Chapter 337: Chapter 337: My Alex is Such a Funny Little Cutie
Chapter 337: Alex is such a funny and adorable little thing
After driving Lilian Pearce home, Chloe Collins took a slow walk in the Tree-lined Path beside the residential compound’s entrance to kill time.
The Affiliated High School was very close, only a few minutes’ walk away. Even on a Sunday, many students were still studying on campus.
Her mind preoccupied, she walked with heavy, slow steps.
As a result, with her extraordinary hearing, she still missed the tinkling sound behind her.
The guy on the bicycle behind her never thought she wouldn’t hear him, so he didn’t slow down at all.
Just as they were about to collide, the boy cried out "Ai! Ai! Ai!"
Chloe’s scattered gaze finally focused, and in the next second, she felt her arm tighten as she was pulled onto the sidewalk.
She suddenly came to her senses, realizing that she had walked onto the road.
Fortunately, there were no cars, only a wobbly bicycle swerving into the autumn sunshine.
Recognizing the familiar scent, she didn’t turn around but asked, "What brings you here?"
Alexander Foster didn’t hide it: "I came to find you."
She still didn’t look at him, but her eyes were no longer as despondent as when she was walking alone. She seemed calm.
"What do you need me for?"
Her hand accidentally plucked two privet leaves. With a little effort, the tender green leaves were twisted into a muddy string between her fingertips.
"Do you have any special plans today?" he asked.
Chloe Collins casually said, "No, but I want some peace and quiet by myself."
"Do you want to come home for dinner tonight?" he asked softly.
After listening for a while and not hearing the purpose of his visit, Chloe finally turned to look at him.
Suddenly, her eyes widened in surprise.
Then, an unconscious smile spread across her eyes. It was faint, but very sincere.
The camera slowly zoomed in on the man in front of her.
Standing amidst the fragmented sunshine, a natural filter enveloped his face. Under the filter’s contrast, his red clown nose seemed even more absurd and funny.
Apparently oblivious to the humor, he stood upright and tall, his gaze gentle, like an unassuming gentleman.
Chloe’s lips twitched, then returned to a calm expression: "It suits you well."
Although it was a departure from his usual style, there was an inexplicable harmony.
This sense of humor perfectly balanced his inherent indifference.
Hearing her say so, Alexander Foster touched the red object on his nose and said, "If there’s nothing else, let’s go home and relax."
Chloe was taken aback and looked at him, "Did you come here just to tell me that?"
With his gaze facing the warm eyes of the others, he squinted slightly and said, "Your Aunt Evelyn misses you."
Chloe suddenly understood, thinking that it must have been Evelyn Thompson’s task for him.
However... that nose probably wasn’t part of it.
She thought for a moment and agreed, as she had originally planned to visit the Fosters this weekend anyway.
As she got into Alexander Foster’s car, her eyes suddenly lit up.
The back seat was covered with all sorts of snacks, surrounded by flowers. Just looking at them was enough to whet her appetite.
Alexander Foster casually picked up a candy. It was a heart-shaped Colorful lollipop with the English word "happy" displayed in the center.
He personally unwrapped the candy and handed it to her: "A pre-dinner dessert."
Chloe looked at him, silently took it, and stared at the lollipop without saying anything.
Interestingly, the heavy feeling in her heart was gradually fading.
It was much more comfortable than being alone in silence.

(Is Alex warm or not? I’ll just ask you whether he is warm or not?! If not, I’ll continue to heat him up!)
