Chapter 314: Primordial Sanctum
Chapter 314: Primordial Sanctum
The voice was mysterious and powerful, filling the entire space. Thousands of people present here immediately calmed down. Even though only the forces that have a powerhouse at the level of Eternal God and above were invited, they still dare not show any displeasure in front of the voice.
Apollo narrowed his eyes. The sheer weight of that voice was enough to silence even Eternal Gods. It wasn’t just power—it carried an ancient, unfathomable authority.
At the centre of the grand hall, the space twisted, and a figure emerged.
Shrouded in flowing black and gold robes, the being’s very existence seemed detached from reality, as if it existed in multiple dimensions at once. It had no distinct facial features—only a shifting mass of cosmic energy where a face should be.
The air around them trembled. Even the proudest Celestials and the eerie Nihility Lords stood still, their gazes filled with caution.
"Who is this?" He thought, and Kael beside him noticed this and quickly transmitted his voice.
Kael’s voice rang in his mind.
"Lord, that’s one of the current five leaders of the current council."
Apollo’s eyes narrowed slightly. One of the five leaders of the council? That meant this being was one of the strongest figures in the entire Void Ganges Continent—perhaps even beyond.
This person was definitely above the eternal gods, but he was covered in a mysterious aura, so he cannot fully tell how strong he is compared to the terrifying powerhouse he saw in the Black Flame Sovereign Realm.
The presence of such a figure only reinforced the gravity of this gathering.
The leader’s voice echoed once more, reverberating through the hall like the toll of an ancient bell.
"The three universes have flourished in their own ways. And have reached new heights with countless powerhouses emerging after our last gathering."
"Now once again the time had come for selecting the champions."
A ripple of energy surged through the hall as the leader’s words sank in. Selection of the champions.
His eyes gleamed with intrigue. This was no ordinary gathering—this was a test, a proving ground for the strongest among them.
The leader continued, "Each universe will send forth its chosen warriors, those deemed worthy to represent their realm. They will face the Trials of the Void, and the champions will be granted access to the Primordial Sanctum."
A low murmur spread through the hall. Even among the Eternal Gods present, some expressions darkened, while others shone with ambition.
The Primordial Sanctum.
A place of legends, where the remnants of the Ancients were said to be buried. A place rumoured to hold the deepest secrets of the cosmos.
Apollo remained silent, his mind racing. The Void Whale’s mark on his wrist tingled slightly as if responding to the words. Was this connected to why it had chosen him?
The leader raised a hand, silencing the murmurs.
"The trials will begin in three days. Each force from the universe can send contenders at different levels."
With that said, the senior disappeared, leaving the people present here with different thoughts.
"Hey, I didn’t expect this year they would open the Primordial Sanctum."
"Yeah," another voice chimed in. "The Primordial Sanctum hasn’t been opened in countless years. There must be something special about this cycle."
Apollo listened silently, his fingers subconsciously brushing against the tattoo on his wrist. The more he thought about it, the more he felt like this event had deeper layers than what was being revealed.
Kael, standing beside him, let out a low whistle. "So, Lord, are you going to participate?"
"Hmm, I will participate." He made up his mind quickly, as he had a feeling this tattoo had something to do with the primordial sanctum.
Kael smirked. "Figured. And I guess the real monsters are about to reveal themselves."
The three universes were already filled with terrifying individuals, but this? This was a call for the absolute elites. A gathering where only the top figures could stand at the peak.
Apollo’s eyes gleamed with excitement. "Let’s see just how strong the so-called champions of the three universes are."
Kael chuckled but remained wary. "Lord, even for you, this won’t be easy. The ones participating won’t be just ordinary prodigies—they’ll be the chosen monsters of their universes."
Apollo smirked. "That makes it even more interesting."
As they continued discussing, whispers filled the grand hall. There were hundreds of forces from three universes that are peak forces of their universes, and the battle among the best among the best is going to be terrifying.
Especially this time, as it seems all three universes are in their golden era, filled with numerous prodigies that usually take hundreds of thousands of years to come.
Kael let out a low whistle. "A golden era, huh? That means the level of competition will be beyond insane. Even for you, Lord, this will be a true challenge."
Apollo didn’t reply immediately. He gazed across the vast grand hall, taking in the sheer number of powerful figures gathered. From battle-hardened warlords to enigmatic beings cloaked in cosmic energy, the elites of the three universes had come in full force.
The atmosphere was charged with tension. Everyone knew that this gathering wasn’t just for show—this was a battlefield where legends would rise and fall.
"I heard the Celestial Continuum’s Radiant Prince is participating."
"The Dark Monarch’s heir from the Dark Nihility Universe too. That guy is a walking calamity!"
"And what about the Void Sovereign’s disciple? They say he can erase entire worlds just by stepping on them!"
The crowd quickly started to chatter about the famous geniuses of their universe, respectively.
Apollo’s gaze remained steady as he listened to the excited murmurs around him. The strongest from the Celestial Continuum and Dark Nihility Universes were already well-known, but what about his own universe?
He transmitted his voice to Kael. "What about our side? Who are the strongest contenders from our universe?"
"Well, I heard the Dragon King’s chosen heir is here. That guy’s rumoured to have mastered power to an absurd degree."
He raised an eyebrow. "Anyone else?"
Kael nodded. "The Chaos Saintess of the Primal God Sect. She’s got some freakish control over entropy itself. They say nothing lasts in her presence—energy, laws, even time itself start to unravel."
"Oh, where are these two?" He asked.
Kael quickly scanned the grand hall, his eyes darting over the sea of prodigies and powerhouses. Then, he subtly gestured toward two distinct figures standing apart from the crowd.
"See that woman over there? The one wrapped in black and violet mist? That’s the Chaos Saintess," Kael whispered.
He followed his gaze.
