Chapter 1624: Chapter 1624: The Collinses Give to You

Chapter 1624

An hour later, Chloe Collins arrived at the top-floor conference room of the Fosters.

In the vast conference room, Tristan Collins and Alexander Foster each sat on one side without any conversation.

Tristan’s secretary stood behind him, his expression one of near suffocation, until he saw her enter and let out a huge sigh of relief.

For Tristan, it was only after Chloe stepped in that his wandering mind refocused.

"Sit down. There’s something I need to personally tell the two of you," he said.

He had only mentioned the purpose of the meeting to Alexander Foster and didn’t say much, only that the rest would wait until Chloe arrived.

Chloe glanced at Alexander Foster and sat down next to him, facing Tristan.

No matter how much time had passed, the atmosphere between the two of them was always laced with a cold feeling.

She hadn’t changed, but Tristan had changed a bit.

In the past, Tristan’s expression was even worse than hers, but now, he was composed, his emotions calm.

"Mr. Collins, now that everyone is here, whatever you want to say, just say it," Alexander Foster said indifferently.

Tristan collected his thoughts, his gaze fixed on Chloe, and said emphatically, "Your mother is still alive."

Silence.

The air instantly became still.

Alexander Foster quietly grasped Chloe’s hand to help her stay calm.

She took a slight breath and asked calmly, "How do you know?"

Tristan’s expression was grave: "Two years ago, Heng’er told me that he had eaten dishes at school that were made with your mother’s recipes, which made me suspect that she hadn’t died. Later, when I exhumed the coffin, indeed, there was nothing inside."

Chloe: "Weren’t you the one who personally had her cremated before?"

She stared intently into Tristan’s eyes, unblinking.

Tristan hesitated for a moment before slowly shaking his head: "There was no cremation; she said she was afraid of fire, so I didn’t have her cremated."

He said earnestly, "Last night, I got some information from the Whites. She’s currently being held captive by someone named Valleys, and every day... she’s used as an experiment subject for drug trials. I have to find her and rescue her as soon as possible!"

Continuing, his gaze turned to Chloe, "Dealing with Mutated People is not my forte, and since you have experience..." He paused, then added, "As long as you rescue your mother, the Collinses will belong to you afterward."

Chloe replied indifferently, "If this is true, even without your words, I would still go to save her. She’s my mom; whether I save her for you or not, you can keep the Collinses to yourself."

Tristan looked at her with a piercing gaze and said, "Don’t be stubborn with me. Aren’t you all looking for a drug factory to expand your reserves? Across the nation, there’s none more suitable and powerful than my Theramend."

Chloe couldn’t help but think of Evelyn Thompson’s words that working with the Collinses would indeed be a significant support for the company and for the people.

The Whites’ success these past two years also had a lot to do with their cooperation with the Collinses.

She always knew how to prioritize: public affairs first, private matters later.

She looked at Tristan for a long time and asked, "Are you sure you’ll hand over the company to me?"

Tristan replied, "Today I will transfer half of the shares to you, and after your mother comes out, the rest will also be yours."

Chloe suddenly leaned forward, her proud and aloof eyes fixating on him, and she smiled, "That won’t do. I want the whole company, not installment payments."

Her attitude changed so quickly that even Alexander Foster couldn’t help but smile and shake his head slightly, somewhat helplessly.

Tristan’s face slightly changed, and he frowned, "The shareholders won’t agree."

"What’s it to them? Hasn’t it always been you who makes the decisions for your own affairs?" Chloe leaned back, her gaze casual and unbothered as she looked at him.

With an attitude that said whether he would give it to her or not, it didn’t truly matter.
