"How have you managed to sustain my grandfather’s life so far?" Amalia asked.

"We take turns transferring spiritual energy to Uncle Fernando, but each time requires an enormous amount," Yolanda Yoder explained.

"How much exactly is ’enormous’?"

"Every time the Devouring Life Poison consumes energy, it targets the spiritual energy within Uncle Fernando’s meridians. It’s insatiable, constantly draining spiritual energy. Each transfer requires at least half of Uncle Florentino’s spiritual energy."

Florentino Yoder is a Tier 1 spiritual cultivator with incredibly powerful spiritual energy, surpassing several Tier 2 spiritual cultivators combined.

This meant that for Yolanda Yoder and other Tier 2 spiritual cultivators to transfer energy to Fernando Yoder, it would drain the spiritual energy of two or three people.

"Do you need help?"

Amalia was surprised to hear Kenny Lin offer to help.

Kenny Lin frowned slightly and said, "Why are you looking at me like that? As his granddaughter’s husband, giving him some spiritual energy is perfectly natural, isn’t it?"

Florentino Yoder and Yolanda Yoder were both taken aback.

"Of course," Amalia couldn’t help but smile wryly.

She had underestimated his shamelessness—there was no way he’d miss an opportunity to earn favor with her grandfather.

She advised, "Be careful and don’t cause trouble."

Kenny Lin responded confidently, "Do I seem like the type to cause trouble? It’s just a little spiritual energy. I’ll recover quickly enough."

Florentino Yoder remained neutral, but Yolanda Yoder was speechless.

While she acknowledged his talent, even geniuses have their limits.

She wasn’t sure how much Kenny Lin’s spiritual energy had increased after breaking through to Tier 1, but she had heard of his achievements in Fruit City No.1 and knew his spiritual energy must be exceptional compared to most Tier 1 spiritual cultivators.

Still, spiritual energy wasn’t something that could be replenished quickly.

If his recovery was instantaneous, he would be invincible in battle, and the war would never end.

The Kenny Lin in front of her was different from her impression of him as someone reserved and composed.

"Aunt, how is the matter I asked you to investigate?"

Once the two of them had left, Amalia asked Yolanda Yoder.

Yolanda Yoder knew she stayed back just to ask her about this matter, "The two people you mentioned—I’ve investigated them, and there does seem to be something off about them."

"Did you find any evidence?" Amalia asked eagerly.

Yolanda Yoder shook her head regretfully, "It’s not that simple. When I went to investigate them, I found some strange traces. It seems someone else is investigating them as well."

Amalia frowned, "Could it be the Lin family?"

"It doesn’t seem likely. They appear to be trying to erase evidence. I suspect it could be the Yoder family. They are the ones who would most benefit from something happening to Kenny Lin," Yolanda Yoder said firmly.

Amalia considered for a moment and then shook her head, "It might not necessarily be the Yoder family. They might not have the energy to handle other matters right now. It could also be the work of the Astral Demoniaco Sect."

"What’s the connection with the Astral Demoniaco Sect?"

Yolanda Yoder was puzzled, but then remembered that Kenny Lin, as the Demon Slayer, had killed many Astral Demoniaco Sect’s member.

Amalia gave her a surprising answer, "The Yoder family is colluding with the Astral Demoniaco Sect."

Yolanda Yoder was shocked.

Amalia told her about how she and Kenny Lin had eavesdropped on a conversation between the Astral Demoniaco Sect and Sergi Yoder in the central disaster zone.

"Raithwall Yoder must be out of his mind to dare collude with the Astral Demoniaco Sect. Does he think the Yoder family doesn’t have enough problems already?"

Yolanda Yoder sneered, growing more eager for the day the Yoder family’s crimes would be exposed, "Based on what you’ve said, it does seem quite likely that the Astral Demoniaco Sect is involved."

"Aunt, what else did you find?" Amalia pressed.

Yolanda Yoder told her to be patient, "I did find something. Diego Luna’s case was easier. He harmed some of his teammates, some of whom were students from Heavenly Path University. Finding a few of the victims allowed me to help Kenny Lin prove that Diego Luna was a villain."

"I’ve found two of the students so far. They’ve agreed to testify if needed."

"Eduardo Norierga’s case is a little bit more complicated. He’s a mercenary and knows a lot of people in various circles. He’s well-liked for being a good person, and many people remain in the dark about his true nature. If news about Kenny Lin being the Demon Slayer comes out, these people might use it against him."

"However, no disguise can be maintained indefinitely without leaving some traces."

Amalia’s eyes lit up, "Have you found key evidence, Aunt?"

Yolanda Yoder smiled, "You know, since he’s a mercenary, there would be issues with profit distribution. Eduardo Norierga may seem friendly on the surface, but he’s ruthless. He doesn’t work alone; there are other people who are covering him."

"You mean finding those people could provide evidence?"

"That’s right. Additionally, there is another piece of evidence," Yolanda Yoder said with a sly smile, "Do you know what Eduardo Norierga’s nickname in the mercenary circles is?"

Amalia shook her head.

She knew little about Eduardo Norierga and would have investigated herself if she could.

"A good man who spreads his wealth," Yolanda Yoder said each word with a hint of irony.

The nickname seemed especially contradictory for a mercenary known for killing and looting.

"This is what I mean by Eduardo Norierga is very good at being a good person. His generosity is strategically directed. He specifically chooses promising individuals to support."

"You know, people with potential are likely to achieve something significant in the future. Eduardo Norierga assists them during their most challenging times, earning their gratitude much more than he would in ordinary situations."
