Chapter 313: The Gathering Begins
The void around him trembled, and something strange happened as he seemed to appear in front of the mysterious and colossal void whale. And then suddenly the mysterious void whale turned into a ray of light and turned into a tattoo on his wrist.
Apollo’s breath hitched. What the hell just happened?
One moment, he had been staring at a creature far beyond the power of even an Eternal God. Next, the massive void whale had dissolved into pure light and merged with him.
He looked down at his wrist.
A deep black tattoo, shaped like a swirling cosmic whirlpool, had appeared on his skin. The mark pulsed faintly, carrying the same aura of boundless void energy that the creature once radiated.
Kael, who just felt the Void whale disappear and didn’t see anything that happened with him, said, "Lord, the monster disappeared; we are saved." He didn’t understand anything; for him, being able to save their lives was already the greatest joy.
Apollo glanced at Kael, who looked genuinely relieved. His companion had no idea what had just happened.
The void whale hadn’t disappeared. It had merged with him.
But he didn’t explain. Not yet. He wasn’t even sure he understood it himself.
He smirked slightly, masking his thoughts. "Yeah, looks like we got lucky."
Kael exhaled, running a hand through his hair. "Lucky? Damn, Lord, I thought we were finished! That thing was beyond anything I’ve ever seen."
He flexed his wrist again, feeling the faint pulse of the void energy still lingering in his body. Whatever had just happened, it wasn’t over.
"Let’s head back," Apollo said, turning away.
Kael eagerly nodded. "Yeah, let’s get the hell out of here before another nightmare shows up."
As they stepped through the void, his mind raced.
What if the colossal Void Whale suddenly disappeared and transformed into bright light? And more importantly—
What had he just become? Why did it seem to merge with and leave a tattoo behind?
He, after returning, wanted to feel if something changed within him, as he didn’t feel anything, with only the new thing being the tattoo; nothing else seemed to be different. But still, he needed to carefully check himself.
They quickly came out of the deep void and then left the area.
But the moment they left, a moment later, two figures seemed to appear in the void.
The two figures floated silently in the deep void, their presence barely disturbing the space around them.
One of them, cloaked in shifting shadows, narrowed his eyes. "Did you feel it?"
The second figure, wrapped in a mantle of flowing silver light, nodded solemnly. "Yes. An ancient presence... one that should not exist in this era."
They both turned their gaze toward the lingering ripples in the void.
"It resonated with something—or someone," the shadowed figure mused. "But it has vanished completely. No trace left."
The silver-cloaked one sighed. "If it truly is what I suspect... then the balance has shifted."
Silence stretched between them before the shadowed figure chuckled. "Perhaps this is the beginning of something far more interesting."
Then, just as silently as they had arrived, the two figures disappeared into the endless void.
Meanwhile, after returning, Apollo sat cross-legged in his chamber, his fingers lightly tracing the tattoo on his wrist.
It didn’t just feel like a marking. It pulsed faintly, almost as if it were alive.
He focused inward, sending his consciousness deep into his soul, searching for any changes. But he didn’t find any changes, so after this, he started to use various rules to see if anything changed with this tattoo.
Apollo infused the tattoo with his understanding of various rules—eternal sword rule, fire and even destruction—but nothing seemed to happen. The tattoo remained unresponsive, as if it were nothing more than an ordinary mark.
He frowned. That colossal Void Whale had power far beyond an Eternal God. There was no way it had simply disappeared without consequence.
Next, he channelled the power of the Space Rule, letting the energy of the infinite void seep into the mark.
For a moment, nothing happened.
Then—
Buzz!
A deep hum resonated through his very soul, and for an instant, he felt weightless—like he was being pulled into something vast and unfathomable.
The surroundings around him blurred, and suddenly, he found himself floating in an endless, starless void.
His expression sharpened. This wasn’t an illusion.
It was real. And then suddenly he again saw the Void Whale floating right in front of him. He instantly felt closeness to the space, like he was transformed into a void creature.
Boom!
For a moment he felt like a void whale could devour space and increase his strength, but he suddenly felt a bit weak, and instantly he snapped back to reality.
Apollo took a deep breath as his vision stabilised. The Void Whale was gone, and he was back in reality—but the sensation lingered. He knew the feeling was real, but why it suddenly gave him this mark. He was still in confusion for now.
But at least it seems to do no harm for him and even seems to improve his strength.
Two days quickly passed, and the day of the three-universe gathering came. Numerous forces from the three universes slowly started to gather in the city centre hall.
He stood at the edge of the grand city centre, his gaze sweeping across the vast hall filled with powerful figures from the three universes. The air was thick with energy—different rules, different fundamental forces clashing subtly, yet held in balance by the mysterious nature of the Void Ganges Continent.
His fingers instinctively brushed against the tattoo on his wrist. But his gaze moved across the hall.
The Celestial Continuum beings radiated sacred light, their pure white wings shimmering with divine power. They stood with effortless grace, exuding an untouchable arrogance.
From the Dark Nihility Universe, dark-cloaked figures stood eerily silent. Their presence seemed to distort reality itself, and shadows coiled unnaturally around them, as if they weren’t fully part of this world.
And then, there were the Void Ganges Continent natives.
As everyone were looking around feeling the power of different forces from the three universes. Just then, a deep, commanding voice rang out.
"Welcome, masters of the three universes. The gathering begins now."
