Global Lords: Hundredfold Increments Starting With the Undead -
Chapter 1445 - 1015, Overlapping Space
The golden rays were like laser beams straight out of a sci-fi movie.
They swept across the surroundings relentlessly.
Time and again, they sliced apart the attacking trolls into scattered pieces.
Just two individuals managed to hold off the troll assault.
From a distance, the transmigrators and their soldiers watched the unfolding scene in sheer horror.
Never had they imagined anyone could demonstrate such absurd combat power.
One person single-handedly stopping hundreds and thousands of trolls.
Seeing the opposing side exhibit overwhelming strength, the remaining trolls began to hesitate and stopped charging blindly.
Bit by bit, they retreated back into the faraway dense forest.
Then they turned and ran.
One running was followed by another, then a third.
In the blink of an eye, they fled completely, leaving behind only those heavily injured trolls who wailed miserably as they struggled to crawl away.
Fang Hao and the Dragon Queen emerged from the mountains of corpses.
They then walked straight toward the ruins ahead.
In the distance, the rescued transmigrator began organizing personnel to treat the wounded, while bringing along two bodyguards and hurriedly approaching the duo.
Still uncertain of their intentions, he remained cautious in how he handled them.
Lest he end up like those trolls—reduced to shattered pieces strewn on the ground.
Quickening his steps, he came before them and said, "Thank you, sir, and esteemed lady, for saving us. We won't take a single war trophy. After we return, we'll prepare a proper reward."
The words came out in one breath.
But upon seeing the Dragon Queen's rank, he nearly choked, coughing violently twice.
What kind of rank is this?
How did it reach Upper Deity level?
Fang Hao glanced at him, then at the Giantstone Ruins behind them.
"Are you with the Divine Power Alliance?"
"Yes, yes! And you are…?"
Fang Hao didn't answer but continued asking, "Have you discovered anything here?"
At that, the other party immediately understood why Fang Hao and the Dragon Queen had come.
Clearly, they were also here for the mission.
Not to mention, these two had just saved them. With such immense strength, even if he wanted to hide something, he couldn't.
His mind raced, then he softly replied, "The Alliance Hierarch entered the ruins two days ago and has yet to come out. Though their portrait icons are still lit, there's been no response."
Entered?
It seemed like the Giantstone Ruins were not just about subduing the trolls but were connected to another place entirely.
Fang Hao continued asking, "Any intel on what's inside?"
The transmigrator replied, "I only know that inside lies a special space, something akin to the Human Clan's 'Sanctuary Paradise' or similar locations. Beyond that, I'm unclear."
Sanctuary Paradise...
It wasn't an Underground Dungeon but rather an overlapping dimension.
Fang Hao did know a bit about Sanctuary Paradises, as Rebecca had once inherited power from one, ascending from an ordinary individual to an orange-tier hero.
It seemed somewhat reminiscent of the cultivator cave abodes mentioned in cultivation novels he had read in the past.
A place teeming with opportunities.
"How many people did you send in?"
"More than ten thousand. None have come out yet." The transmigrator's face showed concern.
As multiple transmigrators rose to prominence and conflicts unfolded in the Troll regions, the Divine Power Alliance viewed this mission as their chance to turn the tides.
They mobilized almost half of the Alliance's forces, but judging by the current situation, it was obviously not going well.
The people inside were likely facing grim fates.
After asking a series of questions, Fang Hao gained a general understanding of the situation.
Mapping the location against information from the Book of Lords confirmed that the recorded position on the map matched this overlapping space.
Though it was unclear how the Divine Power Alliance had uncovered this clue.
It also proved one thing—the task location marked by the system actually existed in the world, rather than being fabricated by the system itself.
Fang Hao lightly patted his shoulder and said, "Understood. Those trolls will likely return. Rest up briefly, then evacuate your people from here. Staying won't accomplish anything."
The transmigrator nodded.
If the trolls returned, escaping wouldn't even be an option for them.
"Alright, we'll leave immediately. If you encounter any of our Alliance members inside, we'd greatly appreciate your assistance in rescuing them."
"Mm." Fang Hao nodded, then continued heading deeper into the Giantstone Ruins with the Dragon Queen.
The transmigrator also began organizing his soldiers, collecting scattered belongings nearby.
He carried the wounded and prepared to leave.
This was certainly no safe place, and the sooner they left, the better.
Fang Hao led the Dragon Queen directly into the heart of the Giantstone Ruins.
Following the directions the transmigrator had pointed out earlier, they traversed a narrow stone corridor.
As they passed through the middle of the corridor...
Their figures disappeared into a ripple.
...
In a blink, the two of them entered the overlapping space.
The sky was dark, thick clouds churned and spiraled like cotton fluff.
It was as if a massive hole had torn through the sky, drawing the dense clouds endlessly into its maw.
Fang Hao glanced up at the bleak weather and sighed, "We just managed to get out of the rain, and here we are again with this damned weather."
