Chapter 243: Astral Void Station
After taking two days to rest and recover, Apollo decided to prepare for his journey into the wider universe. Using his accumulated points, he purchased some life-saving treasures, ensuring he was equipped for any unforeseen dangers. With everything ready, he made his way to the space portal that connected the Lunar Star Moon to the vast expanse beyond.
Unlike many others who needed to buy or commission a spaceship, he had no such requirement. As the lord of Lunar Star Moon, he already possessed a formidable spaceship, one imbued with advanced technology and mystical energies, making it more than capable of traversing the universe.
He ordered his subordinates to bring out his spaceship, and moments later a gigantic spaceship, bigger than an island, appeared in the sky.
The gigantic spaceship, a combination of engineering and magic, hovered above, casting an immense shadow over the Lunar Star Moon. Its sleek, metallic surface shimmered faintly, etched with glowing runes that pulsed in harmony with the space—a fusion of cosmic energy and ancient technology.
The vessel, named ’Eclipse Sovereign,’ was not just a spaceship but a fortress capable of navigating the dangerous void of the universe.
The hatch slowly opened, and a small group of people quickly came out from it and bowed to him, their voices echoing in unison.
"Lord Apollo, the Eclipse Sovereign is prepared for departure. All systems are fully operational, and the crew awaits your command."
The group leader, a sharp-eyed woman with silver hair tied in a neat bun, stepped forward.
She was not only the captain but also one of the guardians, and she was going to follow him and protect him during his journey.
"Lord Apollo," she began with a steady voice, "I am Selena Ryn, at your service. We’ve prepared your quarters and ensured the vault is stocked with necessary supplies, including the life-saving treasures you’ve recently acquired. The Sovereign’s defences and weaponry have been tested and optimised for long-range and close-quarters engagements."
Apollo gave a small nod, his gaze sweeping over the crew. "Good work, Captain Selena," he said, his voice calm but carrying an undeniable weight of authority. "Okay, then, let us be ready to leave."
"Our destination is the Astral Void Station. From there, we’ll chart a course deeper into the universe."
Despite being called a station, Astral Void Station was far from an ordinary settlement. Its size dwarfed the entirety of Rion, stretching out in all directions like a colossal hub in the middle of the void. Positioned strategically in the vastness of space, it served as a bustling space station for countless travellers navigating the universe.
According to the star charts, Astral Void Station was the closest major waypoint to their current location. Its reputation as a trade and travel hub made it an ideal stop to gather supplies and intelligence.
As Apollo approached the spaceship, its immense size became even more imposing. The gangway lowered with a hiss, and he ascended, his steps steady and unhurried.
Once aboard, he took a moment to admire the interior. The bridge was a marvel of futuristic design, with a panoramic view of the stars and an array of advanced control systems. His quarters were equally impressive—a blend of luxury and practicality, designed for both comfort and training.
"Captain Selena," Apollo called out as he settled into the command chair. "Take us out. It’s time we set foot into the unknown and claim what the universe has to offer."
Selene saluted, her voice firm. "Yes, my lord. Initiating launch sequence."
The Eclipse Sovereign hummed to life, its energy core flaring as it rose higher into the atmosphere. The shimmering runic barrier of the Lunar Star Moon parted, allowing the ship to ascend into the infinite expanse of space.
As the stars stretched before him, Apollo leaned back, a faint smile gracing his lips. His journey into the universe had begun, and he was determined to carve his name across its boundless void.
After the spaceship went through the space portal and appeared outside in the empty void, it started its boring journey, and it would take more than two weeks for him to reach the Astral Void Station. The two weeks was also considered a short time, as most spaceships used by most warriors in the universe would take half a year or even more to travel such a distance.
In the universe, a year of travel is considered near, as most distant places need hundreds, if not thousands, of years.
So, Apollo went to his place to meditate and consolidate his strength and waited to arrive at their destination.
Time passed, and two weeks quickly passed. Apollo was meditating in his room when the voice of Serena awakened him.
