Yuno knew that he had succeeded in "unclogging" Mo Hanjin’s Core when he felt the warm and sticky liquid between his nose and upper lip.

Yep, he got a nosebleed.

"Yuno, here."

Leehan handed Yuno a handkerchief, which he accepted with a grateful heart.

"Thank you, Hyung."

"How do you feel, Guide Mo Hanjin-ssi?" Bambi asked while looking down at Mo Hanjin. "Did your ability return?"

"Yes, Team Leader," Mo Hanjin said politely. "I can feel my Mana flowing again."

"That’s a relief," Bambi said, and then he turned to Noh Yuno. "Chief Kim told us to let you go after doing the job here, so you may leave now, Guide Noh Yuno-ssi."

"Thank you, Team Leader," Yuno said, bowing politely towards Bambi and Ryu Sungbin. "I’ll go ahead."

Bambi and Ryu Sungbin only nodded.

Yuno then left the NGB Infirmary with Leehan, only opening his mouth when they were already waiting for the elevator. "Leehan Hyung, if you’re going to laugh, then laugh. Stop faking a cough."

And Leehan really did burst out laughing. "I couldn’t laugh because Esper Ryu Sungbin-ssi was so damn scary."

"What was even funny, Hyung?"

"You."

"Me?"

"You didn’t open your mouth for a year after Noa Hyung-nim rescued us from the Lab," Leehan said after he calmed down from laughing. "Then one day, you spoke to us for the first time. You really gave Noa Hyung-nim a piece of your mind back then."

Ah, right.

Sajangnim did something really stupid back then, so I got mad and lashed out at him.

"I’m really glad that you haven’t changed at all since then, Yuno. You still say whatever you want no matter who your opponent is."

"Well, I can only do and say reckless things because I’m privileged as Sajangnim’s person. And, now, I also gained the privilege of being Esper Ki Gayoon-ssi’s exclusive Guide," Yuno said, pausing for a moment. "I need to at least have this much privilege for our plan to succeed."

"The privilege you have only worked on the government because they don’t want to mess with Noa Hyungnim and Esper Ki Gayoon-ssi. But you know that’s not enough, right?" Leehan asked. "Ultimately, the ones you have to influence are the Guides."

"It’s hard to find the right balance, though. I just want people to stop treating Guides like second-class citizens, but that doesn’t mean I hate all Espers," Yuno said, sighing. "And just because I want to be supportive of Guides, as I am one, doesn’t mean I support their wrongdoings. Hyung, why am I so nosy?"

Yuno just wanted to mind his own business.

But who am I kidding? I can’t ignore it when shitty things happen right in front of me.

"Isn’t it obvious? It’s because you know you can change the world."

Yuno let out a frustrated sigh. "I want to smack the younger me for being so ambitious back then."

"Too late to regret it, bro," Leehan said while chuckling. "You can’t back out now since you’re the center of our plan."

Aigoo.

Well, I made a promise with my fellow E-Class Guides, so I have no intention to back out. But I’m allowed to complain.

Yuno’s thoughts were only interrupted when the elevator arrived.

And when the doors opened...

"Yuno-ssi."

"Hyung!"

Lee Sarang and Kim Jaeha came out of the elevator and greeted Yuno enthusiastically.

Why are they being so friendly with me?

But since Lee Sarang was older and Kim Jaeha was technically higher in ranking than Yuno, he bowed his head politely towards the two.

"Hello."

Lee Sarang and Kim Jaeha were about to greet Yuno back when...

"Esper Lee Sarang-ssi, Guide Kim Jaeha-ssi."

It was Bambi and Ryu Sungbin.

"Esper Lee Sarang-ssi, go and see your Guide," Bambi said sternly. "Guide Kim Jaeha-ssi, follow me. Esper Matthew-ssi told me you refused to guide him, so I need to hear your side of the story."

Yuno was surprised to hear that.

Kim Jaeha refused to guide Esper Matthew-ssi?

"YOONYOON, you’re waiting for Yuyu?"

Ki Gayoon, who was comfortably sitting on one of the lobby’s sofa, raised an eyebrow when Moon Noa sat on the chair across from him. "What else would I be doing here?" he asked, and then he bit on the cinnamon stick. He would munch on one every time he had the urge to smoke. "By the way, Moon Noa."

"Yes, Yoonyoon?"

"How the hell did you raise Noh Yuno?"

Moon Noa tilted his head to one side, acting innocent. "Whatever do you mean by that?"

"Noh Yuno is way too reckless. If his ability is that special, you should have hidden him well. But, instead of doing that, you raised that punk as a rebel. And now he’s acting like he’s invincible."

To be fair, Gayoon knew that Noh Yuno was safe under Moon Noa’s wing.

