Chapter 63: Race Against Time (1)

As he ran across the octopus’s body, he went from the left to the right side of the room. In the area where he was now, the room was about 70 meters wide.

Considering that the octopus was about 20 to 24 meters long and approximately 30 meters wide at the main part of its body, Elliot didn’t need to get off this colossal body to do what he wanted to do.

He looked up.

The construction of this room had certain classic features from ancient times. They were like concrete bars arranged between the walls and the ceiling, giving the impression that they supported the ceiling.

These were perfect arrangements for his current situation.

So, he jumped as high as he could. He ignored the rat inside and focused on his goblin to summon it onto these bars: "Destroy them and throw them here!" he shouted.

The bars were so high that if he didn’t jump, he wouldn’t have been able to pull the goblin up, but it managed to fall right where he needed it to and seemed to understand Elliot’s thoughts perfectly.

Meanwhile, Elliot fell back onto the octopus’s body, but was shocked to see one of the tentacles heading straight for him at full speed, along with huge amounts of poison diluted in water.

"Shit, that’s right, it still has two more."

Hurriedly, he lunged to the side, trying to dodge it, but in the process, he realized he didn’t have enough time or speed. It was a powerful and fast attack that would likely cause him to retreat from his power, forcing him to take all the poison into his body.

It could kill him.

He stared ahead fiercely. "Almost everything can kill me since I entered this forest. Do you think you’re any different?!" He roared and quickly raised his right hand. Then he summoned the rat right in front of him. At the same time, the sword resting in his left hand shot forward.

It hadn’t even left his hand when both the tentacle and the poison were already upon them.

*BOOOM*

The explosion engulfed them, with the rat resisting all the poison on itself and the sword striking the tentacle from the front.

But the force of the octopus’s frontal charge was far superior to Elliot’s total strength, so after the first explosion, both the sword and the rat were brutally pushed back.

Elliot didn’t have time to escape. As soon as he threw the sword, he had to brace himself for the impact with his body and a powerful punch flying toward him.

He suddenly began to be pushed backward, forcing him to plant his feet firmly on the enormous body of the octopus.

"AGHHHH!" A roar came out of his mouth, and he dug his nails and fingers into the octopus’s tentacle, trying to hold on tightly to resist the onslaught.

His rat had long since been sent crashing into the wall, and his sword had been stuck behind him. So he was alone.

Summoning strength from nowhere, he managed to resist the impact a little.

Even so, this was not land, much less something solid or particularly large, so he did not have enough time to resist the thrust with pure friction.

His body quickly flew out of the octopus’s body and was slammed against the wall on the right in seconds.

"BUAGH!"

His blood came out like a jet from his mouth, seeing several of his bones broken by the impact of something so powerful. It was the first time he had been hit so hard; the previous times he had managed to dodge it just in time, so the pain was unbearable. But he had clung so tightly to the tentacle that, despite the pain and weakness of his body, he was still holding on to it.

"Elliot!" Jenna immediately tried to break free from the six tentacles she was fighting against, keeping the destroyed ones at bay.

"DON’T GET DISTRACTED!" Elliot shouted quickly.

Jenna then stopped. ’Is there a way out of this?’

At that moment, she saw a new tentacle pass before her, heading towards Elliot.

It was the last of the octopus’ tentacles, and its attack caught her off guard, so she didn’t have time to get close to it.

"LOOK OUT!" Even though she didn’t have time, she tried to run, but in doing so, she forgot that she was also fighting several others, so her body was hit by one of them and knocked off course...

From the moment he was attacked by the first tentacle, Elliot knew a second one would attack him, so he kept his mind steady and his eyes forward at all times.

When he saw it appear, he knew he had to act...

’I don’t think I can withstand the cumulative force of two tentacles...’ he thought.

It was obvious.

His vitality was barely at 20 points after raising all the points he had earned lately. But just the attack power of one of these was over 60 points, possibly.

The cumulative force of a second attack would break every bone in his body. Even the first impact had only been withstood thanks to the elasticity of these tentacles, which had mitigated the blow somewhat, but several bones in his body had still been broken. How could he withstand a second one?

That’s why he had to dodge it.

That’s why he gave him another order. "Run toward the incoming tentacle, try to stop it as much as you can!" He made sure to shout so that the rat wouldn’t hesitate and would do it immediately.

The rat understood. It immediately focused on running toward the tentacle to face the other one.

At the same time, Elliot began to push against the tentacle that was pushing him against the wall and tried to break free. It was too strong, but Elliot’s strength was no longer what it had been before.

Although it hadn’t risen that much, it was now at 35 points, more than half the strength he estimated each tentacle had. The problem was that the octopus couldn’t keep pushing against him indefinitely, with Jenna fighting to destroy the others on one side and pushing another tentacle on the other.

As long as he could push hard enough and pull his body upward, he could get out.

The question was, could he do it in time?
