Chapter 120: A Bane To Elemental Type Cultivators

Although elemental-type cultivators might seem weaker compared to the other two types, the reality was far from the truth.

This was because the higher an elemental cultivator’s cultivation base, the more spiritual energy they possessed.

While turning incorporeal consumed more spiritual energy as their cultivation base increased, in a prolonged battle between a beast-type and an elemental-type cultivator, the elemental type would generally win.

However, Lin Feng was an anomaly in this regard, simply because he had multiple ways to counter elemental type cultivators.

First, he possessed the Alpha Wolf’s Domain, which used his aura of dominance to suppress his enemies.

This weakened their fighting spirit and intimidated them, increasing the likelihood of them subconsciously reverting to their physical forms.

Second, the Spirit Suppression Art was essentially a cheat code when fighting against elemental type cultivators.

In a battle of attrition, the art’s passive effect of destabilizing an opponent’s thoughts during combat synergized perfectly with his Alpha Wolf Domain.

If he managed to leave a Spirit Suppression Mark on them, it would become exceedingly difficult for these cultivators to enter their incorporeal forms, as the fear manifesting within them would disrupt their control.

The fact that Lin Feng had two weapons in his arsenal specifically to counter elemental-type cultivators, made his existence their natural bane.

This was evident in his fight against Mo Chen. Technically speaking, even though Lin Feng was much stronger now, landing hits on Mo Chen shouldn’t have been so easy.

Mo Chen could have simply gone incorporeal, just as he did the first time.

The problem, however, lay in the constant suppressive force radiating from Lin Feng’s Alpha Wolf Domain.

Coupled with the fact that his attacks carried the same suppressive force, it was a double dose of suppression, making it incredibly difficult for Mo Chen to focus. This ultimately led to his downfall.

Although I’m not sure if my future fights against elemental cultivators will go this smoothly, this is definitely valuable experience.

Feng then turned his gaze toward Mo Chen, whose face was bloodied and bruised.

He struggled to stand, but having taken such a direct hit to the face for the first time in a long while, he was visibly shaken.

When Feng began walking toward him, eyes filled with murderous intent, panic surged through Mo Chen.

"Hey! Do you even know what you’re doing?! I’m a subordinate of Wei Jun—the young master of the Wei Clan! If you dare lay a finger on me, you’ll suffer a fate worse than death!" Mo Chen screamed, desperately trying to crawl away as he shouted.

"Hey! Wei Mun, you better get over here and help me! You know I’m not like those other bastards—I’m special! If I die here, Wei Jun won’t let you off!!" Mo Chen roared, desperately trying to draw attention to himself in hopes of finding an opportunity to escape.

It was clear that the combined effects of Lin Feng’s Alpha Wolf Domain and his sustained injuries had caused him to lose his senses.

When you really thought about it, even if Lin Feng and Mo Chen had fought head-on, Mo Chen’s status as an elemental-type cultivator meant he could have prolonged the fight.

Even though Lin Feng was confident in his victory, the battle should have taken much longer, and the injuries he sustained would have been at least more severe than what he had right now.

After all, Mo Chen could have simply kept his distance, using his Heaven’s Pact to bombard him with the Red Cloud Art while evading direct combat.

But instead of taking the logical approach, he had made a fatal mistake—rather than retreating and creating space, he had actually rushed toward Lin Feng in their last exchange.

I guess my Alpha Wolf Domain also has this kind of effect,

Feng mused as he finally closed the distance between them.

Mo Chen, now face-to-face with him, stared into Feng’s cold gray eyes, fear evident in his expression.

And yet, despite his trembling body, he still tried to put on a tough front.

"Hey, you! Why are you even working with the Chen Clan? Don’t you realize that Silverpine City is going to be ruled by the Wei Clan eventually? Haven’t you heard the news? The Church of Heaven is allying with the Wei Clan—it’s obvious what they’re trying to do! They’re planning to wipe out the Chen Clan together!" Mo Chen spoke urgently, trying to persuade Lin Feng to switch sides.

However, the moment those words left his mouth, a furious voice erupted from the battlefield.

"Mo Chen! Are you trying to die?! Do you even know what the hell you’re saying, you dumbass?!" Wei Mun roared.

He was locked in a heated battle with Huang Bei, who, despite being weaker during his fight with Yi Bei, was actually now on equal footing with Wei Mun. Mo Chen’s reckless words momentarily distracted him, giving Huang Bei the perfect opening.

"Black Bull Art: Rage Punch!"

BOOM!

Wei Mun was sent flying, crashing into the ground as he coughed up a mouthful of blood. Yet, unlike Mo Chen, he immediately forced himself back to his feet, refocusing on the fight.

Without hesitation, he summoned a massive stone pillar that shot toward Huang Bei.

"Stonehide Dragon Art: Stone Pillar!"

Lin Feng, who had inadvertently listened to the exchange, didn’t care about whatever schemes or alliances they were talking about. His focus remained solely on one thing—and he was about to act on it.

Raising his right hand, dark-silver spiritual energy surged around his fist. His voice was calm, yet beneath it burned a chilling killing intent.

"It’s time to die, Mo Chen."

Without another word, Lin Feng dashed forward, his fist hurtling straight for Mo Chen’s head.

The intent was clear—he was going to finish the job and crush Mo Chen’s skull like a watermelon.

"AHHHHH!!!" Mo Chen screamed, his voice filled with desperation as he clawed at the air, struggling to summon even a sliver of spiritual energy.

His body trembled, drenched in sweat, as he fought against the overwhelming force pressing down on him
