Genius Noble With System
Chapter 147: Landing

Chapter 147: Landing

Apollo stood there, gazing at the distant, unimaginable Tower of Sky, its massive structure looming ominously over the land. The mysterious force field surrounding it was considered impenetrable, even by the combined strength of the ten Hegemon forces of the Eastern Continent.

A mixture of curiosity and uneasiness welled within him as he pondered the true nature of the tower. Who could have created such an unimaginable structure, and for what purpose? Was it truly a place of unimaginable treasures and inheritances, or did it harbour something far more sinister? These questions swirled in his mind as he awaited the moment when the truth would be revealed upon entering it.

They strolled around the bustling area, which was filled with vendors and stores selling all kinds of items. Merchants, ever eager to seize an opportunity, had set up shop to cater to the diverse crowd.

But as he walked around, the more he felt surprised. What had initially seemed like a simple market turned out to be one of the best Apollo had ever seen, as he quickly understood that people from all over the Eastern Continent had gathered here. Items that were typically rare and difficult to find were now available in abundance.

Thanks to his strong spirit, Apollo could sense more than most others. He felt the presence of many powerful auras emanating from the shops and vendors. Some of these individuals might be saints or even stronger beings.

It amazed him to realise that such powerful figures had also opened shops, offering incredibly valuable items. In any other setting, these goods would have shocked the entire kingdom, but here, they were displayed as if in a wholesale market.

He didn’t need anything as he had a system where he could buy various skills and potions that were hard to see outside even in places like this. But for others, this market was very interesting, and they bought quite a lot, even spending almost the money that they saved in their lifetimes.

They eventually found a place to stay, knowing that tomorrow was the day of the opening, as mentioned by the mysterious voice.

Throughout the night, Sky Ships continued to arrive, and the number of people swelled. By early morning, the atmosphere had shifted noticeably. The tension and anxiousness were palpable in the air as everyone emerged from their accommodations.

The entire area, spanning thousands of miles and filled with millions of people, was eerily silent. It seemed as though no one was in the mood to speak. Instead, they waited in tense anticipation, all eyes fixed on the towering structure before them. Time seemed to crawl by as the anxiety grew, each moment thick with expectation.

Then, suddenly—Boom!

Finally, the movement appeared on the Tower of Sky. It burst out with a mysterious and powerful energy that sent shockwaves rippling across the landscape for thousands of miles.

Zoom... Zoom...

Slowly, the force field barrier surrounding the tower began to tremble, its once impenetrable defences starting to recede backwards. The air crackled with energy as the immense power of the tower was revealed, and the crowd could feel the monumental shift as the force field barrier gave way.

Suddenly, the sky darkened as if a storm had rolled in, but there were no clouds—only an overwhelming presence that made the ground tremble. And the mysterious Oni-like figure with white, pale skin appeared in the sky, whose aura was unfathomable, making millions of people present here difficult to breathe.

Many dropped to their knees, unable to withstand the sheer pressure of its presence. Apollo could feel his breathing becoming laboured, and his heart pounded in his chest as he fought to remain standing.

This Oni-like figure was unlike anything he had ever encountered. Its power was beyond comprehension, and its mere existence seemed to defy the natural order like they weren’t from the same world.

The figure slowly scanned the crowd, its eyes piercing through the hearts and minds of people as if searching for something—or someone. When it spoke, its voice was deep and resonant, shaking the very earth beneath them.

"The Tower of Sky opens only to those who are worthy. It had everything you all desired. So step forward if you dare, but know that those who enter may never return."

With those ominous words, the figure raised its hand, and the ground around the base of the tower began to glow with a fiery light. Countless Runes, ancient and indecipherable, appeared on the surface of the tower, each one radiating mysterious power. The force field that had protected the tower for so long fully receded, leaving the entrance open and unguarded.

Slowly, a large mysterious gate like a gate of heaven opened that seemed to lead to an unknown place within the tower; with that, the mighty Oni-like figure disappeared as suddenly as it had appeared, leaving only the open Tower of Sky and the promise of untold secrets within.

The silence was shattered as the crowd erupted into a frenzy. Some rushed forward, eager to be among the first to enter, while others hesitated, the fear of the unknown holding them back.

Apollo remained with his master and the others from the Rrioweth kingdom. Similar situation for other forces as they were going to enter together with their people as they didn’t know what they would face on the other side.

Their group was led by Grandmaster Idris, as he was the strongest and had the highest prestige among them.

Grandmaster Idris composed and scanned the frenzied crowd with a calm, calculating gaze. "We move together," he instructed, his voice carrying the weight of authority and experience. "No one knows what we’ll encounter on the other side. Stay close, and be ready for anything."

The others from their group nodded in agreement, their expressions reflecting their determination and readiness. They were all seasoned warriors, mages, or something else; each had their strengths.

As they moved forward, the ground beneath their feet seemed to pulse with energy, and the air was thick with an overwhelming sense of anticipation.

The entrance, which looked like a portal, loomed ahead of them, a swirling vortex of light and shadow, beckoning them to step into the unknown. One after another, the various forces or individuals were stepping into that mysterious portal.

Apollo glanced at his master, who gave him a reassuring nod. With that silent exchange, Apollo took a deep breath and stepped forward, passing through the portal alongside his master and their comrades.

The moment he crossed the threshold and stepped in, he felt a strange sensation, as if he were being pulled through space and time. The world around him disappeared, and for a brief moment, he felt weightless, untethered from reality.

"What the Fuck!"

When his vision cleared, he seemed to have entered another world with its own heaven and earth, and he was falling from the sky at unimaginable speed like a shooting star. And he also seemed to be alone; no other person was falling with him.

"This shitty portal—couldn’t it have just transported me to a safe place instead of dropping me in the middle of the sky?"

He cursed in annoyance as he continued to fall, even burning some of his clothes due to friction but he wasn’t afraid. Just before he was about to hit the ground, two breathtaking wings of wind suddenly appeared behind him, stopping his descent and allowing him to land safely.

Apollo landed without trouble, but he couldn’t say the same for others. If they were all teleported to the middle of the sky like he was, many casualties might occur even before they landed in this new place.

After that, he didn’t think more, as it was not his concern to think about others or how many survive; only how he would survive here matters.

He looked at the place where he landed, which looked like usual grassland, nothing different from the outside world. Here, he can see the vast blue sky, the sun, and the majestic land; he couldn’t believe it was within the tower.

Even the laws felt real, just like outside. He calmed his mind and tried to sense the law of ice, but just as he felt deeper and deeper, he felt the difference.

Overall, it wasn’t much different from the Heaven and Earth Law of Rion, but he sensed that the laws here seemed more unstable and a bit harder to control. If the laws of Rion were like tamed beasts, then the laws here were wild, ferocious, and out of control.

However, this also made the attacks powered by various laws more potent and destructive.

He didn’t notice any other differences as he checked his strength, feeling neither suppressed nor encountering any problems using them.

Since there isn’t any problem, let’s go and see what this weird world is about," Apollo murmured as he decided to move ahead. To learn more, he needed to find someone or something. He also needed to be careful, as the people here might not be welcoming, and he could even encounter other warriors from the Eastern Continent.

With that in mind, he set off on his new adventure in this unknown world.
