Help! My Male Employees Are Having Babies!
Chapter 69: The Miracle of Nasty Eggs

Chapter 69: The Miracle of Nasty Eggs

Ed got out of bed and showered, making himself ready for the day. When he went to his lover, he gently shook him awake. "Wake up, baby. We have a meeting across the divisional line several hours away."

Carter stretched slowly. "Can you make this one without me? I’m real tired this morning and I’m a little off. Why don’t you take Tim with you today? I’m sure the construction department can spare him for a few hours or even the whole day. Maybe I’ll feel better when you get back."

Ed left Carter in bed, kissed him goodbye, then closed the door behind himself.

Tim was in the kitchen area drinking a cup of coffee when Ed entered the room. "I need you to go tell Jared that you are going with me today. You can see how I run this end of the company—you know all about running a ranch, now you’ll see what it takes to run the business end of a company. It will give you good knowledge for later on."

Tim was very excited. He drank his coffee very quickly, burning his tongue in the process, and ran back to their room so he could change into some nice clothes—something that would be suitable for professional businessmen.

Jared was still recovering from last night; his entrance was throbbing. He was proud of his man. Not only did Tim get to be alone with Ed in case they needed a little time in a hotel room, but he would be introduced to Ed’s associates and could learn all he could about the business that Ed and Carter owned.

Tim redressed in the best business attire that he had. It was informal business attire, but still, Tim thought he looked sharp. He made sure that he was clean in case Ed wanted to have a little alone time later after the business.

Ed was impressed when Tim walked down the hallway all dressed up in his best. He gave him a whistle. "Damn, you are one fine looking business partner I am going to have on my arm today. Who knows, we might have time for a little bit of extra if we finish early enough." Ed leaned over and kissed him on his cheek and patted his ample backside.

Jared smiled from the hallway. Ed was a hell of a lover, a very good and tender person. As for the human, he was the best human that Jared had ever met. He would take good care of his Tim on this trip.

It was a few hours later when Jared decided to go knock on Carter’s door to check on him. Carter invited Jared in.

Jared walked over to Carter, who looked a little out of sorts, and touched his forehead—he was warm to the touch. "Are you okay, Carter? You don’t look the best. Your color’s a little off and you’re running a little temp."

"Jared, it must’ve been something I ate that didn’t agree with me. I just don’t feel good. One minute I’m cold, and the next minute I’m just almost burning up, and I’m a little nauseous."

Jared sat on the side of the bed. "Let me get you a towel or at least a damp rag. I’ll be right back." Jared returned and applied the cool cloth to Carter’s forehead. Carter was starting to shake again—he was not doing well.

"Thank you, Jared. I feel like I could throw up my guts and it wouldn’t be enough. I have never felt like this before, never."

"Carter, did you and Mr. Ed use protection last night? Because you were very passionate by the sounds of everything going on."

"Jared, we never use protection. It wouldn’t do any good—you don’t know, but I’ve been checked out by the best, and I just don’t have any eggs to fertilize so I can give Ed a child." About that time, the burning started. Carter was in pain.

Jared remembered what Tim had done for him and placed his hand upon Carter’s stomach, gently rubbing in a circular motion. Soon it settled down and Carter was feeling better. "Thank you, Jared. I don’t know what you did, but I feel a thousand percent better now."

"Not much—I just calmed the child as he went through his transformation into a hybrid."

Carter looked at Jared almost in horror. "What child? What transformation? There’s no way I can be pregnant. All the best doctors told Ed and myself that there was no way I would ever carry a child—I’m infertile."

"But Mr. Carter, when science fails, nature will find a way. Maybe in the sea of hormones here—with Tim pregnant, me pregnant, and everybody around you pregnant—your body decided it was time."

"But Jared, all the best doctors told us there was no chance. Zero chance."

"Mr. Carter, that tells you exactly what doctors know—they don’t know everything. Miracles happen, just like this life that you and Ed created last night." Jared’s voice was gentle but firm. "I want you to stay in bed, and I’m going to make you a traditional Genman morning-after breakfast. It will help feed the baby and calm him as he develops. I’ll be back in a little while—just rest."

When Jared left the room, Carter reached down and began to rub his bare belly. "I hope it’s true, and I pray to everything above that it is. But I won’t get our hopes up. I’ll give it a couple of days and I’ll go see Lex to have a test."

After a while, Jared knocked on the door and entered with an entire tray of food. "Here’s your breakfast, Mr. Carter, served to you in your bed so that you and that child you carry can grow strong. You need to stay in bed all day until Mr. Ed gets home. Then the choice is up to you."

"Jared, please don’t say anything to Tim or anyone else, but in a couple days I want you to go with me to see Lex. I want to know for sure, and when I have those results in my hand, I want to tell my husband that he has made me the happiest Genman in the world. And between you, Tim, and myself, we will fill this house with love and babies. If this is my only child I have, we can still fill it up just with a little bit of help."

Jared leaned over and hugged Carter. "You have my word—I shall say nothing to no one, and I will proudly go with you to see Lex and have it verified. But the way you’re scarfing down the nacknor eggs, I would say it’s one hundred percent positive. Because only pregnant Genmen or hybrids can stomach those damn nasty things."

Carter looked at Jared and laughed. He was right—only a pregnant Genman or hybrid could eat nacknor eggs.

The trip was a nice one, nothing out of the ordinary. The meetings were intense. Tim took in every word they said; he took notes continuously as everyone spoke, writing as fast as he could. He was learning a lot—his Genman mentality for learning was helping him tremendously. Ed was a very skilled negotiator, sometimes cutthroat and almost ruthless to get what he wanted in the deal.

Tim was proud of Ed; he was proud that this man chose to help him out and be the father of his offspring that he carried. Tim couldn’t help but feel that the baby was also very connected to his father. When Ed’s voice rose, the baby moved within him. It was almost as if there was a battle going on inside of his body.

During one of the breaks, he called Jared to make sure everything was okay and to tell him how Ed was really handling the business—he had that board under his thumb.

At the end of the day, when the meeting succeeded, Ed and Tim walked away with everything plus a whole lot more that was needed to make the company succeed.

Ed was sitting in the driver’s seat driving, and Tim was taking in the sights when the vehicle pulled into this very posh hotel. "What are we doing here? I thought we were going home."

Ed patted Tim’s leg. "All in good time. Now that we got that business out of the way, it’s time for me and you to have some fun."

Tim saw the nice pool and exercise rooms and everything that was in the lower level and yearned to go swim, even though he didn’t know how to. But he was sure he could learn quickly.
