Chapter 83: End Of Traitor Niara

Chapter 83: End Of Traitor Niara

Apollo, during the first explosion, noticed her peculiarity, as he saw flickering light just before the impact.

So, he has his doubts, plus his experience and knowledge of reading numerous novels where such characters were like maggots and didn’t easily die.

And as he expected, she did survive as a weak second-rank limit-breaker.

He had to say that in every world, bit*hes like this somehow survive most of the time and don’t receive punishment for their crimes.

Even the fantasy world cannot change the sh*tty situation of these advantage-taking sluts.

"Bit*h, you are alive!"

Ragnar and others were shocked to see us alive and well. They didn’t know what method she used, but she was able to fool their senses.

If it weren’t for Apollo, wouldn’t she have survived? Ragnar couldn’t help but feel glad that Apollo noticed her.

Niara, on the other hand, had an ugly face, as she was just a step away from being able to survive and leave. However, her plans were thwarted when the observant young boy unexpectedly intervened, shattering all her hopes.

She was full of hate and anger, and her eyes were full of fierce killing intent. If eyes could kill, she would have killed Apollo a thousand times.

Apollo had noticed the eyes full of killing intent, but he didn’t care; she was a parasite that could be annihilated easily without her host to protect.

"Now that your support has fled, tell me, how do you plan to die?"

Ragnar couldn’t help but smile as he observed Bit*h Niara, who had previously been as proud as a peacock but was now left helpless on the ground, devoid of any help or support.

"Ragnar, I didn’t want to betray you, but he forced me. You know how strong he was; I was helpless."

"You know I’m not like that. Why would I betray you?"

Knowing that she wouldn’t survive if she did nothing, she attempted to play the sympathy card on Ragnar, who had previously harboured feelings for her. She recognised him as her only lifeline, her sole chance of survival.

Apollo and the others couldn’t help but feel surprised by her performance; her entire expression and persona underwent a dramatic transformation. Suddenly, she portrayed herself as a helpless girl, once pure but now tragically tainted.

She would have won an Oscar for her performance, but at this moment it has become meaningless, as no matter what, only a mindless, inhumane, idiotic simp will believe her lies.

Nevertheless, he glanced at Ragnar’s face to gauge his thoughts, recognising the potential black magic her words held.

But Apollo sighed in relief. It seems he was thinking much as his face remained cold, devoid of any emotion, and words were nothing to him.

Niara also sees this, and her face becomes uglier as it seems her acting isn’t going to work.

Silently, she retrieved an amulet and prepared to activate it, but before she could, a wind blade materialised, knocking her back several meters. She survived, thanks to the protective barrier.

"How could you...?"

As she was about to say something, one wind blade after another knocked her around like a ragdoll. Yet she survived each onslaught; the necklace’s barrier kept protecting her at the last moment.

But slowly, multiple cracks began to appear on the necklace and its barrier, unable to withstand the relentless barrage of attacks.

Bang! Bang! Bang!...

Crack! Crack! Crack!

Boom! Finally, the necklace shattered along with its barrier, leaving her defenceless.

She could only watch in horror as Ragnar ceased his attacks and approached her with cold, emotionless eyes.

"No, don’t do this; I am your Niara!"

"No, don’t come closer..."

She screamed and attempted to move his body, but her feet felt cold and unresponsive, refusing to budge.

Swish! Splash!

Suddenly, a wind blade came and swiftly cut her hand. It happened so fast that she couldn’t process it for a second.

"Aaahhh! Aaahhh!"

She screamed and cried in agony, feeling the sharp pain of her hand being severed. Despite her desire to speak, words eluded her.

"You who sold yourself for some profit didn’t deserve words."

With those cold words, Ragnar launched two wind blades that first cut her other hand, and the second severed her neck.

"Splash! Splash!

Blood spilled onto the ground as Niara’s lifeless head fell in shock. She never imagined meeting her end here, instead of reaping rewards or ascending to greater power.

"Finally, the end of cause and effect."

