Chapter 1706: Chapter 1706: The Two Quietly Left the Fosters
Chapter 1706
"This thing was left in Heng’er’s room, I don’t know what it is." Tristan Collins broke out in a sweat, his hands trembling.
Chloe Collins took it over. It was a small airplane model with a glint on its nose.
Chloe fumbled around and found a button on the underbelly of the plane. She pressed it, and suddenly the nose of the plane projected a blue screen.
On it was clearly a map with a red dot moving across it!
"Did he make this himself?"
"He modified it. He was always tinkering with this thing in his room. What is it?" Tristan asked anxiously.
"There’s a tracking device on it." Chloe released the plane, and in an instant, the nose of the plane turned southward.
"His location is to the south."
Seeing this, everyone became anxious.
They all looked to her, waiting for her to make a decision.
Chloe, calm and composed, phoned Alexander Foster, asking him to suspend all matters related to the antidote production underneath.
At the same time, she shut down the laboratory.
She had to ensure the safety of both their lives first, or at least, appear to do so.
Upon receiving the news, Alexander Foster and others hurriedly returned.
That afternoon, Alexander decided he would personally lead a rescue team, while she would oversee everything at home.
Charles Carrington acted alongside him.
Wanda Wesley intended to follow, but Chloe grabbed her, claiming she had special instructions for her.
After everyone had left, Wanda followed Chloe into a room and asked what the matter was.
Chloe told her about eavesdropping on Raine Nolan and revealed Raine’s current location.
"She’s supposed to meet my mom today. I need you to come with me to rescue her."
Wanda expressed concern, "But Mr. Foster said you shouldn’t go out, and with your condition, it’s inconvenient for you to act."
"That’s why I need you to go with me. Don’t worry, she’s acting without the Valley’s knowledge this time, so there won’t be too many people there. Moreover, right now the Valley’s attention is all on Robert Foster and the two others; once Alexander and his team make a move, it will only draw more of their attention, temporarily neglecting this side. This is the best chance to rescue my mother."
Convinced by her words, Wanda agreed with a nod.
As for the rest of the family, they were not informed of this news; the task of stabilizing everyone was left to Layla Lowell.
That day, the two of them quietly left the Fosters’ home, following the trail laid out by Raine Nolan.
Not long after they had left, Tristan rescinded the unreasonable demands from the Valley.
It seemed that the lack of the Whites’ cooperation meant a lack of financial support for the Valley, and they now needed a pharmaceutical merchant to mass-produce the virus, which had led them to target Tristan.
This was another important reason why Theodore was abducted.
Unable to decide what to do on his own, Tristan went to consult with Chloe and arrived next door, but only found Layla Lowell there.
Using the excuse that Chloe was at the laboratory for a checkup, Layla temporarily deceived him.
Then, she turned and phoned Chloe to report the situation.
Chloe replied that they should agree to whatever the Valley demands for the time being and keep them appeased.
----
One day later, the Valley sat at home, watching the news on the screen, elated.
Soon, a subordinate reported that Tristan had agreed to their terms, one good piece of news after another.
He ordered his people, "Once he completes mass production on his end, gather everyone, including the robot army. We’re all going to take action. I want to take over the Capitol in the shortest time possible!"
After giving these instructions, he asked, "What’s the Whites’ stance now?"
