Chapter 81: Demi-God
Chapter 81: Demi-God
He should have silently kidnapped Ragnar when he saw him in the tunnel and got the Dark King Crown way before, but now it’s too late. Everyone knows their current location; he had to kill these rats extremely fast, and only one thing on him could do that.
"Die; all of you should die!"
He didn’t care about his subordinates or anything; now, he wanted to kill everyone here mercilessly.
Since anything wasn’t going according to his plan, let’s kill them all. He had lost his cool and made up his mind to f**k them all, not caring about any sh*t of consequences.
In his hand, immediately two mysterious scrolls appeared that shone brightly with an aura of destruction.
"Run! Everybody run!"
All understood what those two scrolls were and quickly tried to hide to save their lives.
"Die!!!"
Boom!!!! Boom!!!!
Two explosions, resembling the end of days, reverberated through the city, shaking it from its very foundations as countless tunnels collapsed beneath, threatening the stability of the entire landscape.
Soldiers from City Hall and members from all three halls of Dark Heaven Court were caught off guard as the tunnels collapsed around them, as they were close to the tunnels where devastating explosions took place.
The entire city trembled as if struck by a powerful earthquake, resulting in the collapse of numerous buildings.
"What is happening below?"
Countless warriors couldn’t help but ask as such tremors continued.
They can only think that the battle underground is becoming more and more intense.
At the same time, the area beside the battle tower seems to be mostly destroyed, covered with a cold chilling aura, and filled with numerous broken ice sculptures. It looks like a battlefield where countless soldiers fought.
"Not bad; you two are still alive. I guess you two did have some god blood."
Three people were in that devastating place, while two of them were on their knees and were having a hard time standing.
They were none other than the two members of the Eternal Ice Palace who had ventured into the city to investigate rumours of the God Son. However, they now found themselves in an embarrassing predicament.
On the other hand, the enemy, adorned with snake tattoos, appeared unscathed, as if he hadn’t engaged in battle at all.
"Damm! You’ve ascended to the pinnacle of fourth-rank Grandmaster and even mastered the Pseudo Domain."
Both on their knees, they struggled to speak, feeling a profound weakness in his presence. They had entered with pride and confidence, but now they were overwhelmed by embarrassment at their weakness.
"Come on, don’t be bi*ch about it; you guys are also fourth-rank limit-breakers; it was nothing but your weakness that made you suffer defeat."
Sith’s smile carried a chilling edge as he rebuked them for their feeble excuse and displayed weakness.
Upon hearing this, both fell silent, unable to shake off the feeling of inferiority in the face of the man who had effortlessly defeated them.
"Don’t rejoice just yet. We’re merely the outer members. When you encounter the real talent from Eternal Ice Palace, you’ll understand what true strength is," they cautioned, their words tinged with a hint of warning.
Now, they might have lost, but they believed that those powerful disciples from the inner hall could easily defeat the guy.
"Maybe, but you two wouldn’t be able to see that."
"Die!"
As he moved to deliver the final blow, the sky above underwent a dramatic transformation, with ominous black clouds swirling into existence, and the air around them grew oppressively heavy.
All eyes in the city turned skyward as a lone figure levitated just beyond the barrier enveloping Frostheld City.
The individual bore the appearance of a youthful, handsome man with white hair, similar to Apollo. Despite the absence of any overt display of power, an aura of grandeur emanated from him, imbued with a profound sense of presence.
Yet, despite his seemingly unassuming demeanour, no one dared mistake him for an ordinary individual.
As he gingerly extended his hand towards the barrier enshrouding the city, a mere touch unleashed unexpected waves and tremors. The once seemingly impervious barrier, which had withstood countless assaults from limit-breakers without budging an inch, now quivered under his gentle touch.
"Oh!"
The handsome white-haired guy seemed a little surprised, as the barrier didn’t break from his simple touch. But instead of feeling angry, he smiled, as he found it amusing.
