Hero Hack: Reversing Heroes and Raising Harem
Chapter 213: Mindless Profit

Chapter 213: Mindless Profit

Zain crouched next to the man’s body and watched closely.

The skin bubbled, the limbs twitched.

The man’s back arched and his mouth opened wide, releasing a low animal growl.

His bones cracked, shifting. Fur sprouted in patches.

His hands stretched into claws, but the transformation stopped halfway.

The figure before Zain looked like a mangled hybrid—not man, not beast.

Zain raised an eyebrow.

"Half-beast, half-trash. Looks like the serum worked."

"Let’s see what class you got."

He opened his system interface and scanned the body.

---

[Class Acquired: Feral Beastkin]

[Active Ability: Feral Shift]

[Enter a beast-like state. Muscles grow. Senses sharpen. Instincts take over. Cannot tell friend from enemy. Dangerous without training.]

[Passive Trait: Beast Senses]

[Enhanced smell, hearing, and reflexes. Difficult to turn off. May overwhelm the user.]

[Passive Trait: Instinct Drive]

[Grows stronger when wounded. Power increases with damage. Control decreases.]

---

Zain tilted his head.

"[Feral Beastkin], huh?"

"Low-tier beast class. Not the worst result. But definitely unstable."

He circled the twitching body.

The creature rolled, drool dripping from its mouth. Its eyes were blank.

No trace of thought or recognition.

"Still, better to deal with a mindless monster than a cunning one."

The beast roared and lunged.

Zain raised one arm, letting the claws swipe past his shoulder.

Sparks flew as the nails grazed his shoulder pad.

The force pushed him back a step.

He let out a small breath.

"Alright. You’ve got power. Let’s see how much."

The beast charged again, this time faster.

Zain ducked under the first strike and jumped back from a wild claw aimed at his neck.

Its attacks were heavy but wild, untrained, purely driven by rage.

Each hit could crush a normal person, but the beast wasted motion.

It didn’t think. It didn’t aim.

Zain grinned.

"Just as expected from the lowest-tier beast class."

He side-stepped another charge and swept his leg forward.

His boot slammed into the beast’s knee.

The creature stumbled, but it didn’t fall. It snapped its jaws toward Zain’s throat.

Zain leaned back and delivered a sharp palm to its chin.

The hit lifted the beast’s head just enough for him to drive his knee into its stomach.

It didn’t even grunt. It just kept swinging.

Zain danced around it, blocking with one arm, countering with elbows, knees, and sharp jabs.

Every attack pushed the beast back a step. But it refused to retreat.

"So your stats are AA-Rank, huh? Not bad for a cheap product."

The beast twisted suddenly, slashing upward in a surprise move.

Zain’s left sleeve tore, a red scratch opening along his bicep.

He looked at the blood.

"Even if you’re brainless, your instincts adapt. Noted."

The beast slammed into him, sending both crashing through a crumbling wall.

Dust rose as they tumbled into a ruined building.

Zain rolled, slid back, and pushed himself up.

The beast didn’t stop.

Zain stood firm.

"You’re a test subject. Don’t get cocky."

The beast raised its claws and leapt forward.

Zain waited until the last second, then ducked low and drove his fist into its ribs.

[Heavenly Demon Ether] flared around his arm like a sharp burst of smoke and fire.

The impact cracked the bone with a dull crunch.

The beast howled, stumbling back, its breath ragged.

Zain stepped in close, grabbed the creature by the throat, and slammed it to the ground.

Dust and stone flew as the beast hit hard.

Its limbs flailed for a moment, trying to get up.

Zain raised his boot.

"Sleep now."

He stomped down hard, [Heavenly Demon Ether] coating the sole of his boot.

The beast’s skull cracked under the force. Its body jerked once, then stopped.

Zain lifted his foot and looked at the mess beneath it.

He crouched, watching the twitching corpse, then reached into his system.

"Let’s see how much you’re worth."

---

[Hack Initiation: Corpse Absorption]

[Target: AA-Rank Villain Corpse (With Class)]

[Hack Points Gained: +1,500,000]

[Status: Absorption Complete]

---

Zain stood up and rubbed his chin. He let the data flow through his mind.

"Cost to make the serum... five hundred thousand."

"Hack points gained from this one... one point five million."

He let out a quiet laugh.

"That’s a million profit. For one mindless beast."

He waited a moment, glancing around.

No system alerts. No warnings. Nothing unusual.

He tapped the air, checking the logs. Still clear.

"So the system doesn’t flag it. That means... this is safe."

Zain held out his hand, and four vials appeared inside his system storage.

"Make four more. Let’s keep the momentum going."

---

[System Confirmation: Serum Creation – Mindlock Variant]

[Quantity: 4]

[Cost: 2,000,000 Hack Points]

[Status: Completed]

---

Zain tucked his hands behind his back and turned toward the alley exit.

He stepped forward.

"Time to farm."

His eyes glinted as he disappeared into the ruins, already searching for his next prey.

---

Blazren leaned against the wall, arms crossed, a faint smirk tugging at the corner of his lips.

The AA-rank lounge had gone quiet again after the earlier shouting.

Neuro still stood there, arms folded tight, his face unreadable behind the flicker of his visor.

"I still can’t believe it," Neuro finally muttered.

Blazren pushed off the wall and walked toward him, slow and steady.

"So what? I earned it. I got the promotion. End of story."

Neuro shook his head.

"That’s not enough for me. You can file all the papers you want."

"But power speaks louder than rank."

Skybrand looked between the two, one eyebrow raised.

"You want him to prove it?"

Neuro didn’t even turn. "Yes. Prove it."

"Fight Skybrand. Beat her, and I’ll acknowledge you as director."

Skybrand cracked her neck and rolled her shoulders.

"Works for me. I haven’t stretched in a while."

Blazren smiled and pointed toward the elevator.

"Let’s go to the training arena. I’ll show you exactly what I’ve become."

Skybrand grabbed her gear from a nearby bench and walked past him.

"Hope you’re not just talk, fire boy."

Blazren followed with steady steps, his tone calm.

"Don’t blink, sky girl. You might miss it."

Neuro stood behind, watching their backs as they left the room.

He pulled up the battle log from earlier on his visor again.

The footage of Blazren defeating Scavratt played in silence. Fire everywhere.

A lion-shaped figure stood in the wreckage. The flames didn’t lie.

Still, Neuro narrowed his eyes.

"Let’s see if that power holds against someone faster."

He turned and walked out of the lounge. The match was on.
