Look at how possessive this grumpy old man sounds.

To be honest, this wasn’t the reaction Yuno was hoping for.

I thought Ahjuhyung would be upset that I photoshopped his photo to make him bald before making merch out of them. But why is he more upset that I refuse to go home?

Come to think of it, Ki Gayoon looked more aggravated than usual.

An Esper who just came out of a dungeon is usually this way.

Yuno was about to grab Ki Gayoon and bring him to the Guiding Room, but then Ahjuhyung suddenly spoke.

That was the sound of stuff falling and breaking on the floor.

Bambi dropped his pen, Rebecca dropped the bottle of nail polish, and Mo Hanjin dropped the game console.

The three looked more shocked than Yuno after hearing Ki Gayoon apologize.

Guides and Espers with lower matching rates were stationed on other floors that looked like a noraebang/karaoke bar. Private spaces with comfortable sofas were provided there, but the walls were thin and not soundproof.

After all, Guides and Espers with low matching rates were only allowed to do basic skinship such as holding hands and hugging. Sometimes, light kissing was allowed. But that was it and that was all they needed anyway.

In the first place, Guides and Espers with more than a 75% matching rate are the minority.

To simply put, a Private Guiding Room that looked like a hotel suite was a privilege.

By "this," Yuno meant cuddling on the large and soft bed— he was the "little spoon," and Ki Gayoon was the "big spoon."

"Yes, this is enough," Ki Gayoon said sleepily, his face buried against Yuno’s neck. "If we do more than this, then I’ll get fully recharged right away. Then you’ll use that as an excuse to run away from me again."

"Excuse me?" Yuno asked, offended. "I didn’t run away from you. Excessive Guiding is just as bad as getting drained of Mana. I’m your Guide, so you should listen to me. I know what’s best for you, Ahjuhyung."

"Stop calling me that."

"Then make me stop being upset. I appreciate your apology, but I’m still waiting for your explanation."

Ki Gayoon fell silent for a moment, and then he sighed before spilling the beans. "You said you’ll return to your house as soon as it’s fixed."

"Naturally..." Yuno said, and then he trailed off when the realization hit him. "Wait. You destroyed my perfectly renovated house because you didn’t want me to leave your house?"

"Yeah, congrats on finally figuring it out."

"Do you think you have the right to be sarcastic right now, huh?"

Yuno tried to wriggle out of Ki Gayoon’s embrace, but the grumpy old man just tightened his arms around Yuno’s body.

Tsk.

"Don’t leave and just stay at my house, Noh Yuno," Ki Gayoon said, his voice softer than usual. "My house is safer than yours anyway."

"Why do you want me to stay at your house?"

Yuno wouldn’t admit it out loud, but his heart kind of "acted up" and beat as if there was no tomorrow while anticipating Ki Gayoon’s response.

But if it’s cringe, I’ll tease the hell out of Ahjuhyung—

"You’re like an infinite power bank, so why would I want you gone?"

Aigoo.

Typical Esper mindset.

But, at least, Ki Gayoon saw Yuno as a "power bank" and not a "sex toy."

Oh, god.

The bar is in hell for Espers.

"Is that really the only reason why you want me to stay at your house even though I have my own house?"

"That’s the sly fox’s house and not yours," Ki Gayoon argued. "I don’t want my Guide living in a house that belongs to another man."

"Sajangnim is a Guide, though."

"So what? That sly fox still has a dick."

Weird.

Yuno was aware that it was natural for Espers to be possessive of their Guides.

As a result, it wasn’t strange if an Esper began fighting another Esper out of jealousy. But that jealousy wasn’t because of love— it was just plain possessiveness.

Something along the lines of "I don’t like people touching my stuff" thing.

Is Gayoon Hyung’s possessiveness on a different level because he’s an S-Class Esper who got an exclusive Guide for the first time? That’s why he even gets jealous of a Guide?

That should annoy Yuno.

So, why do I find it cute?

"It’s weird that an Esper gets jealous of a Guide," Yuno said lightheartedly. "Sajangnim will tease the hell out of you if he finds out you’re jealous of him, Hyung."

"You’re finally calling me normally again."

"Well, it’s funny that you’re jealous of my boss. I know it’s normal for Espers to get possessive of their Guides, but you’re still being ridiculous."

"Whatever," Ki Gayoon grumbled, nuzzling his face against Yuno’s shoulder. "I’m going to sleep, so shut it for now."

Yuno just sighed.

Hyung is just sleeping, but he’s already close to absorbing my life force. If I’m not careful, I’ll end up fainting at this rate.

Maybe S-Class Espers were really built different.

Yuno closed his eyes while regulating the flow of his Mana.

Hyung worked hard in raiding the dungeon, huh?
