Chapter 486

He took a few large strides, pulling her back.

"Chlo-Chlo!"

Chloe staggered for a bit, leaned against him, and then stood upright, staring at him before laughing. "Junior, are you angry?"

Alexander Foster’s brow furrowed slightly: "Yes, I’m angry."

Chloe suddenly looked at him with affection, patting his head like she would Theodore Collins. "Senior sister will show you the light show. Don’t be mad."

"Light show?" Alexander Foster was doubtful.

Chloe hummed and turned around, leading him towards a restaurant with vintage decor.

"We’ll go to the roof first. We’ll have a better view from there."

Instead of heading towards the doorway, Chloe went straight towards the window.

Alexander Foster couldn’t help but smile: "Are you going to fly up there?"

Chloe proudly replied, "That’s not impossible."

As she spoke, she suddenly raised her hand. A silver thread shot out, the end turning into a sharp mechanical claw. With a ’ding’ sound, it embedded itself into the wall!

Alexander Foster’s eyes narrowed in surprise at the high-tech device she had, and wondered where she had gotten it from.

It seemed that she was already quite proficient in using it.

Upon a closer look, it appeared to be an ordinary ring.

What material was the fine, flexible, yet firm thread made from?

He pondered these questions in his mind.

Meanwhile, Chloe had already begun climbing the wall.

As light as a swallow, she held onto the silver thread, leapt into the air, and stuck to the wall like a gecko.

Alexander Foster’s eyes narrowed as he took two steps forward, grabbing her and pulling her back.

"Be good, we’ll go through the front door. We don’t want to attract the police, alright?" He coaxed softly.

Chloe thought for a moment and then nodded: "Fine!"

As she spoke, her finger moved, and the silver thread quickly withdrew. The ring looked no different than before.

"Where did you buy this ring?" he asked.

Chloe looked down at the ring, her eyes instantly filled with pride. "You can’t buy it! My family’s little darling made it for me. He’s so amazing! Just a little bit silly."

Ah, there was a hint of helplessness and disdain in her voice.

Alexander Foster frowned. "Your family... little darling?"

Chloe slowly raised her eyes to look at him and suddenly revealed a mysterious smile. "What, do you want to meet him? No way! I won’t let you see him!"

With that, she broke free from his arm like a wild thoroughbred and ran towards the restaurant doorway.

Alexander Foster could only helplessly follow.

As they entered the doorway, a waiter greeted them.

He immediately asked to be taken to a private room on the top floor, one with the best view.

The private room had windows on all four sides, and the vintage decor gave people a sense of being transported back in time.

Chloe happily opened all the windows. The night breeze blew in, causing the curtains to flutter. The night view swirled around them like a dream.

Alexander Foster quietly adjusted the room’s temperature to its warmest setting.

Seeing her so happy, he temporarily put aside his confusion and asked with a smile, "Are you so happy just opening windows?"

Chloe turned around, her face looking mischievous like a playful fox.

"Shush—Junior, come here."

She beckoned at him.

Alexander Foster obediently walked over and stood in front of her. He couldn’t help but pluck the snowflakes from her hair.

Her hair felt cold, so he warmed it with his palms for a while.

"I’m here," he said.

Chloe turned around and grabbed a curtain. With a sharp tear, she ripped a long strip from it.

Alexander Foster raised an eyebrow: "What are you going to do?"
