"W-WHAT did you say?"

"I said don’t touch me without my permission," Yuno said bluntly, swatting away the woman’s hand. "If you do this again, I’ll call HR and report you for sexual assault. I’m only letting it slide now because we’re both Guides, and I have a soft spot for our class."

The young woman looked even more shocked now. "Why would you report me for sexual assault when I just touched you?"

"You touched me without consent," Yuno said firmly. "If you don’t know how consent works, I’ll teach you. Consent is—"

"Guide Noh Yuno-ssi, why are you wiping the floor with your behind?"

Why am I the one getting scolded?

Yuno raised his head and saw Bambi looking down at him with a disapproving look on his pretty face.

Team Leader Bambi-ssi has an angelic face, but he’s so strict and scary.

Yuno wasn’t surprised, though.

The Guides from the Lab had an acting class before where they were taught how to either act innocent or seductive.

I’m not saying Eun Rina is an E-Class Guide in disguise, but the possibility isn’t zero.

"I apologize, Bambi-ssi," Yang Youngjae said in an indifferent yet polite tone. "I ranted to Rina-ya recently, and I made a slip of the tongue. Although it was irrational, I blamed Yuno-ssi for Choi Kangmin’s death. So, Rina-ya made a mistake and lashed out at Yuno-ssi."

Bullshit.

Yuno thought that Yang Youngjae was speaking nonsense.

If Esper Yang Youngjae-ssi is really blaming me for Guide Choi Kangmin-ssi’s death, then it only means he already knows about the serial killer’s message that was caught on camera.

Which was strange because only the Top 5 Espers and Guides had seen the video.

Unless the serial killer said something about killing the wrong target to Esper Yang Youngjae-ssi, of course.

But Esper Yang Youngjae-ssi didn’t say anything like that during the investigation.

"Is that so? Then be careful next time," Bambi said. It was hard to read the blank look on the Team Leader’s face, but it was obvious that he was trying to appear neutral. "The only person we should blame for Guide Choi Kangmin-ssi’s death is the serial killer."

Yuno was surprised that Bambi didn’t side with Yang Youngjae and Eun Rina.

Why is the Team Leader protecting me?

"And you should apologize to Guide Noh Yuno-ssi."

Eun Rina raised her head, and there was a shocked look on her face.

Even Yang Youngjae— who seemed off— looked like he regained his consciousness and stared at Yuno in disbelief.

On the other hand, Bambi and Ryu Sungbin just looked like they were already used (and tired) of Yuno’s bluntness.

"Be careful next time, Guide Eun Rina-ssi," Yuno added awkwardly before avoiding everyone’s gaze. "Remember, HR is just one call away."

Yuno put his hands behind his back and lowered his head while getting scolded by Bambi.

Earlier, Bambi asked Ryu Sungbin to escort Yang Youngjae and Eun Rina to Chief Kim Munhee’s office.

Apparently, the two were summoned by the chief.

Anyways, after that, Bambi asked Yuno to follow him to his workstation.

And that was when the Team Leader began scolding me.

Since they were back in their office, his fellow Guides could see and hear everything.

Fortunately, Mo Hanjin, Kim Jaeha, and Rebecca were all pretending to be busy working on their computers.

Or maybe they’re really busy with work.

"Guide Moon Noa-ssi already informed me that Esper Yang Youngjae-ssi’s new Guide is suspicious," Bambi said, leaning against his chair while crossing his arms over his chest. "I’m sure you already know that, though."

"Yes, sir."

"And yet you still provoked Guide Eun Rina-ssi," Bambi said, sighing. "So, what did she say that made you upset?"

"Guide Eun Rina-ssi tried to control my mind, sir."

Bambi looked like he was too stunned to react.

The sound of fingers furiously typing on the keyboards also stopped at the same time.

Ah, my fellow Guides are done pretending they aren’t listening to the conversation.

"Guide Eun Rina-ssi tried to control your mind?" Bambi asked as if he wanted to make sure that he heard it right. "Guide Moon Noa-ssi and me are both S-Class Guides, and we don’t have that kind of ability."

"I haven’t met a Guide with mind control ability either, sir," Yuno said, subtly letting Bambi know that he hadn’t encountered an E-Class Guide who had that kind of ability in the past. "But I’m sure about the sensation I felt earlier. Guide Eun Rina-ssi tried to inject her Mana straight into my brain, sir. She did so while whispering bullshit in my ear."

"The serial killer that Esper Yang Youngjae-ssi encountered was a man, but that doesn’t mean the serial killer is only one person," Bambi said, sighing while pinching his nose. "Anyway, you were immune against Guide Eun Rina-ssi’s mind control ability. Is the technique you’re teaching us capable of protecting us from mind-controlling, too?"

"I’m not sure, sir. The Lab told me before that I was good at deflecting mental attacks, so that’s probably why I wasn’t affected."

"If you were able to deflect the new Guide’s mind control ability, why didn’t you just pretend to be controlled?"

"I was pissed, sir."

"Excuse me?"

"Why would a Guide harm his fellow Guides as if we weren’t oppressed enough? I hated it, so I wanted to put Guide Eun Rina-ssi in her place," Yuno said, pausing for a moment. "That and because I wanted her to focus on me, just in case she’s related to the serial killer."

"So, you wanted to play bait," Bambi said indifferently, looking at Yuno with cold eyes. "Guide Noh Yuno-ssi, do you want Esper Ki Gayoon-ssi to go crazy?"

KI GAYOON massaged his temples when a splitting headache suddenly hit him out of nowhere.

Is this migraine or something?

"Are you alright, Yoonyoon?"

Gayoon glared at Moon Noa, and then he pointed at the yellow suits on the rack. "Are you seriously planning to make Noh Yuno wear a yellow suit?"

He had no choice but to meet Moon Noa at the men’s boutique where the bastard was choosing a suit for Noh Yuno.

Of course, the entire boutique was closed for Moon Noa.

The staff members were quiet in the corner.

"What’s wrong with yellow suits?" Moon Noa complained, and then he picked up a yellow checkered suit from the rack. "I think this will look really good on Yuyu—"

Gayoon snapped his fingers, and then the yellow checkered suit was sent flying— straight to the floor. "I don’t have anything against yellow, but why would I allow you to match with my Guide, huh?"

After all, Moon Noa was known for only wearing yellow suits (in different shades).

"Yoonyoon, our Yuyu doesn’t like possessive men."

"Too bad— he has to learn how to like someone like me from now on."

The sly fox gasped exaggeratedly. "Yoonyoon, you’ll die."

"What?"

"The curse that Yuyu mentioned to you," Moon Noa said, suddenly speaking in a serious tone. "It’s true."

Gayoon knitted his eyebrows. "So, I’ll die if I confess my love to Noh Yuno?"

Not that I’m in love with that punk, of course.