Countless people in the city were gripped by terror, unable to fathom the magnitude of power possessed by this mysterious figure. His ability to shake the impenetrable barrier, a feat that even the most revered sages had failed to accomplish with all their might, left them stunned and bewildered.
Just as the mysterious white-haired individual poised to extend his hand once more, two old guys materialised beside him in the sky. The two old men have similar builds, and even their faces seem identical, just like twins.
Crack! Crack!
The skies above the city began to convulse as if caught in the throes of an otherworldly disturbance. Countless rifts tore through the heavens, unveiling dark voids that loomed ominously over the entire cityscape.
The mere presence of the two old men seemed to be shaking the sky, and they quickly seemed to converge their strength, and slowly the sky healed itself.
Both old men seemed to suppress their strength, but their aura was unfathomable, giving them all intense pressure and making it difficult to even stand straight. It was quite different from the young, white-haired man, whose aura was profound but didn’t let them feel much.
Sith, poised to strike down the two members of the Eternal Ice Palace, abruptly halted his movements. Grave expressions were etched across his face, replacing the cunning demeanour he had previously shown.
The two from the Eternal Ice Place also took this chance to run, as Sith seemed to not care about the two.
Instead, he murmured something, looking at the sky with a horrified expression.
"Demi-God."
Naturally, the strong people all over the city, whether it was the City Lord or any other Sage in the city, looked at the sky with horror and reverence at the same time.
"Oh, it seems you’re the ones responsible for this barrier," he remarked with a mix of curiosity and threat. "So, are you going to introduce yourselves, or do I have to resort to violent means?"
"Hehe, it seems the younger generation of Eternal Ice Palace has become too proud."
"Haha, yes, it looks like it’s up to us to teach them how to behave."
Both old guys weren’t afraid as they laughed upon hearing the white-haired person’s threat.
"Hmm, funny, hopefully you two can laugh when I break every divine bone in your body."
And with that said, they unleashed their unearthly aura, which seemed to clash with each other, and spilt the sky into two.
The barrier behind them trembled while the earth shook, compelling the city’s inhabitants to cower on the ground under intense pressure that overwhelmed most of them.
Only a few sages and powerful fourth-rank grandmasters within the city could still stand and look up in the sky as the auras of those three confronted each other and split the sky.
"City Lord Langenberg, do you know which three Demi-Gods were fighting?"
One of the grandmasters from City Hall asked as they looked in the sky.
"Hmm, from the aura, the white-haired demi-god should be from Eternal Ice Palace, while the two old men should be from Dark Heaven Court."
Langenberg couldn’t shake off a sense of weakness, especially with the arrival of a demi-god into the fray. He could only hope that the demi-god from the Eternal Ice Palace would prove capable of handling the two old guys; otherwise, the entire city might find itself buried before the day’s end.
The white-haired guy was covered in a chilling, cold aura that seemed to freeze the space, whereas the two old men were covered in a greyish aura filled with the gloomy essence of poison and corrosion.
"Let’s see how good you two oldies are."
"Ice Meteor!"
Calmly uttering his words, he vanished, reappearing several kilometres away and high in the sky. From the clouds emerged an island-sized meteor with a radius of five kilometres, hurtling downward towards the two levitating old men.
Witnessing the meteor in the sky, the people of the city couldn’t help but gulp, their horror intensifying as they watched the colossal ice meteor descend slowly upon the two twin old men.
"Brother, look at the kid; he is throwing stones at us."
"Indeed, the things the kid would do."
Both of them smiled and waved their hands towards the meteor.
Bang!
Their hands, pulsating with an aura of corrosion, clashed with the meteor, causing the sky to warp and generating devastating shockwaves that reverberated through space.
Crack! Crack!...
Slowly, one after another, cracks began to spiderweb across the surface of the meteor until, finally, it shattered into thousands of pieces, descending from the sky like a rain of fragments.
