Chapter 447: The Beginning Of The War (Part 15)

The Purple Pavoraiah, which had been driven deep underground, hadn’t reappeared for a long time.

The weaker individuals could only watch the pit, while the stronger ones sensed that there was no chance of the mutated creature reemerging; its energy had vanished.

The human gradually became aware of this, a hint of disbelief spreading among them.

Kenny Lin had taken down yet another high-level creature!

Cheers erupted suddenly, echoing through the sky.

If morale could be seen, it would have been evident how immensely brave and determined the humans had become at that moment.

"This can’t be! The Purple Pavoraiah was stronger than me, how could it have died?"

The Yellow Owlfire can’t believe it.

"So maybe you should worry about yourself," Hans Manuel immediately rushed over, wielding a thunder hammer that crackled with lightning.

The dark clouds in the sky were summoned by his lightning, rumbling ominously.

As he struck the Yellow Owlfire, a thick bolt of lightning struck the creature at hundreds of kilometers per hour.

The Yellow Owlfire, too stunned to react quickly, was hit on one wing, emitting black smoke as it staggered back and collided with the Copper Vulturion behind.

The Copper Vulturion wasn’t faring much better against its opponent, General Silva.

General Silva was one of the strongest in the military, and seeing his comrades defeat their opponents one by one, he didn’t hold back.

He immediately pressured the Copper Vulturion into a retreat, with Hans Manuel arriving just in time to assist.

On another front, the Silver Goldmontus and Pyrogriffon had teamed up against Mr. Lin, but they were struggling to gain an advantage.

Their hope had been pinned on the Bronze Formanterror, but there hadn’t been any updates.

"Goldmontus, haven’t the Bronze Formanterror already entered the human city? Why haven’t we heard anything?"

The Pyrogriffon was confused since there had been explosions earlier.

If the Pyrogriffon was puzzled, the Silver Goldmontus was even more bewildered.

It couldn’t have predicted that there were mutated creatures that would recognize humans as their masters and work with them to foil their plans.

If it had known, it would have never used sound waves as signals to relay information.

The person Silver Goldmontus feared the most now was Kenny Lin, as he had already killed the Purple Pavoraiah.

If he were to assist another human spiritual cultivator, more high-level mutated creatures would perish.

At this moment, Kenny Lin made a move that surprised everyone.

He didn’t go to assist Tony Lin, who was closest to him, but instead turned around and quickly vanished into the city.

This sudden action left the high-level mutated creatures visibly shaken.

In the rear yard of the treatment area, Amalia immobilized the Bronze Formanterror with her amulets.

The tranquil amulets only lasted for twenty seconds, giving the soldiers a chance to strike and kill many immobilized ants.

However, Amalia quickly ran out of amulets.

The number of Bronze Formanterror emerging from the ground was decreasing, which made the soldiers very happy.

"Miss Amalia, we’ve almost finished off the Bronze Formanterror," a soldier reported with enthusiasm.

Amalia’s expression was serious, "That doesn’t seem right. The Bronze Formanterror form massive colonies, and each deployment shouldn’t be so small."

Although they had killed many ants, upon closer inspection, they found they had only dealt with a few hundred of them.

"What does this mean?" the soldier’s smile faded, replaced with worry.

Amalia asked Wealth to listen, and the creature lay down and listened for a moment.

It then pointed its paws in two different directions.

Upon seeing this, Amalia immediately knew there was trouble.

"The Bronze Formanterror have dug two more tunnels underground," Amalia said.

Everyone turned pale at the news.

One soldier quickly offered, "I’ll go inform Adjudant Calderón right away."

Amalia stood there, her expression changing as she considered the situation.

She thought further ahead than the soldiers.

The sudden branching of the ants suggested the worst possible outcome: a queen ant might be commanding them.

The queen ant would undoubtedly be the strongest, but it was unclear from which direction it would attack.

If it attacked here, she could defend against it, but if it moved toward the other two directions, she feared that Adjudant Calderón and his team might not be able to hold them off.

As she was contemplating the situation, a sudden cold wind blew from behind her.

A black beam flashed past her, striking a Bronze Formanterror that was pouncing towards her, decapitating it and causing blue blood to spray out.

"What are you daydreaming about?"

Kenny Lin appeared behind her, frowning unhappily.

Amalia glanced at him but didn’t mention that she had already noticed the Bronze Formanterror and was about to take action before he got to it first.

"Why are you here? What happened to the Purple Pavoraiah?"

"It’s dead," Kenny Lin replied succinctly.

Amalia’s eyes lit up, "That’s right, the Bronze Formanterror have already split off underground and are preparing to attack from two different directions. I’ll leave you in charge here, and I’ll head with Adjudant Calderón to guard the other side."

Kenny Lin wanted to go with her, but before he could say anything, she continued.

"I suspect the queen ant might be below us, so I’ll leave it to you."

With that, Amalia quickly rushed off.

Kenny Lin looked at the pit full of Bronze Formanterror corpses and guessed why the queen ant had come here.

Amalia, along with Wealth, first went to find Adjudant Calderón.

She told him the Bronze Formanterror had split off underground and provided him with a rough range to guard.

She then moved on to find the other group of Bronze Formanterror.

Left behind, Kenny Lin was somewhat displeased.

He exuded an aura of coldness that made the surrounding soldiers reluctant to approach him.

They had always heard that Major General Lin was difficult to approach, and the rumors seemed to be true.

Though he was annoyed, Kenny Lin didn’t deliberately release a strong oppressive force; instead, he restrained his own aura.
