Around the giant dragon, dozens of wizards in black cloaks stood in an orderly pattern, bellowing spells out loud. In a split second, a storm howled in, blanketing the area. The sky became dark, the thunderous roar resonating in everyone’s ears. Zheng Qing discerned stout warriors appearing out of thin air, armed with assorted weapons and shielding the wizards from the dragon’s tail and claw attacks, sparking flames on the dragon skin.

At the same time, many wizards layered the controlling spells of ’Ge Zhitianxi’, ’I Ma Huatui’ and ’I’m a Dark Yellow Horse’ onto the giant dragon, making it dizzy and weak.

In a very short time, before the ringing sound from the Thunder Curse had even faded from Zheng Qing’s ears, the fearsome mighty dragon lay sprawled on the grass, motionless.

With the dragon defeated, a team of wizards took care of the residual matters. Some wizards took out various tools from their robes to claim their rewards; some probed around the large pit left by the emergence of the dragon; a few wizards, instead, rushed towards the young wizards.

The one leading was Zheng Qing’s previous interviewer, Thomas.

"You really are a troublesome chap." Thomas, with a gloomy face, strode toward Zheng Qing, complaining before even approaching him, "Do you know that you have landed us in big trouble?"

His words were drowned out by the cheering and banter of the young hunters.

"You guys are awesome!"

"Is this the school’s tutoring team?"

"How did the school find us?!"

"Did you catch the puppet? It ordered Big Mouth Gulu to eat several students!"

Several random questions were thrown at the wizards, who were taken aback, causing even Thomas to register a shocked expression.

Matthew had to step in to rein in the chaotic hunters.

"Silence!" Matthew, the captain of Caron Hunting Team, whose complexion was turning very pale, shouted shrilly. "Where are your manners? This is not right!"

The young wizards quieted down after this reprimand.

Thomas, finally regaining his senses, cleared his throat. He shifted his gaze from Zheng Qing to the other hunters and added in a stiff voice, "Everyone performed well today... Your questions will be answered by someone responsible once we leave the hunting grounds. Not here."

"As for you... You’ve screwed us over!"

While saying this, the tutor glared menacingly at Zheng Qing.

The dumbfounded young scholarship student blinked, looked around at his peers, shrugged his shoulders and asked, "What did I do?"

Thomas seemed not to be in the mood to explain further to Zheng Qing. He fumbled in his pocket and distributed a row of ampuole bottles to the young wizards, stating, "Drink up, Tranquility potion... It’ll be good for you."

Zheng Qing shook the bottle of pale green potion, expertly popped the cap and quickly gulped it down.

He then saw Thomas had moved over to the eucalyptus tree, placing his hands on its trunk. His fingertips glided over the grooves in the dark brown bark as soft murmurs escaped his lips.

A rumbling sound erupted from within the eucalyptus, as if a train was driving out from it. Then the bark uncurled, the trunk cracked, and a tunnel, two meters in height and a meter in width, appeared before everyone.

"Prepare to retreat!"

"One after another, step inside the tree. The other side is a safe zone at school."

"Ladies first, men last... The big cat will leave last! Don’t mess up the order!"

"Hurry up!"

With one hand pressed to the tree trunk and the other gesturing, Thomas called out, "Zheng Qing, you go second to last!"

Hearing Thomas’ stern tone, Zheng Qing glanced back at the ’Tiger Demon’.

From the emergence of the wizards to the defeat of the dragon, such a short time had passed that Zheng Qing had nearly forgotten the large cat following him.

Despite the recent magical tempest and the pummelling of the ferocious dragon by the wizards, this ’Tiger Demon’ seemed oblivious to everything, strolling leisurely back into the shade to play with its ’monkey head’ again.

This left Zheng Qing feeling quite puzzled.

He hesitated, then jogged over to Thomas, quietly asking, "Is that ’Tiger Demon’ retreating with us? Could it be a bit dangerous... might be better to leave it here?"

"Tiger Demon?" Thomas glanced around before his gaze landed on the black tiger playing with the monkey head.

He then raised his eyebrow, "That big cat? Who told you it is a Tiger Demon? ... Just because it has two red eyes makes it a demon? Do you think Old Yao would slap you with a resounding smack?"

"I remember your eye was red a while back, does that make you a half-demon?"

Upon hearing this, Zheng Qing was momentarily stunned, then violently shook his head.

However, this only left him feeling even more dazed.
