In the following ten days or so, Blue Star once again entered a period of tranquility.

Chairman Hu Jing, Commissioner Zhang, and others, after a night of discussion, finally determined the general idea for the decisive battle.

Their idea was–to take control of all the Spiritual Spring Eyes except for the one at Mount Fuji, and then lay out three defenses around the Mount Fuji Spring Eye.

The first defense would be set up around Mount Fuji;

They planned to exchange Su Yu’s credits for a dozen or so “High-Ranking Defense Runes” and use these as a foundation to build a solid barrier around the mountain.

This barrier would hold against the Skru’s initial assaults, serving as the first line of defense,

The second defense would be situated around the waters of Japan;

They decided to use the “Tarxin Defense Network” to construct a defensive grid that would envelop Japan’s four main islands, relying on this network to halt the Skrull advance.

The third defense network would be established along the East Sea coastlines of Goryeo, China, and Rakshasa, focusing on creating strong defensive positions.

If the Skrull breached the first line, the Blue Star Humans would hold the second, if the Skrull broke through the second, the Blue Star Humans would hold the third, and if… after that there were no more “ifs.”

In fact, the Skrull breaching the second line of defense could potentially signify the Blue Star Humans’ impending loss in the war.

After all, once the Tarxin Defense Network was compromised, Skrull aircraft could quickly spread across the globe. They surely wouldn’t engage the third line of defense head-on; retreating a step would allow them to cross the Pacific Ocean and take over the entire American continent.

So, after the plan was laid out, Chairman Hu Jing and the upper echelons immediately realized that the Tarxin Defense Network would likely be the focal point of the ultimate battle between the two great civilizations of Blue Star and Skru Star.

Another crucial point was that both the “Tarxin Defense Network” and “High-Ranking Defense Runes” could only be acquired by exchanging Su Yu’s credits.

Therefore, they placed even greater importance on the use of Su Yu’s credits.

At the moment, Su Yu had a total of 36,000 credits.

If he took part in conquering the 17 giant Spring Eyes, his final credits should reach 70,000.

These 70,000 credits had to be spent wisely.

Valuable “Tarxin Defense Network” worth over 10,000 credits needed to be redeemed, and so did a dozen “High-Ranking Defense Runes.”

Additionally, the materials required for the transoceanic teleportation matrix Su Yu mentioned had to be redeemed, along with other large-scale weapons.

So, although 70,000 credits might seem plentiful, it wasn’t much given the robust demand of the Blue Star People and had to be used carefully and precisely.

Immediately after the battle plan was freshly devised, the Blue Star Humans sprang into action.

At this phase, they couldn’t yet redeem “High-Ranking Defense Runes” and “Tarxin Defense Network,” or else the Skrull would comprehend their plan straightaway if they began deploying in Japan now.

Moreover, setting up these defenses was quick, so there was no rush to construct them until the Skrull were down to their last Spring Eye.

For now, the best course of action for Blue Star People was to take the initiative and assault the giant Spring Eyes.

On the same night, March 1st, Blue Star High Order Cultivators and players, accompanied by over a thousand Fifth Rank mercenaries, moved in a might force towards the Spring Eye at the South Pole.

The Spring Eye at the South Pole was universally considered the easiest to conquer.

Not all of Blue Star’s God-Level forces were dispatched for this attack on the Spring Eye.

Of the five God-Level beings of Blue Star, only Emperor Qin Shi Huang, Su Yu, and Cat Morning Star made it to the scene.

Besides them, they also brought 30 Seventh Order, 326 Sixth Order, and 1000 mercenaries purchased from “Element Camp.”

They didn’t deploy their strongest lineup directly because the Blue Star Humans were intent on using this battle to deplete some of the Skrull forces.

If the Skrull defenders saw the Blue Star Humans and simply fled, keeping their strength intact, it would only make the future decisive battle even more difficult.

The Blue Star Humans wanted to match the Skrull forces and wage a war of attrition, avoiding any hasty retreat on their part.

The Skrull defenders also noticed the overt strategy of the Blue Star Humans, realizing that the Blue Star People had sent such a small force, they too entertained the idea of fighting an attrition war against the Blue Star Humans.

The intentions of both sides matched perfectly, leading to a fierce battle of attrition surrounding the Spring Eye at the South Pole.

The conflict lasted a full six hours.

After six hours, the Blue Star Humans successfully penetrated the protective shield and entered the base.

The remaining high-ranking Skrull, just like the defenders at the other Spring Eyes before, escaped through the Space Cracks.

In this battle, Blue Star lost 132 Fifth Rank mercenaries and seven high-ranking players who were commanding the mercenaries; no ancient Cultivators perished, though two were seriously injured.

Because of the protective shield, the Skrull suffered slightly less damage than Blue Star.

Still, they lost three Sixth Order cultivators and 18 Fifth Rank ones.

Given that most of Blue Star’s losses were mercenaries exchanged for gold, it could be said that the outcome was a draw.

After the Spring Eye at the South Pole was recovered, the Blue Star Humans didn’t stop.

On March 4, Blue Star Cultivators and players besieged the Spring Eye near the capital of Australia, at Mount Koshiasco;

On March 7, Blue Star’s high-order beings recovered the Spring Eye at Cook Mountain located in the South Island of New Zealand.
