Chapter 327: Late Stage Void God
Chapter 327: Late Stage Void God
Apollo, the moment he entered, quickly started to absorb the pure divine energy within the lake. His body was like a black hole, rapidly draining the divine energy without any hint of stopping.
The glow of the lake dimmed slightly around him, its power being absorbed so intensely it looked like the stars beneath the water were being extinguished.
Clark and Sara exchanged a glance — no words needed.
The memory of Apollo’s battle was still vivid, carved into their souls. They now understood how vast the gap truly was. They weren’t weak — they were just mortal flames standing beneath a falling star.
Wordlessly, they also started after him, letting the sacred energy rush over their bodies.
Instantly, their own cultivations began to churn — old bottlenecks shattering, sluggish divine energy circulating faster and purer. Their blood roared, their hearts beat like war drums. A path forward, once obscure, now blazed brightly before them.
Inside the Divine Lake, time seemed to pause as the three silently engrossed themselves in absorbing the divine energy.
Time passed, and Apollo, sitting cross-legged at the heart of the lake, shrouded in glowing runes and lunar light, looked like a deity descending — preparing for his next transformation.
His aura has reached the peak of the early void stage, and the internal world within increases many times. He was ready for the breakthrough. His divine energy condensed. Lunar rule, once flickering and mysterious, now pulsed with a rhythm echoing the heartbeat of the universe.
Not only that; other rules he understood also flickered, whether it was the rule of space destruction or sword. All seemed to reach harmony.
Then—
BOOM.
A soundless quake rippled across the lake.
A pillar of silver light burst upward from Apollo’s body, piercing through the ceiling of the inner space like a divine lance. The waters churned, the sky cracked, and all creation within this space trembled in awe.
He made a breakthrough.
His aura reached the middle stage of void god, but it wasn’t enough, as this was just the beginning, and he continued to absorb the divine energy.
On the outer edge of the lake, Clark and Sara momentarily paused their own cultivation. Their eyes, filled with awe, turned toward the source of the growing storm.
"...He’s already broken through?" Clark muttered, a mixture of admiration and helplessness in his voice.
Sara remained silent for a moment, then whispered, "His pace... it’s monstrous."
A bitter smile touched Clark’s lips. He shook his head. "No. Comparing ourselves to someone like him will only crush our spirit. We need to focus on our own paths."
Sara nodded in agreement. Both of them closed their eyes once more and resumed absorbing divine energy, their hearts steadied by resolve.
But Apollo’s ascension was far from over.
His aura, already stabilised at the middle stage, continued to rise, step by step, with unwavering momentum. The pressure intensified, shaking the very space around him.
His aura was increasing every second. And quickly the peak of the middle Void God stage was already within reach.
Half an hour later it already reached the peak of the middle stage of the void god.
Apollo’s entire being radiated power. The lake around him had turned into a storm of divine energy, twisting and writhing like a celestial sea caught in a lunar eclipse. His aura was no longer expanding — it was condensing, focusing, sharpening into something terrifyingly pure.
The space around him trembled as if groaning under the pressure of a coming calamity.
The light around his body intensified. His internal world quaked, and divine energy gathered with such density it felt like the heavens themselves were being pulled into his core.
And then—
BOOM!
A deafening explosion of divine pressure erupted outward. The Divine Lake roared, its surface pushed down by the shockwave before erupting upward in a geyser of silver light and divine mist.
And with ease he again broke the another small barrier, reaching the late stage of the void god. But he still didn’t stop. As he didn’t have any bottleneck below the eternal god realm, he continued to devour the divine energy.
Although the commotion this time was larger, Clark and Sara didn’t stop absorbing divine energy; instead, they focused more as they could feel slowly the concentration of divine energy within the lake was decreasing.
The once boundless divine energy of the lake... was dwindling.
The purity remained, but the concentration was clearly thinning. And they could feel it — a slow but undeniable depletion.
They exchanged glances, both seeing the same realisation reflected in each other’s eyes.
"This... this lake should’ve been enough for hundreds of Void Gods to break through to the True God Realm," Clark muttered under his breath.
"Yet just from two small breakthroughs—early to middle and middle to late —Apollo consumed nearly twenty percent of it," Sara whispered, almost in disbelief.
They felt a sense of urgency; as if they didn’t break through quickly, Apollo would devour all of the divine energy in it.
Both of them quickly tried their best, and quickly half an hour passed, and both of their auras also showed fluctuations as they also seemed to reach a critical breakthrough point.
Without hesitation, they tried to break the final barrier, as although they might not be monstrous anomalies like Apollo, they were also geniuses, and the barrier of a true god could not stop them.
Boom!
Crack! Crack!
With twin echoes that reverberated through the ancient space, the invisible shackles around them shattered.
Their life force surged.
A divine brilliance enveloped both Clark and Sara, marking the transformation from Void God to True God. Their bodies began to undergo a fundamental change — divine bones forged anew, inner worlds expanded, and their presence began to ripple with the authority of True Gods.
"Haha, now we are stronger." Both of them quickly opened their eyes and felt the surging strength within them and couldn’t help but feel great, as after entering, they were constantly under pressure, especially seeing the battle of Apollo and other sanctum warriors.
Now, after their breakthrough, they are still not an opponent of Apollo, but they can at least have a greater chance of saving their lives.
Apollo, seated at the heart of the lake like a sovereign sculpted from moonlight and divine runes, opened his eyes slowly.
He had noticed Clark’s and Sara’s breakthroughs the moment they happened — two flashes of ascending divinity that bloomed at the lake’s edge like twin lotuses. But he didn’t show any surprise.
’It’s only natural,’ he thought.
Both of them were already standing at the peak of the Void God realm. With this level of pure divine essence saturating the lake, even ordinary cultivators might’ve had a chance. For them, geniuses born with destiny coiled around their bones, it was expected.
He turned his gaze inward once more, sensing the surging tide of power within his own body.
His divine body was glowing with sacred radiance, stronger than ever — his inner world had expanded dozens of times over.
He had reached the late stage of the Void God realm.
And now... he stood on the verge of breaking into the peak.
But...
A small frown formed on his lips.
’Still not enough.’
The divine lake — that celestial pool brimming with energy extracted from divine stones and tempered by time — had already lost more than fifty percent of its essence. The once blinding clarity of its waters had dimmed slightly. He could feel the thinning density in every breath.
The remaining divine energy would likely allow him to reach the very peak of the Void God realm...
But it wouldn’t be enough to cross the final threshold.
