Chapter 1636 1636: Sweet Frustration

"You think so, too?" Lin Yehan asked.

Jin Liwei nodded. "If you're really adamant about your decision, then I suggest asking Dom's family. The Chua family has built quite an extensive array of helpful connections within the Philippines throughout the years in preparation for my wife and me partnering with them. Perhaps they can help you in looking for reputable agricultural trading companies there."

Iris nodded, agreeing with her husband's words. "Eldest Brother, you can come with me when I fly to the Philippines. I might not be able to accompany you as I'll be busy with my own affairs, but you can do your own thing there without any worries."

Then she waved at Dom from across the dining area, calling him to come.

Dom immediately jogged over with a full plate he was devouring. "What's up, boss?"

Iris shared Lin Yehan's intentions with him. Dom immediately nodded.

"Don't worry, Eldest Brother Boss!" Dom said, patting his chest with his free hand. "I'll immediately call and ask my parents after dinner if they know anyone from the agricultural trading business in the Philippines. Then I'll contact Big Sis Yue when I receive their reply."

"Thank you, Dominic," Lin Yehan said with a gentle smile.

Jiang Ying Yue also gave Dom a grateful smile. Then she said to Iris, "If Yehan comes with you, I'll also come. I'll be one of your bodyguards, Xiulan."

"That would be wonderful," Iris said. "But what about Little Jun?"

"If possible, I want to leave my son to accompany his little cousins. I'll explain it to him. Don't worry."

Iris and Jin Liwei looked at each other, and so did Jiang Ying Yue and Lin Yehan. In the end, the two couples agreed to Long Jinjing's offer.

"Great." Long Jinjing smiled.

"Thank you, Big Sister," Iris said.

"Thank you, Jinjing," Jiang Ying Yue also followed suit.

Long Jinjing waved their thanks. "They're my nephews. I love having them around."

Iris and the others were pleased to see that Long Jinjing seemed to have recovered from her depressive thoughts before. It seemed like therapy had been doing wonders for her mental health.

Jin Liwei and the husbands also talked with each other.

"I'll send Ice Cream, Popcorn, Pudding and Chowder with the twins," Jin Liwei said. "Ice Cream gained a couple of pounds. The vet scolded Dominic again during the cats' last check-up."

Lu Zihao glanced at the fat, grey cat lounging on top of a display cabinet. Ice Cream didn't bother joining the other children in playing. Lu Zihao sneered.

"I'll have one of my men help in exercising that cat," he said in a sinister tone. "If she dies of a heart attack one day because of obesity, my little sister will be heartbroken." Then he told Jin Liwei, "Stop coddling the cat. She's so fat that she could barely run without wheezing. It's not healthy."

Jin Liwei sighed. Of course, he knew that Ice Cream was the unhealthiest among his children, human or cat or otherwise. He already tried intervening and even instructed the household staff to all work together in dieting and exercising Ice Cream. Unfortunately, as soon as his wife heard Ice Cream's pitiful mewls of despair, Iris would grow soft-hearted and end up giving their cat daughter some treats.

Seeing his expression, Lu Zihao immediately knew that the reason must be his little sister's soft heart once again. He also sighed.

From across the dining area, the unsuspecting Ice Cream sneezed. The fat, grey cat had no idea that her good days of eating yummy food and lazing around were ending soon. And there would be no Mommy to help her.

Lin Yehan only chuckled seeing his third brother and fifth brother's similar expressions. He patted Lu Zihao's shoulder and said, "I'll leave my son in your wife's care."

Lu Zihao made a sound of agreement. "Little Jun's master will also be there. No need to worry."

After a lovely dinner filled with happy conversations, the guests finally left one by one. Iris invited all of them to stay the night, but they declined. Grandpa Lu almost accepted her invitation, but Lu Zihao dragged the old man with them.

Once everyone left, Huang Yuyan retired to her bedroom while Iris and Jin Liwei took their time walking along the hallways. They held hands and chatted. If only it weren't so cold outside, they would have taken a nice evening walk under the moonlight and the night breeze to help digest the food they ate.

The nannies had already taken the children to sleep long ago just in time for their bedtime.

Iris and Jin Liwei passed by the huge painting, "Once a Mother, Always a Mother", which was one of Ashandra Knightson's best masterpieces.

The couple stood there, admiring the massive artwork. Afterwards, they headed to the indoor forest and messed around there for a while without going all the way.

Although Jin Liwei wanted to do it, he also felt sorry for his wife. Her schedule these days was brutal. However, seeing her bright eyes whenever she went out to work also gave him immense satisfaction.

Once they finally arrived at their bedroom where the children had already been sleeping, Iris grabbed her husband by the shirt and gave him a passionate kiss.

After their mouths separated, their breaths still intermingling, she smiled at him.

"Thank you for today, Liwei," she whispered.

His hands lowered from her waist to her buttocks, cupping them. "You're very welcome, Evelina."

Her smile deepened. Then her eyes fell on his mouth. She licked her lips.

He groaned at the sight of her actions.

He tilted his head and dove down for another deep, open-mouthed kiss.

"Can I?" he asked, a little desperate.

Iris didn't need to think about it. She also wanted him.

"Yes!"

He carried her and set her down on their huge bed.

Both of them did their best to stay as quiet as possible. Even while they were kissing and touching each other, a small part of their attention was still focused on watching out for their twins.

"Let's go to the bathroom," Iris whispered.

Jin Liwei once again lifted her and was about to walk to the bathroom when they heard a cute squeak from the crib bed.

"Mama?" Little Mochi sat up and peeked at them through drowsy eyes. "Dada?"

Iris rested her head on her husband's shoulder. Her back was trembling from laughter…and frustration.

Jin Liwei took a few deep breaths, desperately trying to control his primal urges to just run away with his wife, ignoring their son. It was difficult, but his paternal feelings still managed to win out. Barely.

"Mama! Dada!"

Not good. It would be a disaster if Little Mochi became fully awake. Iris patted her husband's back, signalling him to quickly put her down. Good thing that she wasn't naked yet.

She rushed to the crib bed and scooped up her fussy son.

Little Mochi laid his head on his mommy's shoulder.

Iris began singing her sons' favourite Russian lullaby while patting Little Mochi's back, lulling the little one to sleep. It took a few minutes, but Little Mochi's eyes gradually became heavier until he finally returned to sleep.

After a successful mission, she glanced at her husband who was nowhere in sight. The bathroom door was slightly ajar. She could hear the water running. She couldn't help but sigh.

Her husband must be having a cold shower. She hated cold showers. She could only wait until he was done before she went for her turn.

Jin Liwei finished quickly. In fact, his arousal hadn't yet subsided, but he couldn't leave his wife waiting for too long. Glancing at the time, he could stifle another sigh of sweet frustration.

It was too late.
