Chapter 147
Cherry Foster: "A friend happened to see him on the street and reported it to my little aunt. But it seems that it was Chloe Collins who got him back."
Raine Nolan’s face changed: "Her?"
"Yeah, my Fourth Brother was brought back by a group of street racers. When those people came, they yelled Chloe Collins’s name. Guess what they called her?"
"What?"
Cherry Foster laughed and said, "Chlo-Chlo! I almost died laughing."
Raine Nolan also laughed, but her eyes had a different thought.
"Grandpa."
Chloe walked past them and went straight to the Master.
Cherry Foster clenched her lips, her eyes filled with dissatisfaction, and whispered to Raine Nolan: "Why is there no sound when she walks?"
Raine Nolan did not say anything and didn’t listen to her either.
The two of them also followed closely and came to Master’s side.
Seeing them, Master’s face softened a bit.
"Chlo-Chlo, come, sit down." The Master was all smiles when he saw her.
Cherry Foster twisted her body and sat in the seat next to the Master, ignoring Chloe Collins and cooing to her grandpa, "Grandpa, let Fourth Brother go. He’s been running all afternoon. If he runs any longer, you’ll have one less grandson."
Evelyn Thompson, although not liking what she said, ultimately had the same idea: "Dad, Cain knows he’s wrong. Don’t punish him anymore."
Master looked at Chloe: "Chlo-Chlo, this young man is disobedient. What do you think, should we punish him or not?"
Chloe glanced at Robert Foster, who was running not far away like a camel, her expression indifferent: "The thing tied to his foot, does it weigh five pounds?"
Master didn’t expect her to ask so and said solemnly, "Three pounds. What, do you think I’m being cruel?"
Chloe looked coldly at Robert Foster and said, "Only three pounds."
"Hey, what do you mean by that? Are you saying my Fourth Brother isn’t miserable enough?" Cherry Foster said.
Chloe ignored her, looked at the ground, casually picked up a stone, her cold gaze swept over Robert Foster’s back, quickly aimed at a spot, and then threw the stone in her hand.
Like a sharp arrow, the stone accurately landed on the tire behind Robert Foster’s foot.
Her smooth action stunned the four people behind her for a second. They hadn’t seen her move clearly when they heard a click, and the stone had already fallen to the ground.
Robert Foster shuddered, looking at her suspiciously.
Chloe said faintly, "There’s a snake behind you. Run."
Robert Foster immediately tried to jump up, but of course, with something holding his ankle, he couldn’t.
"Where? Where?"
As he yelled and ran, the three-pound wheel behind his foot swayed like a feather with each step he took.
Master burst into laughter, and the gloom on his face disappeared instantly.
"This kid dares to deceive me by acting weak, obviously he still has strength!"
Earlier, Robert Foster had been looking weak and wilted, which made Master angrier the more he looked at him, unwilling to admit that he was his grandson.
Now that he saw him running so fast, the unhappiness in his heart disappeared.
Chloe looked at the time and said, "It’s almost time for dinner, grandpa. Let’s go back."
Master nodded and stood up, "Oh, it’s so late. Well, Daughter-in-law, you stay here and watch him for a while. Let him run a few more laps. Chlo-Chlo, let’s go back for dinner."
Chloe helped him up.
Evelyn Thompson nodded quickly, and after waiting for a few hours, Master was finally willing to leave.
After the two left, Cherry Foster pouted unhappily, "What the hell, our persuasion was useless for so long, and she solved it with a few words. Grandpa’s elbow is turned outwards."
Evelyn Thompson had already run to Robert Foster and started wiping his sweat.
Raine Nolan, seemingly lost in thought, did not respond to her.
