"The orphanage used to be here. This is where I grew up " Arrie pointed towards the recreational park at the other end of the street with an emotional expression.

Traumatic memories of this place flickered through her eyes. Unlike the past however, she currently didn’t shiver or have a post traumatic reaction. She just smiled as though she were recounting a distant memory .

Kailen ,Charles and Micheal stared at the place where she had pointed.

A group of kids could be seen playing around in the recreational park.

" How paradoxical . In the past ,the building that stood here was not just my hell ,but hell for other children too. However ,this place is now a recreational park, place where people and most in particular, kids ,gather for happiness"

She sighed as she chuckled lightly.

" Its something else, life " Kailen held her hands as he sighed.

She leaned on his shoulder .

"Perhaps " Kailen brushed his hands through her hair as he spoke " You will no longer remember this place as your hell, but as a place where people gather to entertain themselves right?"

" I suppose " Arrie muttered softly.

Charles and Micheal stood by the side,watching the couple caught in their moment.

" Do they even see us?" Micheal whispered to Charles.

" Dude, I think we are probably wearing some invisibility cloak or something. Those two are having a moment as if we don’t even exist" Charles said " Besides ,I don’t want to end up with bumps on my head again-"

" We can hear you guys " Arrie snorted playfully.

Micheal and Charles cleared their throats awkwardly in a dramatic manner.

" Carry on ,carry on my good lady and good sire. "Yeah,We could rent a room for you lot " Charles added more fuel to Micheal’s words.

The group broke into a fit of laughter.

Finally ,their laughter dwindled and died down.

Only silence remained.

Micheal and Charles stood by Kailen and Arrie’s side as they stared at the recreational center for a while.

Kids giggled and played around.

Couples were having picnics here and there.

Many other light warming activities were going on here at the moment.

" Are you really okay Arrie?" Micheal asked concerned.

Arrie inquired " About what?"

" Killing you know...her..." Micheal sighed . Honestly he was still worried inasmuch as Arrie had returned to her usual bubly self again.

Killing her biological mother herself even though she was better off dead ,was something that would traumatise most people,no matter how justifiable the reason was.

"I’m glad you are worried about me but, I’m good big bro. My concept of family, is different from what most people think. The first person to treat me as a family did not even give birth to me . Tell me,if you were me ,what would that tell you?"

Arrie stared at Micheal with a bubbly expression.

Micheal replied with a contemplative gaze " Well, I suppose it means there’s more to family than being related to someone by blood. A stranger you meet somewhere might treat better than your own biological kin treats you. There’s a saying that there’s a friend that sticks closer than a brother. That means that the people who can be considered your family does not necessarily have to be your kin. They only have to be there for you,love you and stand through thick and thin with you. If someone is biologically related to you and does not have these qualities , they are not your family "

Kailen nodded at Micheal’s words ,chiming in " In simple words ,family is simply those who give shit about you and will do anything for you,whether they are biologically related to you or not"

Arrie nodded at their words " Thats why there’s no need for you guys to be concerned about me. I have to admit that it felt somewhat conflicting to kill her,because of a biological connection. But that woman and Xandros hurt Kailen deeply. She also hurt your mother deeply ,Charles . She also hates my mother ,Helena. I won’t say something cliché about killing her because she hurt millions of people. I did it because I hated her, and she harmed my family . You guys are my family "

Everyone stared at Arrie with dumbfounded expressions.

" Errrrm" Finally Charles managed to break the silence " ( Sniff sniff ) Damn Arrie that was so fucking cool. You sound so badass "

Arrie stared at them and chuckled. A warm feeling flooded her heart.

" But I gotta say, I’m really relieved you are fine" Micheal said with a warm expression.

" Yeah. We know Kailen managed to cheer you up but ,we were still worried"

" Thanks guys, you are the best " The lady pulled everyone in for a hug.

Suddenly Kailen’s phone rung.

He picked up the call.

" Man, didn’t know Phila could be so scary " Charles sighed

" Yeah ever since she took the position of wedding planner , she’s been like a tigress. Her whole aura has changed . I literally feel like I’m in hell standing next to her. She’s been too ferocious"

Kailen sighed as he shook his head in fear.

Micheal chuckled ,enjoying their reactions, especially Kailen’s.

If people saw the strongest person in the federation acting all scared now,expceilaly torwards a non awakener they’d be shocked to their core.

As for Arrie , she remembered what had happened to Kailen a few days ago. Phila had not gone easy on her when he almost messed up the wedding cake orders.

She barked at him like he was some elementary school youngster who had been caught peeing on a classroom desk.

She couldn’t help but laugh.

" Don’t worry . Phila is a business woman by nature . She’s a born and raised Ngonzola after all . Her fierce nature is only seen in such situations " Micheal said "After the wedding she will be back to normal. Anyway we have to head back before she skins us alive "

The group nodded . It was time to leave for the wedding .
