Ki Gayoon already expected that he wouldn’t be able to get to Noh Yuno easily.

Jin Sooin and Matthew immediately assumed fighting positions.

"Stop," Ryu Sungbin said, stepping forward as if he were protecting Matthew and Jin Sooin from Gayoon. "Ki Gayoon, we’re not here to stop you from seeing Noh Yuno— we’re just here to stop you from taking him away."

Gayoon raised an eyebrow. "What made you think I would kidnap my Guide?"

Ryu Sungbin scoffed. "You’re good at hiding and running away, aren’t you?

Now his fellow natural S-Class Espers looked offended.

Lee Sarang wasn’t a child, yes.

But even adults need to be saved sometimes as well.

"Gayoonie still favors Sarangie even now," Jin Sooin "whispered" to Matthew. "If it was us, he would have just ignored us, too."

Ryu Sungbin frowned after hearing Moon Noa’s name, but it didn’t seem like he doubted what Gayoon said. "Follow me, Ki Gayoon." After saying that, he turned to Matthew and Jin Sooin. "Check on Lee Sarang, then bring her to the Chief’s office if she’s already awake."

"Guide Mo Hanjin-ssi isn’t the only person I used my ability on," Yuno said calmly. "You know that I stopped Esper Lee Sarang-ssi from going on a Rampage, right? I’m pretty sure that not even the Team Leader could do that."

Bambi flinched, and it looked like he was offended because it sounded like Yuno was looking down on him. "I didn’t know E-Class Guides are this competent. Is this why Guide Moon Noa-ssi hid you all this time?"

"Sajangnim didn’t hide me— the government knows he’s using my Mana to create Guiding Pills," Yuno said calmly. "You can lock me up if you think I’m a threat to the Guide community. But I don’t think it’s a good idea to do so."

"You’re making it sound like you’re someone important, Guide Noh Yuno-ssi," Chief Kim Munhee said, letting out a laugh with a hint of mocking in it. "I understand that you’re impressive for taming Esper Ki Gayoon-ssi. And let’s say you can guide Espers on the verge of a Rampage. But so what? You still can’t guide other Espers in a normal situation."

"My ability allows me to guide naturally awakened S-Class Espers."

Now that shut Chief Kim Munhee’s mouth.

Even Bambi looked surprised.

Is Guide Bambi-ssi really this clueless about E-Class Guides?

Anyways...

"I’m willing to take a matching rate test with all the remaining naturally awakened S-Class in our country," Yuno said confidently. "You’ll see if I’m bluffing or not."
