Gacha Player: My Luck is Multiplied 10x
Chapter 114: We Own The Skies

Chapter 114: We Own The Skies

Kaiju’s celebration was cut short. He returned his focus to the death of Aqua and sighed. Perhaps, due to the long-term side effects of constantly using the Emotionless skill, he barely felt his heart ache. He also knew that his delayed emotional response might have played a factor in it.

Of course, it did not mean he would not avenge Aqua. Whoever killed him, even if it was Lucy, would not get away with it. Just recalling his interaction with Aqua made him determined to bring justice to his death.

Kaiju was about to say something to his pets, when the Tower’s voice reverberated once again.

{It has been detected that the human race is not complying with the mission requirements. The Tower will not restrict them, welcoming them to elevate the difficulty of their Trial...}

He also heard the mission of the other higher races. He was surprised, but he anticipated it. Nevertheless, based on the Tower’s words, Qwanisha and others might have defeated the Crimson Knights already and had acquired the treasure.

If he was finished, they should be, as well.

For some reason, Kaiju recalled his interaction with Faith. He was a bit suspicious of Faith’s down mood, but he did not dwell on it further when he speculated Faith must be nervous in participating in the Trial.

After all, at any moment, there was a high chance, some of them would die in the process... worst, the human race might be wiped out.

However, after hearing the Tower’s announcement, Kaiju was enlightened somewhat. What if Faith’s gloominess contributed to her special connection with the Angel race. After all, the Angel race and human race were allies, specifically those who followed the same God of the Angel race.

Kaiju would not be surprised if Faith had already promised them to give the treasures to them.

Kaiju’s eyes flashed. What if she will betray us? He soon realized it was an absurd idea and shook his head with a smile. I guess that’s why Faith was so gloomy. She can’t betray the human race, but it seemed she had already betrayed the Angel race now... What will she do?

Kaiju soon realized those worries were left in the future. All the answers he was wanting now would be answered once they met.

Kaiju dwells on the death of the Aqua for a while and he frowned. Lucy... If I meet her and she appears alive and well, there will be something wrong with Aqua’s death. There is a high chance she has something to do with his death.

He soon realized he was now consumed on his overthinking and was abruptly awakened by Snow and Little Gorilla’s intense stare. Earlier, they were staring and growling at the ring–not putting his mind into it–but why were they staring at him intensely now?

Oh, right. We have to decide our next move.

"Little Gorilla, earlier, you stated you have spotted another treasure. Let’s go now."

Little Gorilla nodded.

"There’s no problem. However, my problem Master is that you should be careful next time in dealing with Epic grade artifacts. We can’t afford the same thing to happen."

Kaiju was stunned. He then nodded with a smile. "You’re right."

If the next Epic grade artifact would be a different element but he has a passive resistance towards it, he knew he could not wear it. After all, his passive resistance was only on Rare grade, while the artifact was Epic grade–enough to corrupt his mana network and mana core.

What he did earlier was purely suicide and have only survived out of luck.

Suddenly, the Gacha System’s voice echoed in his mind.

{I have finished calculating the luck points you have gathered earlier, Kaiju. Since it was due to luck you have managed to wear an Epic grade, you have collected 350 luck points.

After it is multiplied ten times, you have 3500 luck points.

Not bad for an exchange, right?}

Kaiju’s eyes lit up and nodded.

’You’re the best, Gacha System!’

{Iyah~}

Kaiju’s face turned comically ugly.

’Huh?!’

{That was not me.}

’Huh?!’

{...}

Kaiju shook his head, trying to forget the strange child-like scream of Gacha System but to no avail. He was forced to distract himself.

"Alright. Let’s go now."

Little Gorilla nodded. He then turned and faced the entrance of Vladislaus castle and headed inside. Kaiju was startled, but then decided to follow Little Gorilla.

He glanced at Snow, as the latter leapt towards his shoulder. However, he caught her frustrated expression. He wanted to ask her, but seeing her acting like she did not want to talk to him, he sighed helplessly.

In the end, he decided to follow Little Gorilla and entered the entrance.

***

There was not only one Crimson Knight, but two. What was worse was that among them was a vampire player.

"So, a human has finally entered the castle. It’s really daring of you to try to attack Vladislaus? Do you not know your limits?"

Kaiju smirked. He took out his daggers and walked towards him leisurely. "Limit? Since when humans have limits? Long ago, we could only look up at the skies. Now, we own the skies."

The Crimson Knight snorted. "Own the skies? Wake up. Stop dreaming."

He then turned to the other Crimson Knight and ordered him to attack Kaiju first. While he was observing on the sideline. Although he knew Kaiju had killed the Crimson Knight earlier, that was because the Crimson Knight was unintelligent. The fact he could order the other Crimson Knight around conveyed he defeated it to convince it to serve him.

He was relaxed, watching on the side, staring at the running Crimson Knight towards his enemy. However, the more he lingered his gaze at Kaiju, the more he felt something was wrong. Kaiju was more relaxed than him. What was worse was his pets were just watching on the side as well, acting like him.

Their nonchalant behavior made him more vigilant.

’What in the...’

Before he was able to finish his sentence, Kaiju suddenly appeared in front of him. He was able to react, but that was not fast enough to block Kaiju’s blade from penetrating his eyes.

He screamed in pain, wildly swinging his double-edged heavy sword. The dagger was then pulled, and with his remaining eyes, he did not see Kaiju anymore.

Kaiju maneuvered above him and arrived behind him, not hesitating to use the Silent Kill.

He suddenly felt a pang of pain on his neck but then felt numb all of a sudden. Then, another wave of pain coursed through his body and mind, causing him to realize he had been pierced by daggers in the neck twice. The excessive bleeding caused him to feel dizzy, and, in the end, he fell to the ground, lifeless.

The Crimson Knight had just realized what happened after it turned around when it heard the scream of its kin as it lost Kaiju earlier. It was dumbfounded and terrified when it saw the lifeless body of its kin. Soon, it followed its kin after Snow and Little Gorilla attacked behind his back, taking advantage of the distraction.

Kaiju and his pets gathered around, staring at each other, and then guffawed.

This was probably the first time Kaiju was able to witness the difference of prior and post use of the Gacha System...
