Chapter 77: Creation Mage

"Master, what kind of person do I need to look out and follow for?" Aqua’s tone tingled with excitement.

Kaiju peeked behind and smiled. He petted Snow’s head and replied, "You should ask Snow, she was her teacher."

However, Snow did not want to communicate with Aqua. Since Kaiju initiated a conversation with her, she decided to continue it.

She said, "Master, I think the chances of teacher Lucy being the woman Herforao referred to is higher, she might just be acting. After all, we can’t be wrong about what we feel from her."

Kaiju nodded, deeply certain by their assumption, as well. "Isn’t she a Creation Mage? Can you explain the difference between an ordinary mage and a creation mage, Snow?"

Snow’s snowflakes eyes sparkled. "We, ordinary mage, Master, controlled the already existing element. For instance, we control the earth around us if we have an affinity with the earth. Although there is no ice, I possess a skill, where bounded by a system, to chant a magic spell to create and then control it. Hence, we are limited by the skill we learned from the system to create a magic spell.

Creation Mage creates from their imagination and then manipulates them. They are only restricted by their visualization, creativity, and knowledge. They are not confined to existing elements, which gives them a broader range of possibilities, but it requires exceptional skill in both creation and control."

Kaiju nodded. "From what I know, Creation Mages are divided, some can only create infrastructure, some focused on illusion... The biggest reason is they can’t be versatile since a single topic can cover endless branches of ideas."

Snow was in awe of her master’s knowledge as she nodded frantically. "That is true, Master, but I’m baffled by your claim."

"That they can’t be versatile?" Kaiju furrowed his eyebrows.

"Yes, because teacher Lucy is versatile."

Kaiju’s eyes widened and then contemplated. "She can indeed build things like the dining table and you said she can summon elemental magic, as well. Though, that is versatile, at most, it can be called dual creation magic or whatever it is called."

Snow shook her head vigorously and said, "You underestimate her, Master. Teacher Lucy is versatile simply because she can summon elemental creatures, conjure elemental spells, induce illusions, and even possess her own custom spells!"

"How is that possible?" Kaiju was taken aback.

"I can’t believe it either, Master." Snow shook her head. "I was surprised, too. It just showed her exceptional talent in her visualization, creativity, and knowledge."

"Does it also contribute to her mastery relating to the creation mage?"

"She indeed said that to me before." Snow’s eyes rolled upward, tilting her head sideways, contemplating. "However, Master, even mastery still depends on the owner, right? I guess, Lucy’s way as a creation mage focused on being versatile, so it supported her style."

"I see." Kaiju then recalled something. "Snow, your Ice-Poison Magic Mastery is still common grade, right? How come you learned rare grade skills, yet your mastery still has not ascended to advance?"

Snow sighed in defeat. "I also don’t know, Master, but I have reached the bottleneck long ago. To be honest, it is already surprising that I progress quickly. Perhaps, it all contributes to teacher Lucy’s guidance, so give me more time."

Kaiju chuckled. "Don’t be pressured, Snow. You always have enough time."

"But, I think, once your mastery ascends to advance, it might just be more passive."

Snow nodded. "It will be, Master, compared to yours."

"Snow." Kaiju’s tone suddenly turned grave, startling Snow.

"What is it, Master?"

"What if there will be a time where you fight against Lucy, will you do it?"

"I don’t think I can win." Snow giggled. "But, for the sake of your survival, I can die for you."

Kaiju rolled his eyes. "If ever there is a time you will fight her, Snow, I don’t think you will be fighting the Lucy you know."

"That is what I also assume. That is why I can fight her without worrying about my conscience." Snow chortled. "Of course, that is if I can win."

Aqua, who had been keeping quiet all the time, failed to restrain the urge to intervene. "So, what does this Lucy look like?"

Snow glared at him. How could you disturb our lovely conversation? What depressed Snow was Aqua seemed to be ignorant about her rage. Please read between the lines, will you?

Kaiju could perceive Snow’s exasperation, so he answered Aqua, "Lucy, from what I know about her, she is shy, gullible, and kind, so you don’t have to worry about communicating with her since you are extroverted. Snow lowered her head, receiving Kaiju’s genuine scolding. It indeed appeared her temperament was getting worse lately and her master only reminded her about it. Kaiju was not once sorry and continued to converse with Aqua.

"That is what you need to find out. Don’t forget my instructions, alright? Don’t make your suspicions too obvious."

Aqua nodded frantically. He tilted his head upward, moved his lips upward, and boasted, "You can count on me, Master!"

"If she is really what Master and you speculated, what will you do?" Ember asked.

Kaiju was stunned. Yeah, what will we–, no, I do? He knew Herforao would be useless on this revelation. He suddenly recalled his conversation with Heforao and bitterly smiled.

"I guess, I just have to be careful of her. Herforao warned me not to interact with that woman, so, if our assumption turns out to be correct, I will prepare for the moment to fight her."

"I see. Will Master fight with you?"

"He can’t." Kaiju shook his head.

"I will fight on his stead, then." Kaiju smiled, glanced at him, and nodded.

"That is–"

"Halt."

An unfamiliar voice reverberated in front, causing Kaiju and others to be frozen on the spot.
