Getting a Sugar Mommy in Cultivation World!!
Chapter 694 - 694: Treasured Orb

"You did not think you were the special one in the plan, did you?" Yin Qi seemed to be taking full advantage of Anid's situation.

"Gong Ho here wanted to be a cultivator all of his life, but the city lord never got him the technique he needed to achieve that." The woman sat down on the couch in the room and picked up a glass of wine from the table and twirled it in her hand. "It is surprising how easily you can buy someone's loyalty."

"I offered him a cultivation technique, and he was more than willing to join me."

Andis looked at Gong Ho suspiciously, knowing how loyal he had been to the city lord, but seeing him stand there with his head down, listening to whatever Yin Qi spoke without refuting, made her doubt reality itself.

"Now, enough chattering." Yin Qi finished the wine and changed her tone abruptly. "You remember the offer I gave you the last time you were here."

"I have made good use of the technique you gave me." Andis closed her eyes and revealed her aura at the first level of the qi gathering realm.

Yin Qi hummed with narrowed eyes before a sweet smile surfaced on her lips, "I will help you get rid of the city lord, and you will take his position and govern the whole city…"

She let her word linger in the air, and Andis seemed to have picked up on the clue and continued, "And I will give you the thing you have been after from the treasury."

Her reply made the smile on Yin Qi's face widen.

"I am glad we are on the same page. Shall we get going?" She clasped her hands and spoke sweetly and walked out of the room with her two followers.

Their next destination was naturally the city lord's mansion!

Inside the main hall, Xu Shang was doing his usual work, handing out the documentations on the different proposals and tasks in the city. He carefully read each one of the papers before stamping them with his seal and moved on to the next one.

Just as he was about to pick up the next paper, his hand paused. His eyebrows furrowed, and raising his head, he looked around to see a faint pink mist lingering in the air.

Before he could think of anything, the front door opened slowly, and Andis walked in with measured steps.

"What is the meaning of this, Andis?" Xu Sheng slowly placed the brush back in the ink plate and straightened his back.

"Do you recall what I told you when you asked me what I want in life?" Andis replied with a question of her own; she stopped once she was standing right before him, across the table, and continued on without waiting for a response, "I am here to take more power."

Splash!

Xu Shang lowered his head and saw a sword coming out of his chest.

"Long time no see, City Lord." Yin Qi stepped out of the shadows, smiling evilly with a hand touching the edge of his lips.

Xu Shang spat a mouthful of blood on the documents before him before slowly turning towards the woman. His eyes widened slightly when he saw Gong Ho standing behind her.

But it only lasted for a fraction of a second and returned to normal.

Yin Qi's eyes twitched seeing him ignore her. With a scoff, she waved the other hand, and the sword in Xu Shang's body twisted before completely passing through him.

Thud!

Once the life slipped out of him, Xu Sheng's lifeless body fell on the ground, his arms sprawled, blood trickling down his cheeks.

She did not stop there and flicked her wrist and sent a small ball of fire towards his body; the flames engulfed him and burned till not even his ashes were left behind.

"Take us to the treasury." Yin Qi turned to look at Gong Ho, and he bowed before leading the group out of the room. After a few turns, he entered deeper into the mansion.

He took a token out of his robes and placed it on the wall at the end of the hall. The wall turned illusionary, and three of them stepped through.

"This is…" Andis looked around the room in shock; the white room had shelves upon shelves filled with several treasures she had not even read about ever.

Yin Qi ignored her gasp and walked past Gong Ho.

The treasures in the room were arranged based on their rarity. Higher-ranked ones were placed in a box on a luxurious-looking cushion. But she did not choose any one of them. Instead, she walked towards the array of lower-ranked treasures arranged in a line like the other treasures on a shelf.

Among other treasures like swords, shields, and arrows, there was a single golden orb placed in a jewelry box.

The orb looked ordinary, nothing out of the ordinary, but it was what attracted Yin Qi's attention. She closed the box and threw it in her storage pouch before walking around the room.

Selecting a few herbs and pills, she turned her attention back towards Andis. "Our deal here is done; you can do whatever you want with the city, and we will never contact each other again."

Andis nodded impassively and bowed a little.

Gong Ho left the mansion with Yin Qi. Once outside, she lent him one of her flying swords to stand on and flashed through the air.

Yin Qi flew leisurely over the forests they fought the beast tide in. She took out the treasure bead she had picked from the treasury and started examining it carefully.

"Looks like a great treasure."

Yin Qi nodded with pride hearing the compliment on it, "Of course, this is the key to changing my destiny and—"

Her voice quivered at the end as she suddenly realized that Gong Ho's voice was not this youthful.

Her eyes widened in panic; she tried to store the treasure away once more, but the orb in her hands was gone, leaving a phantom of purple butterflies.
