Gacha Player: My Luck is Multiplied 10x
Chapter 120: Let Them Come

Chapter 120: Let Them Come

Kaiju then analyzed the battle earlier. He was not used to seeing Snow and Little Gorilla struggling in a battle, except against Qwanisha. The main reason for the latter was that they held back, and the constraint of adjusting with each other, especially on a battle formation.

Obviously, with dozens of Crimson Knights, spreading their Mana Aura, Snow and Little Gorilla has experienced its oppressiveness. Thankfully, most of the vampire players were not efficient in controlling their body, much less the Mana Aura.

Perhaps, the biggest advantage they only had was they possessed the body of an Overlord rank monster. It would indeed be difficult for the higher races to defeat them–Kaiju and his pets already struggled when they battled against a non-player Crimson Knights prior to obtaining the treasures.

Kaiju continued to analyze his battle earlier–his decision making, the flaws he noticed that might be good and bad depending on the situation, his coordination with his pets, and many more. Overall, he rated his battle earlier, like how normally his Teacher would after their practice, as "not bad."

It was more like an average rating, which left a bitter taste on Kaiju’s mouth. After all, he knew he was still short in fully capitalizing his current power–maxing out his attributes and wearing two epic-grade artifacts.

To obtain an excellent-grade, or even a perfect one, he could have annihilated the Crimson Knights in ten minutes with just relying on Blink and the passive effect of the advanced dagger mastery.

Of course, Kaiju was not depressed, he was aware he was still adapting and learning. Snow and Little Gorilla gathered around him, feeling weary. They were surprised at how exhausted they were, but only then did they realize the impact of enduring the oppressive effects of the Mana Aura–not just once, but more than twenty of them.

Thankfully, compared to Herforao, the Mana Aura of the Crimson Knights was so unstable that it would disappear if their emotions were disturbed. This was exactly why he admired Kaiju. It might have been part of his plan.

After all, one of the main reasons why the oppressive effects of the many Crimson Knights’ aura did not put them in a dire situation was because they were divided, some were on Snow, and most of them were for their Master.

Their Master bore most of the impact, thus Snow and Little Gorilla recognized his sacrifice.

"Master! You were so strong and cool!" Snow cheered.

Snow and Little Gorilla leapt on his shoulders and Kaiju patted their heads.

He smiled.

"Thanks."

"Master, we were filled with sweat. After you have killed all of the Crimson Knights, we felt so light. Are we the only ones who suffer? Why do you seem so relaxed just like earlier?" Snow asked.

Little Gorilla was curious as well, but he kept his mouth shut.

Kaiju responded, "Well, there is a passive effect of the Ring of the Eternal Night similar to the Mana Aura. Although it was not as strong as a pure mana aura exuded by an Overlord rank monster, it was still able to reduce their oppressive effects. It worked more, especially most of the Crimson Knights were vampire players, straight unawakened before entering the Trial, while some were unintelligent, which their Mana Aura relied on their instinct.

Mana Aura, from what I know, always depends on the intellect. So, I will say this now, we are just lucky that the Crimson Knights were a special case this time. However, despite their quality plummeting, we still have to worry, of course, about their sheer quantity."

He turned around and faced towards the hallway, leading to the heart of the burg. As expected, there were another round of dozens of Crimson Knights, albeit they fell short. Furthermore, the corpses behind Kaiju and his pets affected their mentality, eventually causing Kaiju to instantly annihilate them in less than ten minutes.

Of course, Kaiju was still adamant on his ratings. Although he might have annihilated them in less than ten minutes, the Crimson Knights were disturbed, barely having their concentration on him. Hence, the difficulty decreased.

Even so, depressed as he may seem, Kaiju remained optimistic. The perfectionist side of his–adapted from his Teacher–began to affect his mind. Of course, he knew it was a double-edge sword, so he had to be in control of his mind.

After Kaiju finished killing the Crimson Knights and perceived no more movement coming from the other side of the hallway, he turned around and contemplated.

What should I do with the corpses? Should I waste my Flame Orb on them? I don’t think a common-grade artifact is enough to burn a corpse of Crimson Knight into ashes. However, letting them be would reveal this place, and most of the other higher races might end up taking this hallway and attacking me altogether.

