Chapter 64: I Want To Tame Him

It did not take long for Kaiju to learn Blink. It replaced the Swift Dash skill and altered the Common grade to Rare. Kaiju got addicted to utilizing blink for an hour.

{Blink (Rare Grade)

A movement skill that utilizes mana, allowing you to arrive in the desired location without physically travelling in the space between. If you blink in the area covered with obstacles, you would blink near the free space.

Mana Cost: 5 mana points for each meter.}

The longer the distance to blink, the higher the mana cost. Furthermore, even if Kaiju wanted to travel in the location inside of the physical object, he would directly be teleported in the free space area outside of the physical object. Although utilizing Blink was costly, Kaiju felt like using it from time to time was a must, especially since he was an assassin.

Little Gorilla and Snow joined him. An hour later, they were now sitting in a round position and were discussing through telepathy. This way, it would prevent any spy from obtaining information about their conversation.

"Are you sure, Master? He might get angry," said Snow in a worried tone.

"I do not think so." Kaiju shook his head. "I have been wondering about our conversation before. He told me to search for his main body in the Tower and interact with him. That means, he is just nothing but a clone created by the Tower for this Hellish Trial alone. If this Trial is completed, that means he will perish."

He paused for a while and continued, "I don’t know his motives but the chances of him not doing anything the whole ordeal is higher. Why not involve him in this trial, then?"

Snow said, "That is not what you said earlier. You were planning to tame him."

"Of course, Snow. How can I let him be our ally without taming him? I will just tame him, not my pet. That is impossible.

Wait! Tame might be an understatement, I just want to persuade him to help us complete the Trial."

Kaiju then recalled the conversation he had with the Overlord beast. Although he was unpleasant to converse with, Kaiju could still remember his words. He asked, "Do you know which woman the Overlord beast was referring to? It surely is not Qwanisha, right? After all, the woman he feared seemed to be stronger than an Overlord rank."

"I heard that woman’s voice, Master," replied Little Gorilla hastily. "But I did not see her." His face sank.

Kaiju smiled and shook his head. "That woman is just too powerful. He might have knocked you out before you managed to see her. That is definitely not Qwanisha, was it Lucy, then?"

Little Gorilla shook his head. "That woman’s voice is more mature and seductive compared to Big Sister Lucy."

Kaiju nodded. "I see. It must be another human who does not want to interact with Qwanisha and others. I should warn them about this."

Kaiju stood up and Little Gorilla and Snow soon leapt on his shoulders as they disappeared into the Overlord beast’s direction.

At first, Kaiju was lost in which direction he found the Overlord beast. However, he relied on Snow’s senses to search for her kin and finally landed on the familiar place a day later. He did not even arrive near the enormous treasured tree yet, and the Overlord beast already took the initiative to converse with him.

’It’s within expectation, I guess.’ Kaiju thought.

"Yes. After I woke up, I found my fellow humans. Thanks to you."

Since Qwanisha did not talk about an Overlord rank beast when he asked her where she found him, the Overlord rank beast must have obviously ordered his servant to deliver him near where he could be found.

"No, that was not my doing, that woman brought you away. Did you not see her?"

"Woman?" Kaiju’s eyebrows furrowed. "Is her skin dark-tanned?"

"So, she abandoned you. That woman is really wicked. I expected it would happen. What is her motive for doing that to you? Did you turn out to be as useful as she expected? Ah, by the way, human, why have you changed so much? Why do I feel like you are not bad?"

Snow hissed. "Uncle, hold your horses, will you not? Can you not stop your tongue from babbling at all?" Snow’s irritated tone echoed as silence ensued.

Kaiju was taken aback, failing to cover Snow’s mouth in time.

He was about to apologize to the Overlord beast on her stead, when the Overlord beast said, "You, niece, have actually nurtured your bloodline awakening. If you awakened it to the fullest, you will be terrifying, even to the early Overlord rank beast. With that, I have my respect for you."

This time, Kaiju covered Snow’s mouth when the Overlord beast yapped once again. Kaiju laughed awkwardly and said, "Can I meet you in person, Overlord? It’s kind of awkward talking with nothing but air here."

Kaiju swept his gaze and spotted not a single snake around. They were obviously still a bit far from the enormous tree filled with treasure and the Overlord beast can actually communicate with them that far. It conveyed his immense mana, covering a mile radius.

’Overlord beasts or monsters and Pseudo Rank players are indeed a leader of their own packs.’

"Alright. I don’t mind meeting you in person, human. After all, your affinity with beasts seems to have increased a lot."

Kaiju heaved a sigh of relief. Suddenly, the same corrupted rank snake, who brought them the fruit Snow ate to awaken her bloodline appeared, hissing at him. If Kaiju recalled correctly, the same corrupted snake detested him, yet Kaiju felt like the snake was the one who wanted to guide them towards their master.

Snow hissed at him, and the latter lowered his head, hissing in a low voice.

Kaiju heard their conversation.

"You better not try to do anything funny to my master!"

"There is no way I’m thinking that way, Young Lady. I don’t dislike your master."

"You better be!" Snow snorted.

Kaiju smiled and followed the corrupted rank snake inside the enormous tree.
