Chapter 39: Little Gorilla’s Changes

After embracing Little Gorilla, feeling him heavier and taller than before, Kaiju pushed him while holding his arm pits.

"T-This..." Kaiju was lost for words, almost believing it was not the Little Gorilla before him.

However, Little Gorilla communicated with him through telepathy - of course, Little Gorilla was uttering a gecker noise - excitedly telling him how he was also thrilled to meet Kaiju. Kaiju could not restrain himself anymore and asked, "H-How have you been, Little Gorilla? You have changed so much."

"Right?" Faith’s voice suddenly echoed behind him, startling him. Faith’s golden eyes sparkled while staring at Little Gorilla, "After I converted him, he received the blessings of the God, directly ascending him to the Corrupted Rank, obtaining the elemental affinity of light. Are you interested? You might become awakened after I convert you!"

"No, thanks." Kaiju shook his head frantically, distressing Faith.

Kaiju scrutinized Little Gorilla’s new appearance. If he remembered correctly, Little Gorilla has yellow protruding fangs, three bloodshot eyes, and his fur was raven-black with some markings of scarlet color. His claws were sharp. He behaved mischievously but always knew his limits, conveying his loyalty to Kaiju.

However, the Little Gorilla now has changed even his body framework. He grew taller, he became fatter. Furthermore, his protruding fangs turned white and his previously three bloodshot eyes... turned golden. His third eye was currently closed. His previous raven-black fur became all red scarlet color, with some markings of gold and white, creating a unique design. Furthermore, what was the biggest change was... his sharp, elongated claws disappeared.

Kaiju stared at the bulky, massive hands of Little Gorilla, as he was grasping a staff on his right hand. The staff appeared ordinary–Faith must have bought it from the store. Faith really went to spend money just to give Little Gorilla, causing him to be filled with gratitude. He turned to Faith, still seeing her downcast expression after he rejected her, and bowed.

"I thank you from the bottom of my heart."

Faith’s golden eyes widened and sparkled. He laughed, "It’s nothing. If you really want to thank me and think of returning the owe, you should consider converting-"

"I give you this."

Kaiju handed out an item after buying from a store in a quick manner. It’s a common artifact. Although he wanted to give a Rare grade artifact, he learned from Griffin that obtaining one was difficult and might raise suspicions and greediness from them. Although he trusted them, it did not hurt to be cautious.

Faith was taken aback by the item given by Kaiju. It was a sanctified beads bracelet. Although it was a common grade artifact, it offered an additional increase of intelligence points. What was most striking about it was...

"It’s beautiful..." Faith received it and slid it to her hand, settling on her wrist. The beads contained symbols from her church, perfect for her. She stared at Kaiju and clasped her hands.

Kaiju bowed and closed his eyes, receiving the blessings. Unknown to him, Little Gorilla closed his eyes and clasped his hands, laying the staff on his body and blessed Kaiju. Faith and Little Gorilla shone a dimmed golden light until it faded and they opened their eyes. Kaiju couldn’t feel anything, but he did not mind anyway.

That was not until the Gacha System’s voice echoed inside his mind, startling him awake.

Kaiju was excited to hear he could receive a blessing but his excitement quickly dwindled when he discovered he only received a single Luck Point. He even thought he could use Little Gorilla as a cheat, but it turned out he was instantly disappointed.

However, as he was lost in thought, the Gacha System appeared to not be finished yet.

Kaiju was elated to discover his title elevated. As much as how he wanted to check it quickly. Kaiju had to settle himself first. After he returned to reality, Kaiju then pulled Little Gorilla away from them and chatted with him.

Little Gorilla excitedly recounted what happened, but most were training processes similar to him, aside from the marvelous conversion towards Faith’s religion. Hence, as Kaiju was also itching to check the current status of the Beastmaster title, he ordered the Gacha System to show it in front of him and skimmed its thick wall of texts.