After all, given by the announcement of the Trial, he would not be surprised if the other higher races compromised with each other, proposing to settle their conflict only after they have wiped out the human races.

The probability it would occur was high, convincing Kaiju. However, his worries suddenly subsided as he eventually shrugged.

What’s there to fear? Let them come, then.

***

Finally, Kaiju reached the other side of the long hallway. To his surprise, an open area awaited him. The space was bleak, with towering walls stretching high, and above them, a grand chandelier hung from the ceiling, its brilliance dulled by layers of cobwebs that hindered its illumination.

His gaze swept across the walls, where he spotted familiar openings—identical to those in the hallway he had traversed. Instantly, he understood. This was where he would meet Qwanisha and the others. However, their reunion was unlikely to be pleasant.

Being the first to arrive, Kaiju took a cautious step inside. The moment his foot met the ground, flames erupted atop the torches affixed to the walls. Their sudden ignition did not dazzle him. Instead, his eyes followed as the torches continued to light one after another, illuminating every dark entrance of the hall. And then—another row of torches ahead of him roared to life.

Kaiju’s heart skipped a beat.

The torches were arranged in a ritualistic pattern, revealing a raised platform atop a set of stairs. At its center lay an ancient coffin, surrounded by four torches burning with eerie, blood-red flames. As the flickering light bathed the coffin, its intricate carvings became visible. The inscriptions were written in an unmistakable script—one Kaiju instinctively recognized as vampiric. He wasn’t entirely sure, but a deep certainty settled in his gut.

After all, what other race would a coffin like this belong to, if not the vampires?

It was common knowledge that vampires rested in coffins when they entered hibernation. And if Kaiju’s instincts were correct—if the nagging certainty in his mind was anything to go by—then this coffin could only belong to one being.

Vladislaus.

And if that were true... then Vladislaus himself might still be inside, slumbering.

...

Kaiju was trying to calm down. He felt trepidation just by staring at the coffin, just the aura the coffin was exuding alone suffice to break the effects of the Ring of the Eternal Night. If he already felt that way, what was more to his pets?

"Master, the aura is so strong... Can we even fight it?" Snow slowly spoke, catching her breath every now and then.

Little Gorilla nodded with a concerned expression painted on his face. He glued his eyes on the coffin, seemingly trying to fight the oppressiveness exuded by the coffin.

Kaiju smiled bitterly.

"I guess, Snow, this is the true Hellish Difficulty."

Snow went silent, unable to respond. Similar to Little Gorilla, she was staring at the coffin with an unpleasant expression on her face.

"I think you two can handle the oppressiveness of its bloodline awakening. If it were not for the higher races, we might train your bloodline awakening until you two could activate it for a long period of time."

"Don’t be discouraged, Master." Snow shook her head. "After the battle before, we might be able to extend our bloodline awakening for a minute. In total, it can last for ten minutes–that’s the most we can extend, by the way."

Kaiju nodded solemnly. "And the consequence is severe, right?"

"..." Snow did not respond.

"It will obviously be. But, if we manage to complete the Trial, the Tower might have a way to cure us instantly."

Kaiju nodded. "I guess so."

{You have successfully entered the boss room. Please wait for more participants to arrive. For the Vladislaus to be completely awakened, all of the higher races, one will suffice, must be present.

Please be patient.}

Kaiju heaved a sigh of relief. If Vladislaus awakened now, he would not hesitate but to turn around with his tails between his legs and run away as fast as he could. If he was trapped, then he would accept his fate.

The Tower might be unreasonable as it seems.

{...}

Kaiju then found a wall in the middle of two hallways, keeping him safe from attack on the other side of each hallway, and sat.

"We will have to adapt to the pressure, Snow, Little Gorilla. The Tower just announced Vladislaus will not be awakened unless all of the players arrive. We are at an advantage."

Snow and Little Gorilla heaved a sigh of relief. Kaiju smiled.

Just as he was about to enjoy their presence and was attempting to adapt to the pressure by Vladislaus, the Gacha System, who was usually quiet, reverberated inside his mind.

{Kaiju...}

Kaiju had a bad feeling about this.

{Zephyr... has died, as well.}

"Damn it!" He shouted, uncaring about the presence of Vladislaus and startling his pets. "What did they come across now? For Zephyr and Aqua to die!"

Little Gorilla and Snow gasped in shock.