"Lord, sorry to disturb you, but we have arrived."
Apollo opened his eyes, the faint glow of his Eternal Sword Aura dissipating as he emerged from his meditative state. The air around him felt heavy, a lingering testament to the immense energy he had been refining.
Rising from his seat, he adjusted his attire, the dark, star-etched robes settling over his shoulders like a mantle of authority. His sharp gaze turned to the holographic interface in his quarters, where Captain Selene’s face appeared.
"Okay, Captain Selena. I’ll head to the bridge shortly," Apollo said, his voice even, yet carrying a trace of excitement.
"Yes, my lord," Selene replied, her image fading from the screen.
Stepping onto the bridge, Apollo was greeted by the crew’s salute. Beyond the panoramic windows of the spaceship, the spectacular view could be seen. Astral Void Station, is a gigantic landmass in the empty void of the universe.
The station floated in the vast void, its structure resembling a gargantuan cluster of luminous orbs interconnected by glowing pathways. Energy conduits and portals filled with light, sending ripples of power across its expansive network.
Ships of various sizes and designs are docked at the station’s numerous docking platforms, each representing factions, sects, and warriors from across the universe.
The outer regions of the station were bustling with activity, while the central sphere radiated an imposing aura. This was where the most powerful entities gathered, the seat of influence in the Astral Void Station.
"Magnificent," Apollo murmured, his gaze taking in the scale of the city, whose full size was bigger than he thought. They were still some distance away, yet it still was an unimaginable feeling.
"Take us to Dock 47 in the central district," Serena commanded the navigation team. The ship began its descent toward the designated docking zone, its runes flaring brightly to signal its arrival. Other ships made way, their leaders wary of the Eclipse Sovereign, whose aura of power and authority was unmistakable.
As the ship docked, Apollo and Selena went outside to explore the place.
Stepping off the ship, Apollo was greeted by a wave of vibrant energy. The air hummed with the confluence of countless laws, treasures, and powerful entities converging in one place. The dock was a bustling hub, filled with warriors, merchants, and adventurers, each radiating a unique presence.
Apollo’s arrival didn’t go unnoticed. His striking appearance, combined with the legendary top-tier spaceship behind him, drew curious and cautious gazes. Whispers rippled through the crowd.
"Who is that?"
"He arrived in a top-tier ship. Must be from a powerful faction."
Apollo, followed by Serena, ignored the murmurs, his focus sharp. His first objective was clear: gather information about the city’s opportunities and secrets. With a calm stride, he made his way toward the Void mansion branch in the outer region.
Void Mansion is a universe-level force that is famous for its information-gathering ability in the universe. They can buy any kind of information and about anything, given a certain price.
Apollo’s strides were deliberate as he and Serena navigated through the bustling crowd. His towering frame and serene confidence made him seem untouchable, while Serena, walking just behind him, exuded sharp vigilance.
The Void Mansion branch was a sight to behold even in the outer region of Astral Void City. Its sleek, obsidian structure rose like a monolith among the surrounding buildings, pulsating faintly with a mysterious energy.
Its entrance was adorned with unique runes, shimmering faintly with power to ward off any intruders foolish enough to disrupt its sanctity. The mansion’s emblem—a dark, swirling vortex encapsulated within a silver ring—hovered above the building, a constant reminder of its universe-spanning influence.
As Apollo approached, the guards stationed at the entrance straightened, their gazes momentarily flickering with caution. But Serena, beside him, took out a small purple card, which changed the guard’s expression.
The guards then didn’t stop them as they calmly entered the building. The moment they went in, they felt space shift and appeared in an entirely different space.
"Welcome to the Void Mansion," And then suddenly a beautiful lady greeted them with a practised bow, her voice steady despite Apollo’s and Serena’s overwhelming presence. "How may I assist you today?"
Apollo inclined his head slightly, his tone calm but commanding. "I want information regarding opportunities within Astral Void Station. Additionally, I need details on the major forces operating in this region."
