Screams were heard in a classroom, and several cute younglings were seen from the window as they stared at the horrific scene of the default dragging Naomi with its large hand, curled around her ankles. It was bent over her, Its hungry saliva dripping onto her cloths.

There was a big gash on her forehead which bleed profusely, but she didn’t relent to struggle as it carelessly dragged her on the ground like a dirty rug.

There was a terrified look in her eyes, but as it kept dragging her, she saw her dagger an inch away; where it had fallen off from the fight, and stretched her hand, curling her fingers around the handle with ease.

Reaching forward by abruptly sitting up, she stabbed it right at the side of the neck before falling back to the ground, watching as the default leaned back, releasing a blood curling growl as it staggered back, blood gushing down its neck like water from a faucet.

Feeling a purging feeling in her stoamch, she quickly scrambled up, getting back on her feet, but at that moment, the default turned to her with bloodlust and began chasing after her, growling, with the dagger still stuck to its neck.

Panting hard, she increased her pace, her eyes wide as she could hear the prancing, loud footsteps of the default closely behind her.

Seeing the playground swing close by, she easily did a cartwheel in the air before landing atop the swing, meeting eye to eye with default who kept coming after her.

The swing shook, threatening to throw her off her feet, but she maintained her stance as she stood there, knee slightly crouched as she waited for it to get close.

Like she wanted, it got closer and she leaped into the air, grabbing the default around the neck, quickly crawling to straddle it from the back.

Her hand hastingly moved, despite the default trying to get her off its back and she grabbed hold of her dagger and pulled it out abruptly, watching as more blood spilled out, soaking her clothes.

"Arrghhhhhhhhhhhhhhuuuuuuuuuu!!!’ The monster yelled as she drove the dagger into the side of his head, but the blade didn’t go in too deep before he ran towards a wall and slammed onto it with his back.

As he pulled away, Naomi lost her composure and peeled off his back, dropping limply to the ground.

The Default growled and shook its head before the dagger dropped to the ground with a clatter.

Just as he made his move to grab Naomi by the head this time, he heard the excited screams of living beings and turned to the direction of it.

The black slash narrowed in his eyes and the flitting hunger remained as he shot towards the building like a missile.

Naomi who was too weak to even move a muscle, shot up from the ground, grabbing onto the dagger as she ran after the default when she noticed where it was headed.

Her heart beat fast and hard in ample to her breathing as she ran with a speed she never knew she had. The adrenaline rush just kept her heart pounding as her legs moved fast across the ground, but it was too late because the default had crashed into the building.

However, she rushed in in time to see him heading for the door with the chair securely placed under the door knob.

Without a thought, she picked a recycle bin from the ground and thew it at him. She missed and it hit the wall, but it did get him to turn towards her with a predatory look in his eyss.

"It’s me you want, not them." She growled defiantly, a bright glint in her eyes as she moved the daggers in-between her fingers before pushing one knee forward, the hand holding onto the dagger backwards, her chin lowered to her chest as she watched him run towards her like a maniac, smashing things in its way, yet she didn’t move.

Just when he got close, she simply slides to the side and watched as he ran into the Janitor’s closet, smashing through the door.

Panting hard, she made to run towards the door, but he had rush out with that same speed as he had crashed Into the closet, knocking her to the side.

Naomi saw black as she slammed Into a wall, feeling the dagger in her hand clatter to the ground. Her half closed eyes could make out the shape of a trail of blood which she had formed with her own body, but her eyes finally widened when she saw a chair beside her and realized it was the one she had kept underneath the door knob.

She got to her feet, hearing the smashing sounds of lockers and walls as the default neared her. Grabbing onto the chair, she raised it up and brought it down with a scream as the default reached out for her.

There was a smashing sound and she opened her eyes to see the default glaring at her in anger and rage before he flung his hand, trying to hit her, but she swung her leg and kicked his ankle which was its weak spot since she noticed he was limping after crashing into the Janitor’s closet.

She watched him fall miserably to the ground before she dropped to her knees, panting hard, feeling her eyes grow misty as she blindly searched for her dagger.

Just as she reached out and grabbed it, she was thrown up to the air by the default, but as she crashed down, she screamed, dragging the blade across its face before she fell to the ground again.

The default screamed and crashed into things, things which included the door that guarded the kindergartners whose screams alerted Naomi who was weakly dying in a pool of her own blood from meeting hard with the ground.

"N- No... " Her eyes slowly closed on seeing the kindergartners scatter around the school hallways as the default knocked down paintings and toys in the room. "This .. can’t be happening." She suddenly growled and got up, staggering slightly.

No. Daniel trusted her. The parents of these children were trusting them in her care. The entire Dark Risers’s pack trusted her. Her friends did. Everyone did. She had to prove the Elders wrong. She just had to.

Bending down, she picked the blade off the floor as she targeted the side of his forehead which she had pierced previously, but didn’t have the time to finish him off as she was thrown off immediately.

As the default growled in pain, she turned to the kids.

"Everyone!! Go outside!!! Now." She yelled, and they all obediently scampered, running out as fast as they could with their small legs. As she turned to the default, it had already begun running straight at her with bloodlust in its eyes.
