Chapter 100: Wei Zihao

While Yan Hao and Yan Li were laughing and enjoying themselves, they failed to notice a figure in a brown uniform slowly approaching their table, his aura radiating malice and greed.

This man, named Han Jun, took a few deliberate steps across the brothel before stopping in front of the twin brothers and asking a question.

"Hey, brothers, care to share a bit of that haul you got?" Han Jun smiled wickedly, his gaze lingering on the lavish spread of food, wine, and the girls surrounding Yan Hao and Yan Li.

Yan Hao was the first to sober up, narrowing his eyes at the intruder as he tried to shake off the haze of alcohol. Forcing a hearty laugh to ease the tension, he spoke.

"Sure, brother! Order any food, drink, or woman you want—it’s on me!" Yan Hao said, glancing toward the girls at his side. Despite their unease, they giggled and smiled, playing along to lighten the mood.

"Hoh? What if I wanted all of it—would you give it to me?" Han Jun replied cockily, trying to act tough as he locked eyes with Yan Hao.

This time, it was Yan Li who reacted. Finally sensing the strange atmosphere building around them, he leaned forward, his voice laced with drunken bravado.

"Hey, don’t push your luck too much, Wei Clan dog. I see that brown uniform—don’t you know this is Chen Clan territory?" Yan Li spat out, the alcohol loosening his tongue. If he were sober, he would’ve known better than to provoke anyone—especially in the world of cultivation, where strength reigned supreme.

Hearing himself called a dog, Han Jun’s expression twisted with rage. "You’re the bastard, you Chen Clan bitch! You think you can disrespect me---You’re nothing but a damn leech!" he roared.

Without warning, Han Jun lifted his right leg and slammed it down on the table. A surge of spiritual energy erupted from him, shattering the table in half and cracking the floor beneath it. The oppressive aura he unleashed left no doubt—Han Jun was at the 6th level of Qi Condensation.

"AHHHHH!" The brothel erupted into chaos as the women screamed and scattered in panic. Even the patrons—who had only come to enjoy themselves—rushed toward the exits, desperate to escape. No one wanted to be caught in the crossfire of someone daring enough to cause trouble in Chen Clan territory.

Yan Hao and Yan Li shivered as cold realization washed over them. They were in serious trouble. Both brothers were only at the 4th level of Qi Condensation—despite forming their Heaven’s Pacts, neither had taken cultivation seriously. In contrast, Han Jun’s aura made it clear—he was at the 6th level of Qi Condensation, far beyond their reach.

"Damn it, Yan Hao, what do we do?" Yan Li stammered, panic creeping into his voice as the blood drained from his face. The two brothers instinctively backed away from Han Jun.

Yan Hao gritted his teeth, trying to think clearly. "We just need to stay alive. If these idiots are bold enough to attack a brothel owned by the Chen Clan, someone higher up must’ve given the order. We hold out until reinforcements from the Chen Clan arrive—that’s our only chance!"

Without waiting for a response, Yan Hao grabbed Yan Li’s arm and pulled him into the surging crowd, hoping the chaos would help them escape Han Jun’s wrath.

But it was obvious Han Jun wouldn’t let them escape so easily. Channeling spiritual energy into his right hand, a formidable knuckle brace shimmered into existence. With a fierce dash forward, he slammed his fist into the ground.

A violent tremor erupted, rippling through the floor like a mini-earthquake. The entire brothel shook as the ground beneath Yan Hao and Yan Li cracked and buckled, sending them sprawling. A wave of spiritual energy surged through their bodies, tearing at their meridians. Both brothers coughed up blood, heavily injured from a single strike.

"Fuck! How are we so damn unlucky?!" Yan Hao spat through gritted teeth, blood dripping from the corner of his mouth. The difference in cultivation was simply too vast—escaping was no longer an option.

"We just got out of one disaster, and now another one shows up—what the fuck!" Yan Li groaned, clutching his chest as the powerful spiritual energy wreaked havoc inside his body. Pain surged through his meridians, leaving him barely able to move.

Despite their injuries, it was clear Han Jun wasn’t aiming to kill them—if he had been serious, they’d already be dead. Whatever he wanted, it was far from over.

"Heh, you idiots are lucky our boss wants you alive. If you know what’s good for you, you’ll cooperate—unless you’d rather have your cultivation bases crippled," Han Jun sneered, a sinister grin spreading across his face. He was clearly enjoying the spectacle.

Before he could continue, the sound of heavy footsteps echoed behind him. The air grew heavier as Wei Zihao, the mastermind behind the ambush, finally stepped into view.

Yan Hao and Yan Li’s expressions darkened as they recognized the newcomer. So that’s how it is... Yan Hao thought bitterly before speaking through clenched teeth.

"Wei Zihao, was this really necessary? You could’ve just asked around and gotten the information you wanted."

The man before them was tall and broad, built like a human tank. A jagged scar ran down his face, making his already menacing appearance even more terrifying. Like most members of the Wei Clan, he looked more like a brute than a cultivator.

Wei Zihao chuckled coldly. "Then this should be simple," he said, stepping closer. "Tell me everything you know about the person Chen Mei brought here earlier today, and I’ll let you go without any trouble. But if you refuse..." His lips curled into a malicious grin, leaving the threat hanging in the air.

Despite the pain surging through his body, Yan Li’s defiant spirit flared to life. He spat on the ground, glaring up at Wei Zihao with pure hostility.

"You bastards! Did you really think we’d betray our benefactor for Wei Clan dogs like you?" he growled. "We might be cowards, but we’re not traitors, you sons of bitches!"