The scene before him was far more intense than a mere rainy day.
The air carried an oppressive chill and an evil aura.
It reminded him of the bone-piercing darkness he had felt the first time he entered the Viscera Museum back when he was still a mortal.
"What's wrong? Came all this way only to find this place unsatisfactory?" The Dragon Queen removed her sunhat.
Her golden hair and gleaming dragon horns were revealed.
"It's certainly not ideal for a date."
The Dragon Queen snorted coldly, "Next time, we'll make up for it."
"Deal!"
Surveying the surroundings again, they saw flat ground and, in the distance, some skeletal, leafless trees.
Overall, the space took on an abandoned appearance somewhat similar to the Giantstone Ruins outside.
The soft soil bore signs of densely packed footprints.
Presumably left by members of the Divine Power Alliance.
"Where to next?" The Dragon Queen scanned their surroundings and asked again.
Fang Hao opened the Book of Lords and examined the map.
The initial map now included a newly displayed layout of the overlapping space.
In essence, the system's awarded map contained guidance for both the main dimension and the overlapping dimension.
With the marker in hand, locating their target became straightforward.
"Let's follow the map." Fang Hao opened the Gate of the Worlds and summoned two hundred Mythical Troops, the 'Ancient Skeleton Generals,' as well as fifty 'Nisbits.'
The forces congregated and advanced onward.
The arrival of the Nisbits brought an air of solemnity to the Dragon Queen.
When Fang Hao tried holding her hand, she brushed him off and even kicked him on the rear.
Left with no choice, he obediently pressed forward.
No scouts were deployed as they followed the map directly.
Along the route, footprints continued to mark the path.
At the very least, it confirmed that the path traversed by these people was safe.
Despite their relatively small troop size, they maintained a swift marching pace.
After covering roughly a kilometer, human corpses and fallen equipment began appearing ahead.
Signs of an intense battle were evident.
Yet oddly enough, only human bodies and weapons remained—not a trace of their enemies' corpses or tracks.
"No enemies present?" The Dragon Queen noticed the anomaly and asked curiously.
"Indeed, no traces of enemies."
"With only about a thousand human corpses here, there may still be survivors."
Fang Hao nodded, "Let's go. Whether or not survivors remain isn't our concern. Our target is the treasure at the center of the map."
"Understood."
The unit resumed their swift march.
Along the way, corpses and abandoned equipment littered the area.
The scene resembled a deadly survival game, with humans fleeing deeper into danger rather than escaping outward.
After roughly twenty more minutes of walking...
The scenery changed entirely.
A thousand meters ahead lay a densely packed stone forest, columns arranged according to certain patterns.
Among the stone columns stood humanoid stone sculptures of various shapes, scattered throughout the forest.
Thanks to their Upper Deity attributes, both Fang Hao and the Dragon Queen could see clearly.
The sculptures had bodies of stone but retained human heads.
Their expressions were filled with terror and unease, bloodshot eyes betraying their panic.
"These must be the transmigrators who entered earlier. No wonder the person outside couldn't reach them—they've turned entirely into stone," the Dragon Queen remarked.
"Still curious. How could so many people all end up petrified?"
"Let's check it out."
"Alright, but stay alert. If things turn south, we'll retreat immediately."
With a gesture, Fang Hao's troops tightened formation and advanced cautiously.
Meanwhile, the petrified transmigrators within the stone forest stirred upon hearing the approaching footsteps.
Trying hard to look toward the source of the sound.
But what they saw only sank their hearts further.
A group of towering skeletal trolls, each bearing four arms, marched in their direction.
Though they had no idea why trolls transformed into skeletons were here...
In their current petrified states—immobile and helpless—they could only await their end.
As the footsteps grew closer, an oppressive aura of undead and powerful troops engulfed the area.
The transmigrators felt as though boulders were crushing their chests, suffocating them.
"Damn this cursed place! Had I known, I wouldn't have entered."
"Didn't die to those monsters, but now I'm going to get slaughtered by undead instead."
"I just bought a troll maid—it hurts me to die without taking her for a spin."
"Huh? Trolls can serve as maids?"
Frustration and fear filled their voices as they grumbled incessantly.
Suddenly, the advancing skeleton troops halted.
And a clear, crisp voice rang out.
"Clap, clap~!"
"Cough, cough! Apologies for interrupting your lively discussion, but might I ask—what form of performance art is this?"
The flurry of chaotic voices ceased abruptly.
Everyone turned toward the speaker.
They saw the skeleton troops stopping just outside the stone forest.
A human man and woman stood at the forefront, gazing curiously at them.
No, the woman had golden horns atop her head—clearly not from the Human Clan, but either from the Orc Clan or the Dragon Clan of Mount Dragon Peak.
Though they were too far away to identify them by name, the man surely was a transmigrator.
Black-haired and black-eyed, with the Book of Lords hanging from his waist.
"Mighty ones, please, rescue us!"
After a brief silence, sharp cries of desperation erupted one after another.
