Chapter 702: Alliance (Part 5)

"These two Golden Core stage demonic beasts seem to be the ones fighting over the Eight Stars Of Heavenly Jade Flower at the bottom of the cliff. It looks like the disciple from the Light Demon Sect got tricked by the disciple from the Demonic Night Palace." Amalia observed the scene in front of them for a moment and quickly analyzed the situation.

"Should we intervene?" Kenny Lin asked.

Amalia thought for a moment, "Yes, we should."

Given that the leader of the Dark Enclave faction had once shared valuable information with them, if the Light Demon Sect shared similar principles with the Dark Enclave faction, helping them wouldn’t be a bad idea.

Besides, with these two Golden Core stage demonic beasts presenting themselves, there was no reason not to take advantage of the situation.

Rani Huang knew how cunning Milan Geng could be.

He couldn’t hold out alone, but if he called for help from the Light Demon Sect, the Demonic Night Palace members would surely show up as well.

Just as he was hesitating, the raging Golden Core demonic beast lunged at her, baring its sharp fangs.

Suddenly, a white figure shot out from the nearby grass like a flash of lightning.

A tall figure quickly positioned itself in front of her, and the sword in his hand gleamed with a cold light.

A beam of light shot up into the sky, piercing through one of the demonic beast’s claws.

The Golden Core stage demonic beast let out a roar of pain and fury, lifting its injured paw off the ground and hovering in the air, warily eyeing the human who had suddenly appeared.

The white figure human didn’t give the demonic beast any time to react, transforming into a streak of deadly light that shot towards it.

The sword in his hand emitted a powerful and terrifying pressure, along with a suffocating sword aura.

As Kenny Lin sent his attack, the demonic beast let out a pained roar, after being struck by the sword light.

There were no visible wounds on the demonic beast’s body—the sword light had pierced straight through its forehead, leaving only a tiny blood hole.

The Golden Core stage demonic beast froze in mid-air for a few seconds, its once-bright golden eyes gradually losing their light.

Rani Huang stared in shock at Kenny Lin, who seemed like a divine figure descending from the heavens, her mouth agape and almost speechless.

She had never imagined that the "hero saving the beauty" scenario would happen to her.

What was even more astonishing was that this Golden Core demonic beast, which was among the top in combat power even among other Golden Core stage demonic beasts, couldn’t hold out for even a few seconds against Kenny Lin.

Although this Golden Core demonic beast had already been through fierce battles with other demonic beasts before this.

Meanwhile, Milan Geng was still unaware that the situation had drastically changed on Rani Huang’s side.

He was planning to lead the Golden Core demonic beast that was chasing him over to where Rani Huang was.

Suddenly, a massive boulder flew across his path, blocking his way.

Milan Geng’s figure involuntarily stopped for a moment.

In that brief moment, the Golden Core demonic beast caught up to him and landed a heavy blow.

Milan Geng barely had time to raise his arms to block, but his forearms were instantly torn open, and his body was sent flying.

"Who’s there!" Milan Geng who is now covered in blood, struggled to his feet, his face twisted in fury as he glared in the direction from which the boulder had come.

Amalia didn’t respond.

She saw the Golden Core demonic beast charge toward Milan Geng again.

Milan Geng was now forced to be on guard against the hidden attacker while also keeping an eye on the relentless Golden Core demonic beast.

His anger flared like molten lava, his violent aura making him appear as ruthless and unscrupulous as any demonic cultivator who would stop at nothing to achieve their goals.

"If you’ve got guts, come out and face me! Hiding in the shadows, what kind of skill is that?" he roared.

Milan Geng had clearly forgotten that when he usually ambushed others, it was always from behind, never face-to-face, because no one would ever trust a demonic cultivator from Demonic Night Palace.

A deep, mocking laugh echoed, "I prefer sneaking up from behind—what can you do about it?"

"Who are you?" Milan Geng’s expression shifted.

The voice sounded unfamiliar, not like someone from the Light Demon Sect.

Amalia looked in the direction of Kenny Lin’s voice.

Did he already take care of that Golden Core demonic beast so quickly?

She hadn’t wanted him to deal with the Demonic Night Palace people because she didn’t want him to get carried away.

"Who am I? I’m the one you want to kill—why don’t you guess who I am?" Kenny Lin teased.

"Are you from Light Demon Sect? So Rani Huang has been acting with me all along!" Milan Geng snapped, convinced he’d figured out the truth.

No wonder the other Light Demon Sect members were nowhere to be seen.

They must have set a trap and were just waiting for him to fall into it!

"I’m not from Light Demon Sect. Remember this—your grandpa here is from Green Lotus Sect," Kenny Lin’s figure appeared behind Milan Geng as he slashed out with his sword, breaking through Milan Geng’s defenses and leaving a fresh wound.

Milan Geng felt the sword energy searing his wound and realized it was a sword cultivator from the Green Lotus Sect.

He had guessed wrong.

"Aren’t those from the righteous path supposed to be at odds with the demonic path? Why did you save Rani Huang? Are you a spy planted by the Light Demon Sect in the Green Lotus Sect?"

"Your mind works fast. Yes, the righteous path and the demonic path are enemies, which is why I’m here to kill you now. Just accept your fate and stop talking so much nonsense. Are you trying to stall for time until your reinforcements arrive? It won’t work—they’re too busy to care about you right now," Kenny Lin mocked as he attacked again.