Ragnar sighed as his cold expression changed and showed a melancholy look at the dead Niara.

Apollo and others didn’t say until the moment he finished her. They understood that it was something he had to do alone.

"Let’s leave."

Finally, Ragnar snapped out of his thoughts, realising that the ordeal was far from over. He understood that he needed to leave the city and find a safe place where he could hide for months, or even years, away from the Dark Heaven Court.

Apollo and the other two nodded, then quickly departed, fleeing the destroyed underground tunnels. Moments later, another group arrived, but finding no one, they pressed on with their search.

Outside, the world appeared to be turned upside down, with the sky filled with countless fissures in space, crackling with powerful energy. It felt like the end of the world, with fierce winds whipping through the air and dark clouds and storms shrouding the northern wasteland.

The battle intensified as they fought with increasing ferocity. With the strength of the Demi-gods, they altered the landscape and even disturbed the atmosphere of the entire northern wilderness. However, determining who had the upper hand remained a challenge.

Both sides appeared evenly matched, making it nearly impossible to predict the victor unless they deployed their trump cards or resorted to drastic measures.

The conflict seemed destined to stretch on for days, perhaps even weeks, before concluding.

Yet the strength of the white-haired man continued to astound everyone, even catching the twin old Demi-gods off guard.

Though formidable among demi-gods themselves, they found themselves astonished by his prowess. He stood alone, battling toe to toe without faltering.

"Tell us your name."

The twin old demi-god finally asked his name instead of calling him a kid.

"Boreas."

He calmly said his name with confidence as he faced two demigods and didn’t push back.

"Boreas! We will remember it."

Afterwards, the twin demi-gods vanished from the sky, their gaze fixed on the distant horizon. As they faded away, one by one, three world-shattering auras suddenly manifested above Frostheld City.

"Hmm! ran away."

Boreas snorted, knowing that the two old demi-gods had run away.

"Haha, Boreas, it seemed you were having fun."

"What fun! It is a waste of time; you should have ended as quickly as possible."

"Well, it wasn’t his problem; his opponents weren’t ordinary."

One after another, three figures came tearing a space and started to talk.

The first figure emerged as an eight-foot-tall, half-naked man, exuding an aura of boundless strength and unrestrained freedom.

Following him, a young girl, appearing to be only ten or twelve years old, bore a demeanour as cold as ice. Lastly, the third figure seemed the most unassuming, lacking any remarkable features save for a small mark adorning his forehead.

"Okay, since they run away, then just clear the place from rats."

The guy with the mark on his head said, and the other three nodded.

Boreas swiftly swung his arm, and in an instant, the barrier shrouding the city came under assault by an unimaginable force, causing it to tremble.

With resounding bangs and cracks echoing through the air, countless fractures marred the surface of the barrier, resembling shattered glass, before it ultimately collapsed.

Crack! Crack! Boom!

As the barrier around the city dissipated, a collective realisation swept over everyone within Frostheld City and the members of the Dark Heaven Court and its three halls.

They understood that the reinforcements from the Eternal Ice Palace had arrived, signalling a shift in the balance of power. Even the Demi-god elders chose to withdraw in the face of this newfound support.

With the imminent threat of death looming, they hastened to evacuate. Meanwhile, from another spatial crack outside the Frostheld city, an army of warriors clad in gleaming silver armour and wielding formidable weapons emerged, marching inexorably towards the City.

The four Demi-gods remained standing in the sky, looking downward, without the intention of hunting some ants from the dark heaven court.

The City Lord Langenberg and others sighed in relief as they watched the demi-god of the Dark Heaven Court depart while welcoming the support from the Eternal Ice Palace.

With the army’s support, they believed that the city would be under their control quickly.

However, Dark Heaven Court plans were thrown into chaos by the unexpected and swift appearance of the other three demigods, a development beyond their expectations. All the members of the Dark Heaven Court initiated their escape, fully aware that capture would result in certain death.

Apollo and the others reached their destination, greeted by the bright light emanating from the tunnels.
