After the feast, Chloe personally escorted Camille to the doorway.

Alan drove her home himself.

Once she left, Chloe returned to the East wing with Evelyn Thompson and the others.

No one mentioned Raine’s matter as long as she didn’t bring it up.

But their words were comforting, telling her to get some rest.

Robert even took the initiative to give one of his most cherished pillows to Chloe.

"Here, this rooster is for helping you sleep. I sleep with it every night, so I’ll lend it to you tonight."

Chloe looked at the rooster and smiled, raising an eyebrow, "What will you do if you can’t sleep then?"

Robert lifted his chin, "It doesn’t matter. I just won’t sleep then."

She smiled lightly, intending to tease him and decline his kindness, but the rooster was already snatched away and pressed against Robert’s head.

"You dare to give it away when it’s covered in your drool?"

"Ouch, brother! No, I don’t drool in my sleep. Don’t slander me!"

Alexander snorted coldly.

Chloe glanced at the tall man beside her, feeling that he was always around, like a shadow following her everywhere.

She dropped her teasing tone, said "Go back to your room" and turned to leave.

Robert clutched the rooster with a worried expression, "Brother, do you think she’s really upset? She’s been slandered by her relatives."

Alexander didn’t say anything and simply walked towards her direction.

Robert sighed and turned to run back to his room.

Chloe returned to her room and saw her 18-inch black suitcase quietly lying on the floor, still open.

On it, two compartments were neatly filled with unique perfume bottles.

She squatted down, her fingertips slowly gliding over each perfume bottle, her eyes filled with deep affection.

These were her treasures.

Now, one of them was missing.

She raised an eyebrow, thinking that she would have to make up for it when she had time.

She closed the suitcase efficiently, locked it with a combination lock, and put it under the bed.

Someone knocked on the door.

"Come in." She sat down on the small couch, facing the doorway.

The door opened, and the tall man stood in the doorway, his deep eyes staring at her.

Alexander brought a glass of juice.

He sat across from her, placed the juice in front of her, "It’s freshly squeezed. Have some."

Chloe didn’t take the juice but simply asked, "What’s the matter?"

The man’s posture was casual, his elbow resting on the armrest, his distinct knuckles resting against his forehead, smiling as he looked at her, "Nothing special, just wanted to see you before bed."

Chloe leaned back, feeling a bit uncomfortable under his blazing gaze, but she didn’t dislike it.

Her eyes lowered, she picked up the glass of juice, her fingers slowly caressing the glass, then took a sip.

She emptied it in one gulp.

She put down the glass, "You’ve seen me already, now leave, I’m going to take a shower."

The man was silent for a few seconds, then suddenly stood up.

His tall body overshadowed her, his breath lingering around her.

Chloe looked up and saw his handsome face inches away from hers, his interesting eyes making her feel as if she was being seen through.

She moved her head back, trying to avoid him.

Suddenly, her head felt hot, and it touched his hand that was resting on the couch.

Just when she was about to speak, the man leaned closer to her ear.
