Chapter 523: King Of The Sea (Part 2)
"I don’t want to argue with you here. If you want to protect the King, you can, but if you dare to do anything harmful to the King, even if it costs my life, I’ll drag you down with me. I mean what I say, and I’ll do what I promise," the Blue Ring Octopus declared firmly.
Upon hearing this, both Goblasharks’ expressions darkened, and their eyes became even more unfriendly.
But they didn’t say anything and soon restrained themselves.
However, it was evident to anyone that there was discord between them.
"In that case, to show our sincerity, we’ll take care of these two humans. You go protect the King," the male Goblashark spoke up.
The Blue Ring Octopus didn’t know what they were scheming, but it also had the same intention.
It couldn’t trust leaving the King in their hands, "Let’s do it this way then."
They were speaking the language of marine creatures, which Vigil Storozh and President Luis couldn’t understand.
But seeing the Goblasharks’ vigilant gazes, they knew things were getting complicated.
"Send the signal quickly," Vigil Storozh said with a grim face.
President Luis also noticed the Goblasharks’ stares and immediately took out the signal, shooting it into the sky without hesitation.
The signal burst into brilliant multicolored light like fireworks.
At that moment, on the waiting island, Zanilia Zhao quickly noticed.
"Why so soon?"
Zanilia Zhao was greatly surprised.
It hadn’t been even half an hour since they rushed over to her Grandfather’s location.
Now they were withdrawing.
Had they already successfully found out the truth, or had they been discovered?
If it was the former, it was fine.
But if it was the latter, what if something happened to Grandfather and President Luis?
Zanilia Zhao hesitated repeatedly, deciding to wait a few more minutes.
If they didn’t see them coming, she would go find them.
The appearance of the Goblasharks unexpectedly disrupted everyone’s plans.
Despite knowing that the Goblasharks might have malicious intentions, the Blue Ring Octopus prioritized the King’s safety above all else.
It glanced at the Goblashark couple, who were already entangled with the humans, and then dove into the sea.
As it turned away, it didn’t notice the Goblashark couple exchanging a glance as they watched it leave.
However, Amalia and Kenny Lin noticed it.
"These Goblasharks clearly have bad intentions. Let’s go down and take a look. For now, President Luis and Vigil Storozh should be fine," Amalia said immediately.
Wealth communicated their owner’s intentions to the Pyrosplash and Abyssard.
At first, the Pyrosplash and Abyssard were reluctant.
They still didn’t fully trust these two humans, and bringing them to the King seemed too risky.
If the King got angry, they would be punished.
"Fools, if the humans really wanted to harm your King, would they send only a few people?"
Wealth who is growing impatient with their hesitation, snapped.
Honestly, staying stupid was fine, so why suddenly become smart?
"It does make sense," the Pyrosplash said after thinking it over carefully.
Wealth continued to persuade them, "Moreover, you saw it just now. Did the humans and your superior really go all out? The humans just want to know the truth about the spatial rift."
The Pyrosplash, swayed, and turned to the Abyssard, "Why don’t we take them over first? The King’s power is immense; these two humans can’t do much. Last time, even two top human spiritual cultivators were injured by the King. Besides, you need treatment for your wound, or you’ll really die."
The Abyssard glanced at it.
Last time, the King had been prepared, and its power had been accumulated for a long time, unlike this time.
However, it agreed on one point: the human spiritual cultivators this time were neither as powerful nor as numerous as the last time.
"Then let’s go down and take a look," the Abyssard said heavily, "but if they try anything funny, we have many powerful companions below. Let them consider the consequences."
Wealth directly informed Amalia that they agreed, omitting any threats.
After all, with her and Kenny Lin’s determination, no one could stop them from doing what they wanted.
Once Wealth conveyed their approval, the Abyssard led them down.
As they approached their destination, Amalia and Kenny Lin felt an emanating energy that was impure, along with the energy fluctuations from the black fragments.
If they hadn’t known it was a spatial rift, the dissipating energy alone wouldn’t have suggested it was the King’s domain.
Unlike other sea areas that became pitch dark immediately, this area grew increasingly bright, with surrounding floating creatures emitting faint glows, illuminating the vicinity.
As they swam down, a large shadow appeared ahead.
It turned out to be a massive black rock and a colorful coral reef.
Adhering to the corals were glowing jellyfish, creating a stunning display of colors.
Suddenly, an energy fluctuation came from ahead.
"Don’t think you can escape!"
A black shadow shot out of the water at incredible speed, followed closely by the Blue Ring Octopus.
The black and blue figures swiftly broke through the surface, causing a massive wave.
"It’s Senior Zhao’s aura," Amalia recognized.
"Humans again. What are they up to?"
The Abyssard glared at Amalia and Kenny Lin.
"We already told you, the humans are just here to uncover the truth," Wealth explained patiently to prevent any misunderstanding that could lead to a fight.
"It better be that way, or we won’t let them off," the Abyssard snorted, turning to the Pyrosplash, "Let’s go protect the King to prevent further disturbances."
The two fish immediately swam downward at high speed, no longer concerned with the two humans.
Amalia and Kenny Lin quickly followed them.
When the two fish noticed the humans following them, they deliberately sped up.
In the sea, it was their domain.
If the humans couldn’t keep up, that was their own fault and had nothing to do with the fish.
However, much to their dismay, as they neared their destination and glanced back, they saw the two humans still following them at a leisurely pace.
