Chapter 80: Fighting the System

Chapter 80: Fighting the System

Elton spoke up, his voice heavy with memory. "I have a pretty good idea of who Ray’s father was, but I can’t be for sure. I was running late that night coming back from work, and I wasn’t due for another almost three weeks to go into cycle. But since I was young and had transitioned recently, my cycle came on strong, early and fast."

He paused, the weight of the story settling over the room. "I was taking the shortcut, which I shouldn’t have, and there was a group of Genmen. One of them reached out and grabbed me. Two seconds later I was stripped down to my ankles and I was over a bale, and he had me. It was my first time and he hurt me. When he was through, the other seven took their turns, and then he had me again."

Elton’s voice grew quieter. "He slapped me on the ass and said, ’See you in nine months, bitch.’ It’s my curse for being born a Genman."

"Charlie helped me when I got here," he continued. "He called Lex and they cleaned me up, put salve on my vent. Lex called Mr. Z. He came here, saw me, saw the damage that was done. He comforted me and told me the Z1 takes care of its own, and that the baby and I would never need for anything."

The room fell silent for a moment before Elton spoke again. "That night eight Genmen disappeared. I don’t know who it was and I don’t know what happened to them or who did it, but Mr. Z is true to his word—the Z1 takes care of its own."

"When I went to deliver him, he was way too big and Ray wrecked my vent. I had to have stitches and there was nerve and muscle damage done, so I’m not normal there anymore." Elton’s voice became strained. "Lex said either I won’t feel nothing or I might even feel pain when I decide to have sex again, but I’ll never be tight there again. It will always be loose, so no one’s going to want to make love to me. I might as well have had thirty kids—he stretched me out that bad. Most first-timers don’t have an eighteen-pound-plus child, though, but his father was large."

Raymond cleared his throat and began speaking. "Well, that might be just as well. You see my hand? I have no little finger on my left hand. There never was one to develop—if you look, it’s just like it never existed because it didn’t. And well, other parts of my body got too big. I couldn’t go to PE class because all the kids made fun of me. They called me orange nuts, grapefruit balls, and because of another appendage, rhinoceros cock."

He shifted uncomfortably in his seat. "One young lady that I did talk back to my room—she was ready for me and waiting. I took off my shirt, lowered my pants, then removed my jock. When it all came tumbling out, she screamed, threw the pillows at me and everything off the nightstand, and called me a freak. Then she told me to get the hell away from her, that she would never want to do anything with me. So what if you’re loose? You might be big enough for me to consummate a relationship with."

Everyone looked at Deke, who nodded knowingly. "Yeah, Deke the Dick, Deke the elephant, Deke the horse dick—we all have our differences, our gifts or our curses. It’s how we treat ourselves. And yeah, I’ve had my failures in the bedroom too. Picked up one old gal, a slut off the corner. When I went to enter her and went in kinda hard and deep, she screamed bloody murder, ran for two blocks holding her cooter, calling me every nasty name she could."

Charlie smiled broadly. "Well, now that we got that out of the way, anybody ready for a fresh piece of cherry pie? I got one fresh-baked, and that’s the only cherry in this house."

They all started laughing.

Deke and Raymond said goodbye for the night. It was a little long, but hey, everybody got to kiss in.

When they got back to the house, Raymond turned to his companion. "Thank you very much, Deke. I appreciate what you did for me tonight, and I will take it nice and easy and slow. I want to try to talk to Ed to see if I can get moved here since much of the construction is here. So why do you need to ride back and forth all the time to the city just because I’m there? Why can’t I be here that way I can be closer to my work, Elton, and little Ray? Because they’re my future."

"We might see Ed over the weekend—one can never tell," Raymond replied. "But when he’s here, it’s usually no business. When he sees you here, Raymond, he might have a question of why you’re here on the ranch so much, and then you had better be truthful with him. You came to be with the loves of your life. And believe me, Ed will know all too well what that feels like."

Deke continued, "He may want to put you in a pod home on the Hawthorne side, but since we’re all one big ranch now other than on paperwork, we can walk side to side all the time. He just might understand exactly where you’re coming from. Plus, you can always tell him I’m already here full-time other than having to travel back and forth to the city. That would cut down time for travel and make more time for work if you were here."

The two coworkers said good night and went to their separate rooms. Raymond couldn’t help but dream about Elton and what it would be like to make love to him.

The next morning, Raymond had an idea. "What if I go to HR and request to be moved here, or have you request for me to be moved here? We wouldn’t have to involve Ed and it would look like it was good for the company, without causing a major crisis or stink with some people that still have problems with mixed couples."

"Kid’s right. I’ll request it," Deke thought aloud. "Don’t worry about it, Raymond. I’ve got it taken care of. I’ll request it Monday—we go to the office. Correction, I mean Tuesday, since Monday is a holiday."

Tuesday rolled around and Deke put in the request. Almost immediately there was an answer in the email: Request denied. Move not required. Must work remotely.

Deke responded: As section lead, I request this move to be reevaluated.

Five minutes later: Denied again. Request denied. Request closed. HR Manager R.C. Anderson.

Deke requested three times a week for the next three weeks. Every time it was rejected by R.C. Anderson, HR manager. Deke was pissed. He requested some files be transferred for study, and then Mr. Anderson suddenly denied his request, stating: "Sensitive materials may not leave the office nor be broadcast on unsecured channels."

Deke was furious. He didn’t know who Mr. Anderson was, but he was going to find out who Deke Reynolds was the hard way.
