Chapter 93: The Plan
Chapter 93: The Plan
Time passed, and the feast had finally concluded. Everyone just woke up and now gathered in the middle of the bonfire, sitting with the colossal log severed in the half. They did not ask Lucy to create a comfortable chair as they wanted to feel the natures’ vibes.
Qwanisha and Max sat beside each other in one log, Lucy sat with Aqua in another log, Griffin and Kaiju sat in one log, with Little Gorilla and Snow sitting beside him, and Zephyr and Ember accompanied Faith in one log. Kaiju haven’t given them the gift yet and Lucy did not tell them about it. Of course, Qwanisha and others noticed her earring and complimented her.
Kaiju wanted to give them the gifts as soon as possible but he was curious about the plan mentioned by Griffin, which was about to be discussed with Qwanisha, leading to the current situation.
Qwanisha broke the silence and said, "I have trained Kaiju and his pets to work alone."
Kaiju was stunned. He only noticed that the battle formation indeed worked with Snow and Little Gorilla, others were out of the equation. Does that mean he would be raiding the burg with Snow and Little Gorilla alone?
Qwanisha stared at him, an, as though hearing his thoughts, smiled, saying, "That’s right, Kaiju. I believe, like Griffin, you can raid the burg in one area alone."
Qwanisha then took out an ordinary long arrow and drew on the soil.
"At first, since there were seven treasures, I decided that me, Max, and Faith would gather two, Lucy and Griffin can try to gather another while working in solitary, while Kaiju and his beasts would snatch one. Two for us, possibly two each for Lucy and Griffin, and one for Kaiju equaled seven. However, everything changed with the sudden announcement of the Trial."
Qwanisha finally finished her drawing and turned to them. "There will be no changes. Kaiju, if you sense another treasure, try to get it."
Kaiju nodded solemnly.
"Anyway, before I proceed to the main plan, has anyone gotten rid of the other higher races listening to us?"

Not far from Kaiju and Griffin, in the west direction, werewolves gathered in a rather humorous manner. After all, most of them were sleeping–three brown werewolves were lazing on the colossal branch, while two grey werewolves were leaning their back at the enormous trunk below.
While lazing at the branch in the crown of the gargantuan tree was a blue werewolf, whistling from time to time.
With their exceptional hearing sense, they were listening to the conversation with Qwanisha and others. However, when they heard what Qwanisha said before silence ensued, their instinct screamed in danger and they simultaneously sat up, abruptly opening their eyes.
***
Not far from Qwanisha, when she said the last sentence, the shadow in the gargantuan tree quivered. It suddenly swirled and manifested to a fairy of human size, her adorable face turned ugly. She glared at Qwanisha and disappeared into the shadows.
At the same time, an arrow imbued with a light element pinned her, restraining her movement. She screamed in agony.
***
Not far from Lucy, the witch, who Kaiju had eaten her apple, was staring at them with grave countenance. Her expression dropped massively when she heard what Qwanisha said.
She guffawed non-stopped until she abruptly halted, and waved her wooden staff, creating a wall of curses, screaming in agony, to block the incoming projectiles.

In the west, Infernals were leaning their body in leisure against the colossal trunk that can resist their fire. In total, there were two red infernals, two blue infernals, and one violet infernal–their current leader.
They were rather a bit closer at Faith, seemingly not caring if the latter was aware of their presence. Unlike the werewolves, they did not have exceptional hearing, so they had to be, at least, fifty meters closer to them.
Of course, they were wary of the humans because, for some reason, they threatened them. Nevertheless, they only shrugged, believing the humans present was the best the human race could produce, while even theirs were back at their camp, waiting for their report.
When they heard what Qwanisha had said, they were furious. They revealed their presence, but what welcomed them was a pillar of light, enveloping them one by one.

When Kaiju heard the question, he was taken aback. However, he was quick, he instantly activated his Emotionless skill. He then swept his eyes and saw Qwanisha made her move, standing up, pulling the longbow from her back and nocked the arrow in an instant.
A light arrow manifested and disappeared, a gust of wind burst forth suddenly, barely closing his eyes. However, Kaiju knew it wasn’t produced by the light arrow alone. He turned to his right and saw Griffin had disappeared.
He might have made his move already. Kaiju was at a loss for what to do next, turning his head at Lucy and spotting her empty presence. She must have made her move already. Kaiju thought.
Griffin can take care of the other higher races, as long as it is not the strongest. I doubt there is. I guess I can only wait and see what to do. Kaiju had decided.
Qwanisha vanished, leaving behind Kaiju, his pets, Zephyr and Ember who was beside Faith, and Max.
Kaiju was quiet, not even uttering a single word when he met Max’s gaze. Faith suddenly mumbled and was clasping her hands, praying.
Kaiju sensed a light mana concentrating not far from Faith. Since his primary mana was shadow, he was more sensitive to the elemental mana that countered his. He turned his head and was taken aback to spot the infernals being enveloped by the pillar of light one by one.
That was then, he clearly heard what Faith had said after uttering foreign language.
"Divine Invocation."
The hellfire was naturally the nemesis of the light. Faith’s Divine Invocation released a pillar of light, effective for his teammates and enemies–the former being healed, while the latter was being punished as though being smitten by it.
Kaiju instantly understood that under the Divine Invocation, the infernals would be weakened unless they released their concentrated hellfire that could negate it. However, Kaiju doubted it, for Faith was not easy to topple with.
Without hesitation, he blinked, arrived behind the violet infernal, and plunged the Frostfang dagger, instantly ending his life before he could awaken his bloodline.
