Chapter 45: No Rest Training

Chapter 45: No Rest Training

"Well, we will begin with our Hunter’s Anchor." Qwanisha glanced at Little Gorilla and frowned. He did not dismiss the Zealot’s Protection skill yet. She said, "Let’s leave this place first."

Kaiju nodded. He followed Qwanisha to a more secluded place with Snow and Little Gorilla on his shoulders. Once they settled, Qwanisha said, "Hunter’s Anchor, simply put, they anchor the enemies to their zone. The enemies must stay put in the zone they established. Naturally, they would try to leave from that zone, but with the Hunter’s Flame and Hunter’s Fang, the enemies would slowly realize they were trapped."

Kaiju’s eyes sparkled in excitement. The battle formation was wicked by its nature, instilling more psychological impact to the enemies. Kaiju slowly grasped it. Of course, he still needed Qwanisha to continue explaining.

"Furthermore, the zone of control by Little Gorilla can also be the safe zone of Snow, especially his back. However, Snow still has to maneuver on the side of the enemy lines, that is why, it is important for Little Gorilla to take the aggro forcefully, taunting the enemy. If the enemy is smart, Little Gorilla could only provide support through his spells to protect Snow like Zealot’s Protection.

While you... your very role is important."

Qwanisha purposely turned silent, observing Kaiju’s reaction. Kaiju, on the other hand, decided to share his ideas, nodding.

"I understand. I’m the silent threat. I create a no-go area in some part of the zone of control. I will be eliminating key targets, mages, archers, healers, simply put, I’ll be targeting the backline, forcing the frontline to focus their attention on me. However, their attention was already divided... How cruel."

Kaiju sighed. He liked the battle formation very much, already imagining themselves pinning down the enemy. However, there was no such a thing as perfect, there must be cons, too. Hence, he wanted to know about it already so he could come up with more alternatives to cover its flaws.

"You got it." Qwanisha nodded. "Obviously, you understand its flaws, too. As always, it won’t work on strong and solid foundation enemies, even more so if there are numerous of them. It would still be very effective on intelligent creatures but if they were smart to be ahead of your move, the Hunter’s Fang, it would affect the entire team. Hence, your role might be easy but since you are the leader, you are the weakness of the battle formation."

Kaiju sighed and nodded. He glanced at Snow and met her blinking innocent, sparkling milky-white eyes and sighed once again. ’This worrywart. I can’t just stop her from worrying about me.’ Kaiju thought to himself, shaking his head in helplessness. Suddenly, he had come to a realization and his eyes flashed with solemnity.

He said with a grave tone, "All I have to do is to become stronger then. Strong enough to scrap that weakness of the battle formation."

Qwanisha was taken aback, smiled, and nodded. "You got it. That’s right. That’s why in these three months, what you aim should be... for your Basic Dagger Mastery to break through and reach Advance."

"Advance..." Kaiju mumbled. Although Griffin claimed that Kaiju’s dagger mastery was reaching advance, Kaiju never felt it yet. Only when he perceived he felt like there was a wall would mean he would only need to break through. However, for now, despite the guidance of Griffin, who possessed an Advance mastery on sword, Kaiju still felt it was a bit far.

Yet, he understood there were three months and the intensity of the training might be greater than what he experienced the last three months. Hence, Kaiju nodded with a determined gaze.

"That’s the spirit!" Qwanisha nodded and smiled. "In these three months, we will be limiting your sleep to two hours and rest... there’s no rest. Endure it Kaiju, we don’t have much time left."

Qwanisha sighed helplessly with a downcast countenance.

Kaiju was stunned. The training would be very intense, indeed. When he was training with Griffin, he had, at least, six hours of sleep, as Griffin emphasized the importance of sleeping after vigorous training. Qwanisha might have understood that, too, but since due to the time pressure, she might have to give up some of his mentality as a case.

Kaiju was greatly shaken. Seeing his reaction, Qwanisha smiled and assured him, "If worst comes to worst. Don’t worry, Kaiju. If you show rapid improvements, your sleeping time might be increased."

Kaiju nodded and sighed. "What do you mean by no rest, by the way?"

"Well. Your routine will be physical training, studying, and training with your pets. The physical training will only focus on dagger training–I will train you for that. During your supposed break, you will be studying about the Hellish Trial, the burg itself, our knowledge up to date and those creatures living inside it. As for the third, there’s no need for explanation."

Kaiju ruminated and grasped it was a very reasonable training routine. However, since even Qwanisha and Max stated they were running out of time, then he had no choice but to expend, perhaps, the entirety of his Luck Points–of course, wisely. He was already thinking about what to buy in the store and how much Luck Points to waste, especially on increasing his attributes.

Kaiju realized during the training with Griffin how important attributes were. The disparity of Griffin and him was also because of attributes, to which Griffin explained that through attributes, his skills were polished, too. Every attribute was important, and that was why it was advisable not to neglect even one attribute just because they had chosen a class.

"Alright." Kaiju was ready. "Can we start now?"

Qwanisha nodded. "We will be training in battle with your pets first. I will be your enemy. You can start... now!"

As soon as Qwanisha said the last word, Kaiju disappeared, leaving behind the Little Gorilla, who already leapt forward to Qwanisha and swung his staff, radiating golden brilliance, coating it with his skills, Radiant Fervor.

{Radiant Fervor

Description: The gorilla channels the divine energy it now serves, imbuing its strikes with radiant power.
