Chapter 213: Deny!
Chapter 213: Deny!
Leon lay dazed and boneless, and sweat caused a sheen across his flushed skin. His chest still heaved, but the glow in his blue eyes had gone hazy, and very, very satisfied.
Riven licked his lips, tidied his mouth with a swipe of the thumb, and grinned to himself. He kissed his way up Leon’s body, lingering at the crest of the collarbone, grazing his teeth just enough to send a shiver through the spent king.
"You look cute when you’re like this," Riven murmured, unable to resist the urge to brush a damp strand of gold off Leon’s brow.
"You- ugh," Leon managed between gasps, eyes glazed and unfocused. He did not seem in his right mind even after the release. He closed his eyes.
He took a moment to admire the way the dim light of the room danced over Leon’s features, accentuating the softness of his expression. Leon was handsome when he did not speak, the moment he opened his mouth, he offended everyone.
Realising that Leon was completely asleep, Riven moved. He got off and gently untied Leon’s hands. His fingers brushed lightly against Leon’s skin, which made him feel a kind of intimacy.
He helped him into a more comfortable position, cradling him against a plush pillow, ensuring that every part of Leon was at ease.
’I am doing aftercare... I really am a good Dom, aren’t I?" Riven smiled with pride.
Stepping back, Riven felt a swell of affection in his chest as he looked at Leon, so serene and vulnerable. It made him want to protect him. Riven slid off the bed and curled up on the sofa, he was a gentleman. Humph!
---
The morning light streamed through the curtains, casting a warm glow across the room. Riven stirred on the sofa, his mind slow to wake, still muddled from sleep. He blinked a few times, taking in the surroundings, feeling the comfort of the blanket wrapped around him. It took a moment for the events of the previous night to come rushing back.
Well... So that happened.
Riven was not surprised, this was normal for him.
Across the room, Leon was already moving, pulling on some clothes that looked slightly rumpled and uncomfortable. Riven watched him, still half asleep, trying to shake off the fog in his brain.
Leon turned, a look of gratitude in his eyes, and gave Riven a warm smile. "Thanks for bringing me back to my room last night and helping me get out of those... Uh, uncomfortable clothes," he said, with an alienating calmness.
Riven frowned... Is this guy not gonna talk about what happened? Riven felt that it couldn’t be... Leon never kissed a guy before, and yesterday they did a lot worse than just kiss! Is he not going to mention it at all?
As the door swung shut behind Leon, a heavy silence fell over the room. Riven blinked, whaaat-
Leon pretended not to know anything and left. But on the way back to his room, Leon was internally screaming. He kissed Riven! What! How did that happen?! Recalling last night’s events, he felt a blush creep up on his face. ’I cannot believe... That wolf and I? No... It’s just a dream! It had to be!’
As Leon walked briskly down the corridor, his mind raced. He replayed the previous night’s events over and over, each memory more vivid than the last.
He remembered the warmth of Riven’s lips, the way their bodies had pressed together, and the way Riven took him in... That cocky look on his face... No, stop thinking about it, Leon.
What had he done?
This was not him, he was clearly under the influence of something. That was it! Someone... Did something to him, and when he finds that person-
He reached his room and closed the door behind him, leaning against it for support. His heart pounded in his chest, and he pressed a hand to it, trying to steady himself.
"Get it together, Leon," he muttered. "You’re the king... A king that still has to serve him for three more days..."
Back in the guest room, Riven sat up on the sofa, running a hand through his hair. He couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off. Leon’s behaviour had been too casual, too dismissive. He did all that hard work only for that lion to not remember anything, what a waste!
Riven sighed, standing up and stretching. Well, what’s done is done. They will surely have more moments in the future. He was going to make sure of it.
As much as he would love to make Leon work for him, Leon was avoiding him, no, this won’t do.
---
Later that morning, Riven sought out Leon.
Leon was seated on a bench, staring off into the distance, lost in thought. Riven approached cautiously, unsure of how to navigate the situation.
"Mind if I join you?" Riven asked.
Leon looked up, startled, then nodded. "Of course."
They sat in silence for a moment, the tension between them palpable.
"About last night..." Riven began.
Without missing a beat, he looked up at Riven and smiled casually. "Hmm? What’s there to talk about? I think it was a grand success."
A success?! Riven’s eyes widened. "A- A grand success, you say?" Riven could not tell! Was he bluffing? Did Leon remember or not, because his gut told him that Leon knew everything, but he could not find any faults in the lion’s expression?
"I was able to scare those officials and start making things right. I say it was a success." Leon looked at Riven like he was acting weird.
Riven opened his mouth to speak again, but shut it. What could he say? I gave you a blowjob yesterday? Nope!
"Well, if you say so," Riven muttered, scratching the back of his neck. "Success. Sure."
Leon stretched, arms arching over his head. "Well then, I will get going." He was in a hurry to leave. He could tell that Riven was onto him. But he was going to deny it to the end!