This sly fox is arguably the richest man in the country, and he has plenty of connections to other countries— connections that he made by inventing Guiding Pills and aphrodisiacs. It won’t be an exaggeration to say that Moon Noa built his empire based on what Guides and Espers need for their intimate Guiding Sessions.

"Well, Yuyu is using his privilege to help others, isn’t he?" Moon Noa asked, still smiling like the sly fox that he was. "I know Yuyu can be really reckless sometimes. But, most of the time, he acts that way for other people."

"You’re using the punk against the government, aren’t you?"

"I don’t know what you’re talking about, Yoonyoon," Moon Noa said, still acting innocent. "I’m just supporting Yuyu’s good cause as his guardian."

Bullshit.

Moon Noa knows Noh Yuno’s true value, so he’s using the punk to mess with the government on purpose.

And Noh Yuno seemed like a willing victim.

Gayoon hated that.

"Why do you look upset, Yoonyoon?"

"If you’re just doing all of this to get Ryu Sungbin back, why don’t you just kill Bambi?" Gayoon asked, glaring at Moon Noa. "You have powerful people at your disposal. Heck, you can even use Japan’s dethroned Crown Prince and start a war with Korea."

"Why are you suddenly bringing up Haruharu?"

’Haruharu’ would be Haru— Japan’s former Crown Prince and Japan’s current #1 Esper.

"Moon Noa, I hope you’re not just doing this for a man," Gayoon said, scoffing. "Is Ryu Sungbin’s dick that good for you to chase him all this time?"

"What?" Moon Noa looked surprised at first, and then he burst out laughing. "Yoonyoon, you can’t ask questions like that so casually!"

"Whatever. Just don’t make Noh Yuno do dangerous things."

"I’m still Noh Yuno’s guardian, am I not?"

"Yes, but I can challenge your authority as Noh Yuno’s Esper," Gayoon said threateningly. "So, don’t piss me off, Moon Noa. Even if Noh Yuno is your willing victim, I won’t stand still if you keep making him do dangerous stuff."

"Ah, I’m scared," Moon Noa said sarcastically, making Gayoon want to rip that annoying grin off the S-Class Guide’s face. "Don’t worry, Yoonyoon— it’s about time for Yuyu to lay low for now anyway."

"WHY DIDN’T you guide Esper Matthew-ssi when he asked you for it?" Bambi, who was sitting behind his desk while facing Kim Jaeha who was sitting on the receiving chair across from him, asked. "Guide Kim Jaeha-ssi, you are Esper Matthew-ssi’s exclusive Guide. Just like what Guide Noh Yuno-ssi said earlier, it’s your responsibility to guide your Esper whether you like it or not. The contract that you signed wasn’t a joke."

Kim Jaeha flinched, but the determination in his eyes didn’t disappear. "I-I refused to guide Esper Matthew-ssi because I’m being a responsible Guide, T-Team Leader."

"Explain."

"Excessive Guiding is bad for Espers. I didn’t entirely refuse to guide Esper Matthew-ssi— I only turned down his invitation for an intimate Guiding Session. But I offered to hold his hand and give him a light guiding. That would have sufficed."

To be honest, Kim Jaeha wasn’t wrong.

Excessive Guiding could break an Esper’s Core, after all.

Having said that...

"Guide Kim Jaeha-ssi, I didn’t bring you to the Bureau to act like a proper Guide to Esper Matthew-ssi, did I?"

Kim Jaeha suddenly turned pale when he was reminded of why he was there.

Good.

He shouldn’t forget.

"Guide Kim Jaeha-ssi, your job is to get Esper Matthew-ssi drunk in your power just like what Guide Mo Hanjin-ssi did to tame Esper Lee Sarang-ssi," Bambi reminded Kim Jaeha coldly. "If you back out now, Esper Ryu Sungbin-ssi will kill your family, your friends, and every single person you’ve interacted with— and that inclues Guide Noh Yuno-ssi."

Kim Jaeha’s pupils shook in fear, and then he immediately lowered his head. "I-I understand, Team Leader..."

"AHJUHYUNG, you’re so freaking petty," Yuno complained while looking at the neck pillow, blanket, and a poop plushie that Ki Gayoon handed to him before he started driving. "You made more merch than I did."

Yes, the neck pillow and the blanket had Yuno’s photo on them— the one where his hair was replaced with a poop emoji via photoshop.

"You mentioned you prefer being a ’passenger princess,’ so I looked up what being a ’passenger princess’ means," Ki Gayoon said, and it was obvious that he was in a good mood. "So, I prepared all those stuff to make you comfortable. Where’s my ’thank you?’"

Tsk.

Was it just Yuno or...
