Chapter 146: Three Grandmasters of Rrioweth
As the Sky Ship set off, the atmosphere among the passengers became more settled. Apollo, Master Aaron, and the Pussy King made their way to the Main Dining Hall, where the kingdom’s most influential figures had gathered.
Their arrival didn’t go unnoticed, as their reputations preceded them, especially Master Aaron, one of the only four fourth-rank Grandmasters under the age of hundred on board, marking him as a key figure in the journey ahead.
Many quickly came to them to have a conversation; they even noticed the weird cat that pulled the hearts of young noble maidens from various noble clans.
"Let’s go meet the other grandmaster." After saying this, Master Aaron led him to the other three grandmasters.
They moved towards a section of the hall where the other three fourth-rank Grandmasters were gathered. Each of these figures exuded an aura of immense power, their presence commanding respect even in a room filled with powerful individuals.
The first among them was a handsome guy who had the aura of a king and excluded the royal charm filled with power. He had an uncanny similarity with King Leonidas. He is the younger brother of the current king, Battle maniac Idris.
The second one among the three was the only female grandmaster among them. She had long, flowing black hair, and dressed in elegant robes that seemed to shimmer with an ethereal light. She was Grandmaster Lysandra, a powerful warrior specialising in the Law of Water.
The third was a burly man with a broad chest and a booming voice, his presence larger than life. His laughter echoed through the hall as he conversed with a group of nobles while drinking alcohol and not caring about anything. This was Grandmaster Varek, a master of the Law of Earth who is famous for his drinking habits.
Among the three, the strongest naturally was Battle Maniac Idris; from the nickname he was given, it can be seen how aggressive he is, although his face doesn’t show that.
Even his master, who rarely offers praise, acknowledged him as the strongest in their generation. It was said that he reached the peak of the fourth rank a decade ago, when he was in his sixties, a testament to his extraordinary talent. He also had a reputation as a battle maniac, known for his formidable combat prowess, which only added to his legend.
Since he was already at the peak of fourth rank decades ago, now he might be even stronger and might have touched the mystery of the saint realm. With such strength, he should be among the top even looking at the entire eastern continent.
As Aaron approached, the three Grandmasters turned their attention to him, their expressions shifting to one of respect.
"Aaron, it’s been a long time," Grandmaster Idris greeted with a nod. "I see you’ve brought your disciple; that seems to be famous now."
Aaron smiled. "Indeed, it’s good to see you all. And yes, this is my disciple, Apollo. He’ll be joining us."
The three Grandmasters glanced Apollo with interest and were quite surprised as Aaron was taking his disciple with him to this dangerous and unknown tower of Sky, but they didn’t say anything.
"So this is the famous Apollo," Lysandra said softly. "I’ve heard much about you."
She was the only one who was easier to approach and have contact with others, while the other two were more eccentric, as they didn’t seem to care much about outside. Grandmaster Idris was a battle maniac, so he only cared about fighting, and Varek only liked drinking and sleeping.
If this wasn’t a major event, they might not even bother to come. Master Aaron had already known them and was quite close to them as they belonged to the same generation.
The conversation flowed easily among them, talking and discussing what they expected after their arrival.
As the evening wore on, the Sky Ship continued its journey through the skies, the distant Tower of Sky looming ever closer on the horizon.
Time passed as the Sky Ship continued its journey, and during this period, Apollo spent only a few hours each day training or meditating. The rest of his time was occupied with meeting others who were also heading to the Tower of Sky.
Many of those on board would not be entering the tower themselves. They were travelling to broaden their horizons and witness an event that might not occur again for ten thousand years, as all the powerful forces from the eastern continent would be gathered in one place.
This time, the ten hegemon forces did not ban anyone from coming. They realised it would be nearly impossible to prevent the entire continent from attending, and more importantly, they had no idea what was inside the tower or what would happen. It was wiser for everyone to gather and face the unknown together.
It was like if we die, then why not take everyone with them? So they didn’t stop any force from coming.
Apollo met many young masters aboard the Sky Ship, including his old acquaintances, the Ninth Prince and Seraphina. However, they weren’t planning to enter the Tower of Sky. Although both had reached the second-rank limit-breaker realm in these three years, their strength was insignificant compared to the famous geniuses under the age of one hundred who had already made their names long ago.
Among the people from their Rrioweth Kingdom who were going to enter the Tower of Sky, apart from the four Grandmasters, he also noticed a few interesting individuals whose strength was decent.
Like the other six members from the top ten strongest of his master’s generation, they were all under one hundred years of age and had reached the peak of the third rank, with a small chance they might break through.
They all had grasped some form of law, elevating their strength above that of other third-rank masters—similar to the Fist King he had encountered before. With their understanding of the law, they might even be able to hold their own against some ordinary Grandmasters.
There was also a swordsman named Darius who seemed to not belong to the noble faction but was a wandering warrior; he also seemed to have reached the peak of third rank and understood Sword Aura.
In total, there were more than one hundred and fifty people with strength of third rank or above, all under the age of one hundred, who came from their kingdom.
Days passed swiftly aboard the Sky Ship, and after nearly ten days of travel, the anticipation reached its peak as the warriors finally caught sight of their destination. From afar, they could see the colossal Tower of Sky, an awe-inspiring structure that seemed to pierce the heavens themselves.
The sheer size of the tower left everyone in stunned silence; its presence was radiating an ancient and overwhelming aura.
As the Sky Ship approached, the tower’s details became more defined, revealing intricate runic patterns and mysterious symbols etched into its surface. The closer they got, the more they felt a mixture of excitement and worry. This was the place that had drawn the attention of the entire continent, the place where new legends would be born or shattered.
They also started to notice other ships from different corners of the eastern continent approaching the tower.
They saw hundreds, if not thousands, of Sky Ships in the sky like them. Apollo also looked at the spectacular scene with awe as the sky filled with ships, making it look like some sci-fi battle scene.
"We are going to land, so be ready and be careful. And no fights are allowed after landing," a powerful yet majestic voice echoed throughout the Sky Ship.
"This isn’t the voice of Saint Marcus?" Master Aaron, feeling a bit surprised, asked, standing beside Apollo and the other three Grandmasters.
"Hmmm. In addition to Saint Marcus, two other Saints have also come," Idris replied. As a member of the royal family, he naturally knew who the voice belonged to and who else had come for their protection, given that all the people on the ship were considered the future of their kingdom.
Apollo, standing there, was surprised to hear that the Kingdom of Rrioweth had sent three Saints. From the expressions of Master Aaron and the other Grandmasters, it was also clear that Saint Marcus would not be an ordinary Saint.
A thousand miles away from the force barrier, their ship slowly descended and landed alongside many other ships.
As everyone disembarked, they saw thousands of Sky Ships, each adorned with different flags and symbols, parked beside them. Countless warriors emerged from these ships, making the air heavy with the presence of so many powerful individuals.
Looking at this, Apollo couldn’t help but sigh. Meeting a Third-Rank Master had once been a rare and difficult experience, even in the capital. Now, however, he couldn’t even count how many such warriors were strolling around. Even fourth-rank grandmasters and Master Mages were visible everywhere, adding to the overwhelming atmosphere.
The more he looked, the more he was amazed. The place resembled a well-planned city, countless times larger than the capital and even many times bigger than Frostheld.
He could see vast buildings and a thriving environment all around him. It seemed almost unbelievable that just three years ago, this had been a deserted place with no sign of life for hundreds of thousands of miles.
