Chapter 592: Nameless Peak (Part 2)

At the time, it seemed unlikely that they would have any contact with Wuming Peak in the short term, so he didn’t introduce it to them.

Little did he know that the events would unfold so swiftly.

"Tian Wuya, I’ve brought your disciple."

Master Lian’s ethereal voice echoed through the Nameless Peak, piercing through the restrictions.

After a moment, a voice from Nameless Peak responded, seemingly calm but hiding some anger.

"I haven’t said I would take on disciples. Qinglan, you decide to take disciples yourself; why force others to do the same?"

Amalia paused for a moment as she realized that there hadn’t been any discussion beforehand.

"I have said, that taking someone under your wing won’t cause you any harm," Master Lian replied without changing his expression.

"Whether it causes harm or not isn’t up to you, Qinglan, to decide. I swore never to take on disciples again in my life. You can leave," the Nameless Peak’s voice retorted.

Rather than anger, Master Lian chuckled, "Changing your mind so quickly isn’t your style, Tian Wuya. Are you afraid of repeating past mistakes? It’s been so long, yet you still can’t let go?"

"Your disciples and grandchildren have died in battle, and not one had a good end. Even the one who survived is barely living. Yet you still have the audacity to take on disciples? It’s a pity to be your disciple, Qinglan," Tian Wuya laughed in anger, revealing his past trauma.

"Little boy, If you haven’t accepted him as your master, I suggest you to go as far as you can from him. There will be no happy ending if you follow him," Tian Wuya said.

"You’re trying to sow discord between my disciple and me," Master Lian shook his head.

"Is that called sowing discord? I’m just telling the truth," Tian Dao scoffed.

"Enough," a third party suddenly interjected.

Renshu Chang looked at Kenny Lin in horror.

Was this Junior Master Uncle about to say something shocking again?

Master Lian also looked at Kenny Lin and asked gently, "What’s the matter?"

"I don’t want Amalia to become her disciple," Kenny Lin said.

"Why not?"

"She can’t protect Amalia. Besides, her cowardly personality isn’t suitable for her. As the saying goes, ’One who stays near vermilion gets stained red, and one who stays near ink gets stained black.’ If Amalia spends too much time with her, she might get influenced negatively," Kenny Lin shook his head solemnly.

Renshu Chang stared blankly at Amalia, "Are you just going to let him continue like this?"

Amalia cleared her throat lightly, "Well then, let’s forget about it."

"Hmph, it’s two young brats trying to provoke me."

Tian Wuya scoffed.

She could see through their true intentions, but whether she was truly provoked, only she knew.

"We are trying to provoke you, but it’s also the truth. So far, I haven’t seen any benefit in becoming your disciple," Amalia replied.

Tian Wuya snorted coldly, "You dare say there’s no benefit? If it weren’t for my seclusion for years, how could your master, whose name shakes the world, have the chance to become my disciple? The benefits are beyond what you can imagine."

"Such as?" Kenny Lin asked.

The sky suddenly fell silent.

Probably because she realized that she might have said too much, Tian Wuya spoke again after a moment.

"Qinglan, is this your disciple? Your style of accepting disciples seems different this time. You’re accepting such a smooth-talking person? Renshu probably finds this hard to accept."

"You just need to answer yes or no," Master Lian remained non-committal.

He had allowed Kenny Lin to speak earlier, knowing he wasn’t concerned.

Tian Wuya, of course, knew this, but she disliked how this young man wanted to lead her by the nose.

"If you want me to take her as a disciple, I have a condition," Tian Wuya finally said.

"Go ahead," Master Lian nodded.

"Only if she slays a thousand Warrior-level devils and ten Leader-level devils without assistance and bringing their heads to me, I will accept her as my disciple," Tian Wuya declared boldly, before Master Lian could respond.

"Are you sure you’re not just refusing outright?" Kenny Lin interjected.

Warrior-level devils were equivalent to Foundation Building stage cultivators, while Leader-level Devils were akin to Golden Core stage cultivators.

Amalia who is currently in the late Foundation Building stage, considered that a thousand Warrior-level devils might be still achievable, but ten Leader-level devils posed an exceptionally high difficulty.

"I am indeed refusing. What will you do about it?" Tian Wuya was extremely arrogant, "What? Haven’t you reached Foundation Building stage within nineteen months? Now you doesn’t even have this bit of courage?"

"It would be more convincing if you didn’t add the last part," Kenny Lin commented sarcastically.

Amalia remained silent, feeling inclined to agree with Kenny Lin’s complain.

Tian Wuya’s clear refusal upfront followed by ambiguous conditions felt contradictory and provocative.

"I Agree to it," Tian Wuya remained silent after her outburst, uncertain if she felt embarrassed or angered.

Master Lian then spoke up, understanding that Tian Wuya had already made her greatest compromise.

"Very well, I agree," Amalia said, knowing Master Lian wouldn’t cheat her.

She wasn’t necessarily committed to becoming Tian Wuya’s disciple, but Master Lian had gone to Tian Wuya at Kenny Lin’s request.

Out of gratitude and consideration for Kenny Lin’s intentions, she couldn’t disregard their goodwill.

"Since you have accepted Senior Tian Wuya’s condition, then let’s start preparing. It is best to complete it within a month," said Master Lian as he turned around to leave.

"Yes, Master Uncle."

Amalia understood that if she delayed any longer, even if she completed the task eventually, Senior Tian Wuya would not accept her as a disciple.

Taking too long would diminish the accomplishment, making it less impressive even if the task was completed.

Master Lian then addressed Kenny Lin, "You come with me."

Kenny Lin seemed about to say something, but Amalia gave her a nudge.

Their small exchange did not escape Master Lian’s notice.

He smiled and said, "What? are you reluctant to follow your master?"
