Chapter 372: Spirit of Gravity Tower
With each layer, the pressure increased multiple times, and it became so terrifying that even true gods would be crushed to death. But they still steadily move forward, like they were walking in their garden.
They calmly crossed the 100th floor; only then did the gravity bring some pressure, as the level of gravity seemed to surpass what a true god can handle.
Outside, the scouts that were monitoring Apollo and his guardian naturally saw and heard everything and couldn’t help but be shocked. They quickly send this information back because they knew what it meant to directly enter the 90th floor.
Their strength definitely reached void god rank, and they must be at the peak of it. Such strength was already at the top of the continent or Rion.
The news spread like wildfire through the upper echelons of the Sacred Elements Empire. By the time Apollo and his guardian calmly stepped onto the 101st floor, the entire capital’s power structure had been alerted.
Inside secret halls and ancient chambers, high-ranking officials, sect elders, and hidden powerhouses gathered swiftly to review the transmitted reports.
How can they sleep peacefully knowing such powerful gods from the eastern continent are hanging around in their capital?
"Directly entering the 90th floor without prior trials and... entering the 100th floor as if it were nothing?" A venerable elder’s voice trembled slightly. "Even our sect’s peak Void God ancestors have not done this."
Another elder’s eyes gleamed sharply. "These men... their origins are no longer simple. It’s likely they’re either hidden ancient warriors that awakened in the last decades from the Eastern Continent’s ancient forces—or..." his voice lowered ominously, "something else entirely."
"Keep monitoring them," a cold voice finally ordered from the highest seat. "But do not provoke them."
Inside the Gravity Tower, the pressure on the 101st floor surged again.
Here, the gravity no longer just compressed the body—it began to distort space and even subtly affect time, twisting Apollo’s movements in ways that could tear peak true god beings apart in an instant.
The guardian finally furrowed his brows, feeling the faint burn of his limits. Although it was not much, still the pressure here started to become troublesome for eternal gods.
But Apollo? He was still relaxed, his steps steady, his hands clasped behind his back as if admiring scenery. His body was stronger than most high-grade divine weapons, and he could even face late-stage eternal gods with his bare physique, so it still wasn’t anything to him.
’Interesting... this pressure... It’s refining my soul, my body, and even my perception. If I train here long enough, I might temper my physique and soul to an even more terrifying level.’
His faint smile deepened.
Meanwhile, a chamber within the Gravity Tower.
A group of mysterious robed figures gathered, staring at the rapidly updating projection.
"Report. Current floor?"
"Sir... He’s already on the 103rd floor."
"Impossible. The current highest record is the 89th. Even those born with divine physiques collapsed at the 90th floor."
"His divine essence is sealed, and his soul is restricted. He’s doing this with pure physique and willpower alone."
The leader’s expression darkened. "Is the tower malfunctioning? No one should survive this level of gravity suppression."
Snort!
"I let you humans use my power, yet you dare to question it."
Suddenly a mysterious voice seemed to appear in the room, shocking everyone, but quickly they calmed down as they knew whose voice this was."
"Lord Spirit, we didn’t question the power of the gravity tower; it just was unbelievable that someone reached above the hundredth floor."
The leader within the room quickly said apologetically.
A cold, ancient chuckle echoed within the chamber. "Hmph. Unbelievable?"
The temperature in the room seemed to plummet, the weight of the mysterious being’s attention suffocating. The robed figures lowered their heads instinctively, their foreheads nearly touching the cold stone floor.
"I granted you the privilege of managing this tower, but don’t ever forget..." The voice now whispered, yet it thundered in their very souls.
"That it is beyond your strength. Do you really think you can control my power at merely void god level?"
"As for the two within, their true strength is clearly beyond Void God. So they can naturally move upwards, so don’t dare to question me."
The robed figures trembled under the pressure of the ancient being’s presence. None of them dared to speak, not even to breathe too loudly.
The leader lowered himself even further. "We would never dare, Lord Spirit. We are merely ignorant in the face of such unfathomable power. Please forgive our momentary foolishness."
The ancient voice snorted again, but this time it seemed more amused than angry. "Hmph. Ignorant humans, indeed. Consider yourselves fortunate that I am in a good mood."
The pressure gradually lifted, allowing the robed figures to finally breathe normally again, though cold sweat soaked their backs.
"You can see them from here. But do not interfere," the spirit’s voice echoed, its tone laced with strange interest. "The one who walks the tower now... is not ordinary. Even I can feel it."
The projection in front of them flickered, showing Apollo and his guardian calmly pressing forward, as if the crushing gravity meant nothing to them.
"I wonder..." the ancient spirit mused, its voice fading slowly into the stone walls, "how far you can go... and whether you are the one."
The room fell silent.
No one dared to ask what the spirit meant.
Inside the Gravity Tower, 105th Floor.
Apollo’s steps remained steady, though the sheer gravity now twisted even the fabric of his thoughts.
His guardian, despite his own astonishing strength, was beginning to falter. His breathing grew heavy, his limbs sluggish, as if an invisible chain was pulling him down to the abyss.
"My lord... I will stay here." The guardian knelt, sweat dripping from his brow. His voice remained steady, but his body couldn’t advance further. "Beyond this, I may only become a burden."
He was not weak; he had reached the middle stage of the eternal god realm, but his physique wasn’t the strongest aspect. Still, reaching here was quite a feat.
