Chapter 964 - Chapter 964 999 Blue Star period of calm_2
Chapter 964: 999, Blue Star period of calm_2 Chapter 964: 999, Blue Star period of calm_2 The recovery of these two Spring Eyes went very smoothly, but it also involved major battles.
In these two battles, Blue Star lost 525 Fifth Rank mercenaries and 35 Fifth Rank players, while three of Sixth Order and two ancient cultivators unfortunately fell in the conflict.
The Skrull people also paid a heavy price; during the two battles, they lost 81 Fifth Rank cultivators and four of Sixth Order, along with one Seventh Order being severely injured.
Both sides gradually lost their restraint in the friction of war, slowly starting to disregard death.
There was also a significant shift in the public opinion within Blue Star.
Before Su Yu returned from Skru Star, there was a large number of surrender advocates on Blue Star, roughly accounting for one-fifth of the population. Day and night, they clamored for “escape”, always planning to “flee” to Skru Star for a better life.
However, once the news that “planetary mining worker” was a deadly occupation was exposed, the surrender advocates realized that even if they went to Skru Star, the Skrull people would not treat them as equals. Calls for surrender on the internet became increasingly rare.
It wasn’t until a large number of players and cultivators died in the war that everyone realized war truly lead to death. If those of Fifth and Sixth Order could not guarantee their own survival, what about ordinary people?
In such an atmosphere, no one dared to shout for surrender, and everyone tried their best to level up in the game in order to survive.
…
On March 10th, Blue Star High-Ranking cultivators and players once again assembled to strike at Japan’s Mount Fuji Spring Eye.
Of course, this strike was merely a probe, and not intended to actually take down the Spring Eye.
If they really took it down, wouldn’t their subsequent plans fall apart completely?
This attack was partly a probe and partly meant to obscure Blue Star’s true intentions.
P.S.: I apologize, but I really have no ideas today and don’t know how to continue writing; I only managed 2,000 words. If you see this line, please refresh the page tomorrow morning, and I will definitely have the full chapter completed.
In the following ten or so days, Blue Star again entered a period of calm.
Chairman Hu Jing, Commissioner Zhang, and the others, after a night of discussion, finally settled on a rough strategy for the decisive battle.
Their strategy was to seize all the Spiritual Spring Eyes except for the one at Mount Fuji and then set up three lines of defense around it.
The first line of defense would be placed around Mount Fuji;
They planned to use Su Yu’s credits to exchange for more than a dozen “High-Ranking Defense Runes” and, based on these, construct a robust barrier around the mountain.
This barrier would withstand the first few waves of the Skrull assault, serving as the first line of defense.
The second line of defense would be situated around the maritime perimeter of Japan;
They decided to use the “Tarxin Defense Network” to create a defense network that enveloped the entire Japanese archipelago, relying on it to halt the Skrull advance.
The third line of defense would be established along the East Sea coastline of Goryeo, China, and Rakshasa, focusing on constructing firm defensive strongholds.
If the Skrull people broke through the first line, then the Blue Star Humans would hold the second line; should the Skrull people breach the second line, the Blue Star People would hold the third line; if… afterward, there would be no more ‘ifs’.
In reality, should the Skrull people break through the second line of defense, it could mean that Blue Star Humans were on the verge of losing the war.
After all, if the “Tarxin Defense Network” was penetrated, Skrull aircraft could quickly traverse the globe. They certainly wouldn’t go head-to-head with the third line of Blue Star defenders; they could just step back and cross the Pacific Ocean to conquer the entire American continent.
Thus, after this plan was formulated, Chairman Hu Jing and the other senior leaders immediately realized that the “Tarxin Defense Network” was likely to be the focal point in the final battle between the civilizations of Blue Star and Skru Star.
Another crucial point was that both the “Tarxin Defense Network” and the “High-Ranking Defense Runes” required using Su Yu’s credits to obtain.
Therefore, they gave extra attention to the use of Su Yu’s credits.
Currently, Su Yu has a total of 36,000 credits.
If he participated in the capture of 17 giant Spring Eyes, his credits could potentially reach 70,000.
These 70,000 credits had to be spent effectively.
An exchange for the “Tarxin Defense Network”, worth over 10,000 credits, was necessary, and several “High-Ranking Defense Runes” needed to be acquired.
Besides that, the materials required for the transoceanic transportation circle, which Su Yu mentioned, had to be exchanged, as well as some other large weapons.
So, despite the substantial seeming 70,000 credits, in the face of the robust demand of the Blue Star People, it really wasn’t much and had to be used wisely.
…
After the battle plan was freshly made, the Blue Star Humans immediately began to take action.
At this stage, they could not yet exchange for the “High-Ranking Defense Runes” and the “Tarxin Defense Network”, otherwise if they started setting up in Japan now, the Skrull people would immediately understand their plan, provided they weren’t fools.
Additionally, constructing these defenses would be quick, so there was no hurry to set them up until the Skrull people were left with only one Spring Eye.
For now, what the Blue Star Humans could do was to actively attack the giant Spring Eyes.
That evening, on March 1st, Blue Star High-Ranking cultivators and players, along with more than a thousand Fifth Rank mercenaries, marched mightily towards the Spring Eye at the South Pole.
The South Pole Spring Eye is currently acknowledged as the easiest to conquer.
In this Spring Eye attack, Blue Star did not deploy all its God Level forces.
Among the five God Level beings of Blue Star, only Emperor Qin Shi Huang, Su Yu, and Cat Morning Star made it to the scene.
