Chapter 701: Alliance (Part 4)
The Light Demon Sect believed they were the rightful rulers of the demonic path, while the Demonic Night Palace also claimed that title, looking down on the path chosen by the Light Demon Sect.
Their rivalry was fierce, with conflicts erupting whenever they crossed paths.
As the two major demonic factions suddenly turned on each other, others who had been worried about the intentions of the Demonic Night Palace now watched with glee.
If these two factions weakened each other, it would remove significant competition.
Of course, the members of the Demonic Night Palace were not fools.
They knew that if they harmed the interests of the majority, they would unite against them, forcing everyone to team up to take them down.
Unless the Demonic Night Palace sought collective suicide, they wouldn’t dare act recklessly.
The members of the Light Demon Sect hurriedly tried to avoid the two rampaging Golden Core stage demonic beasts, while the disciples of the Demonic Night Palace followed them closely while grinning maliciously.
"Bastards, are you trying to force us to kill each other and letting the righteous factions take advantage?"
A disciple of the Light Demon Sect turned back, glaring coldly at the members of the Demonic Night Palace.
The disciple from the Demonic Night Palace sneered, "Only the Light Demon Sect will be at a disadvantage. If you’re unhappy, you can do it as we do."
The disciple from the Light Demon Sect was instantly furious.
Their enmity was a deep-seated one, not something that could be resolved with a few words.
Abruptly, she stopped and turned around to face the charging disciple from the Demonic Night Palace head-on.
She raised her sword and swung it forcefully.
The disciple from the Demonic Night Palace burst into laughter.
Just as the sword was about to strike him, he swiftly dodged the attack, causing the blade to slash into one of the Golden Core stage demonic beasts that were chasing them from behind.
The face of the Light Demon Sect disciple changed immediately.
She realized he had fallen into the trap set by the Demonic Night Palace disciple.
Desperately, she evaded the demonic beast’s attack.
The enraged Golden Core beast let out a roar, causing the ground to crack and sending debris flying everywhere.
The Light Demon Sect disciple scrambled to dodge, but the Golden Core stage demonic beast suddenly appeared to her right side.
Its front paw struck out, and before the disciple could react, she was sent flying.
She tumbled through the air for dozens of meters before coming to a stop, her chest shredded and her flesh and blood splattering everywhere.
Ahead of her, the laughter of the triumphant Demonic Night Palace disciple echoed, "Rani Huang, how does that taste? Don’t worry, that was just an appetizer—there’s more to come."
Perhaps this smug laughter irritated the other Golden Core stage demonic beast, as it immediately charged at him.
The laughter of the Demonic Night Palace disciple abruptly stopped, and now it was Rani Huang from the Light Demon Sect who began to laugh, revealing a mouthful of blood-stained teeth.
"After hunting geese all day, it looks like you’ve been pecked by one instead. How does that taste, Milan Geng?" Rani Huang retorted, throwing the words back at him.
"Don’t be too pleased with yourself. The first one to die will definitely be you!" Milan Geng, relying on his agility as a speed-focused demon cultivator, didn’t confront the Golden Core demonic beast directly.
Instead, he deliberately led the beast closer to Rani Huang.
"It seems like two Golden Core demonic beasts are heading this way," Kenny Lin remarked as he noticed Amalia finishing off a demonic beast nearby.
Suddenly, his gaze shifted in a particular direction, and his brow furrowed slightly.
The Golden Core stage demonic beast was sliced in half by them.
Since its body was too large to carry, Amalia skillfully cut off the usable parts, finishing the task quickly.
After standing up, she asked, "Another heavily injured Golden Core demonic beast?"
"It seems there are also two human cultivators involved. This could be interesting. Shall we go and take a look?" Kenny Lin’s tone was filled with curiosity.
While everyone else was focused on guarding the Eight Stars Of Heavenly Jade Flower, these two dared to venture out alone.
Amalia had no objections.
They had already dealt with the last demonic beast, and any remaining ones were likely hiding by now.
Searching further would only waste time.
The two of them headed to a dense forest, where tall grass surrounded them, reaching over their heads.
Suddenly, a thunderous crash echoed through the area.
A dark figure was blasted out by a Golden Core demonic beast, landing not far from Amalia and Kenny Lin.
The massive body of the Golden Core beast crashed down from above, causing the ground to shake violently.
At the same time, another dark figure flew out of the dense forest, landing on a large rock before disappearing back into the tall grass.
His voice echoed from all directions.
"The demonic path has only one true power, and that is the Demonic Night Palace. The indecisive ways of your Light Demon Sect are long outdated. Today, I’ll eliminate you on behalf of the demonic path!"
Amalia noticed that Rani Huang, who had fallen nearby, had lips as pale as paper, and her chest was drenched in blood—clearly, she was gravely injured.
"What’s going on between the Demonic Night Palace and the Light Demon Sect?" Kenny Lin, clueless about the situation, once again displayed his limited understanding.
This time, Amalia couldn’t be bothered to mock him, "You can think of the Light Demon Sect as the Dark Enclave faction and the Demonic Night Palace as the Bright Accord faction."
Kenny Lin immediately understood, "So, the leader of the Dark Enclave faction on Earth, the one who mentioned the ancient demonic cultivators, could very likely be from the Light Demon Sect on Mystic Void Continent?"
"I’m not sure, but it’s highly possible."
After spending so much time on Mystic Void Continent, Amalia had noticed that although the cultivation system on Earth wasn’t as refined as that of Mystic Void Continent, it still had many similarities.
