The protective tone in his words stung her ears.

She raised her head, her lips moving as she had a lot more to say. But suddenly, she saw Alex wave his hand dismissively. Instantly, the Samoyed bared its teeth and lunged at her.

She screamed and ran out of there, utterly embarrassed.

All her good mood from the day vanished because of Chloe Collins.

She looked for an outlet to vent her anger but found none.

Suddenly, the seat next to her shifted.

Seeing his older brother approaching, Robert gave up his seat.
