HER ALPHA'S CARNAL SINS -
Chapter 48: Dance with me
Chapter 48: Dance with me
Naomi had wanted to stroll down to the venue as it was quite close but Barton who was well aware of the Kitsunes who were out for her, pleaded with her to join them in the car which she reluctantly agreed to, not sure she’d be able to avoid Daniel.
Daniel soon came along, thanks to his scent, she knew he was coming downstairs to the kitchen. She had to get used to his scent from now on...but... what if she didn’t want to. She just didn’t want to accept the fact that she was mated to someone like Daniel (who was still a teenager) and with what happened there in the room she was sure she was loosing her restraint against him just like he was. She was considering rejecting him as an option.
When Daniel slid into the car, Not much was exchange between the cousins as Barton began moving after shifting the gears.

The venue was filled with lively chatters and the crowd of werewolves who were present was massive. However, thanks to Marcy and the people who had helped her, the place was very organized.
On a raised platform, there was a long table with chairs situated around. These were where people like the Alpha’s, Beta’s and their accomplices sat along with the elders of Dark Risers’s pack.
On another smaller table with just one chair, was the spot made for the soon-to-be Alpha... who was currently absent. No one minded but after several minutes had passed, almost to an hour or more, their curiosity got the best of them and soon, pandemonium set in when no one knew where he was.
Marcy tried calling but no one was picking up. She didn’t think Naomi would be at home as well so she didn’t bother calling her. She cast a nervous glance at the crowd and at the high table on the elevated platform.
The guests and elders were all staring at her which chilled her to her bone marrow. She felt embrassed and looked back at her phone as if expecting a call, her thumbnail between her teeth.
She could pick up a scoff from Alpha Koan and murmurs from the elders.
"Daniel I’m going to kill you for this." She silently threatened, looking through the crowd, hoping to see him.
There was a large table amongst the crowd, exclusively set for interested people who’d like a snack. There were varies of food on it and the bar lounge wasn’t lacking in drinks as well. The music was loud and everyone looked like they were enjoying themselves.
However, Marcy had encountered several people asking about the Alpha and she was tired of making up excuses.
But come to think of it... What if something bad had happened to Daniel? After all, he had gone to scan the area for rogues along with Bartom. What if they had run into a pack of rogues and couldn’t fight them off?
The shaman was seated on the bare ground just close to the exclusive Alpha’s table and chair, in a lotus position, his eyes focusing on something unseen. It was normal for him to be this quiet and lost in his own world at times. So she didn’t bother him and instead, beckoned Brittany who came to her at once.
Her daughter was looking astonishingly marvelous this evening. She had on thigh high boots and a strapless bodycon gown that stopped inches before her boots ended. Her bright green hair was left long and wavy down her back and her make up was light...for the sole purpose on enhancing her features.
"Mother...the elders are saying things..." Brittany whispered as her mother pulled her to a secluded part of the raised platform.
"I know honey... but you can’t blame me. I sent them out to do a simple task. Only goddess knows what’s keeping them but I’m off to look for themm"
"If you leave, there’d be a huger catastrophe here. People will start talking toom"
"That’s why I need your help. You’re going to take Royce to the dance floor."
"What?"
"Just ... invite him for a casual dance. It’s an exclusive dance for the Beta of the Dark Risers’s pack and Blood moon’s pack. Everyone will be so engrossed in the dance, they won’t notice my absence for a minute or two."
Brittany felt uneasy.
"I’m not sure about this mum."
"Oh please Brittany. I have to know what’s keeping Daniel and your brother."
"...Okay...but Naomi’s missing too. I thought she’d come to the party, but she’s not here as well."
"I’ll find her. Just... please do this." With that, she sneakily left the party in search of Daniel and Barton, hoping to see Naomi on the way too.
Brittany sighed and turned to leave when she saw Gamma Matthew, principal of her former High school. He was making her way forward with his daughter. Wow...she was little when she had last saw her. She had grown into a beautiful blonde so quickly.
"Mr. Matthews!" She enthusiastically called outloud. "What a surprise I’d see you here."
"Beta Brittany. Beautiful and bright as ever." They shook hands. "It’s so good to see you. And... you must remember my daughter... Kiara..."
The girl stretched out a hand but Brittany pulled her in a hug and leaned back to look at her.
"Of course. She has grown so big and very beautiful."
Kiara blushed, pushing her blonde hair from her shoulders. She couldn’t say anything yet though.
"I was hoping to see Beta Marcy..."
"Oh..uh..."She began stuttering, not sure what to tell him till she finally found her tongue and made up an excuse. "Yeah.m.you just missed her. She actually went back home to get some more food for the guests."
"Okay...I’ll be more than greatly appreciated if I could talk with her." He said and Brittany assured him she’d do so. After much gratitude had been done, he went back to the partying crowd with Kiara behind him.
Readjusting her gown, she walked over to Royce and held out her arm, causing everyone on the table to stop their conversations and stare at her.
Their stares were heart chilling but her eyes were fixed in her mates eyes.
"Would you care for a dance?" She bodly asked, flashing him her mega watt smile.
Smirking, he caught the hand in the air and gradually got up, only to lean in and leave a kiss lingering on her lips.
"I thought you’d never ask?" Without a word, the two lovers smiled at each other and made their way to the dance floor, gaining the attention of half the people dancing there. Soon they were the only ones dancing to the slow music (Music recommendation ; Say you won’t let go by James Arthur).
As John stood up, Jephthah was sure he’d ask Talia to dance but to his amazement, he asked Dora and she agreed, feeling bored and wanting to show off her glittering red colored Trumpet gown with a flounce arm and an X-cross back design. Her kitten heeled Gucci shoes looked very expensive and to her satisfaction, she earned herself curious and envy stared from several women on the dance floor.
Talia suddenly got up and held out her arm to Jephthah who suddenly wanted the ground to swallow him up.
"Dance with me Jephthah."
She was not surprised that he hesitated. But when his hand trembled as he took hers, she grabbed him off his seat with such a magnificent strength that shocked the others at the table and dragged him to the dance floor.
His stuttering and excuses about not knowing how to dance were like the beat to the music drifting into her ears as she placed her hands on his shoulders and smiled at him.
"Put your hands on my waist and draw me close to you." She suddenly said without missing a beat and he blinked when she shamelessly looked him in the eyes.
"Put my what on your what?"
