Chapter 253: Repairing The Soldier’s Artifact (Part 1)
Being a soldier was indeed different.
Amalia finally experienced the benefits of strict discipline.
They were accustomed to following orders and accustomed to cooperation.
Unlike some independent individuals who might not listen to your commands even if you gave them an order.
That was the difference.
The situation quickly caught Walter Santiago’s attention as he realized his subordinates were suffering heavy casualties.
It was filling him with both shock and anger.
Upon closer inspection, Walter Santiago discovered two powerful individuals whose infiltrating the battlefield.
"You did this on purpose!"
Walter Santiago glared angrily at General Silva.
General Silva had already noticed their presence and deliberately diverting Walter Santiago’s attention throughout the battle, and preventing him from focusing on the battlefield’s situation.
However, the truth couldn’t be concealed for too long, but for him, it was enough.
"Haha, Walter Santiago, who’s really not letting go of whom today?" General Silva retorted, feeling thoroughly satisfied with himself.
Walter Santiago’s expression darkened.
"The military is truly despicable, they are actually ambushing us."
"Is there any need to prepare an ambush just to deal with you?"
General Silva sneered.
"If you hadn’t ambushed us, how could this have happened?"
With heavy losses for the Astral Demoniaco Sect, Walter Santiago had no choice but to order a retreat.
"Kenny, why are you here?"
General Silva was surprised to see Kenny Lin now because he had never seen him dressed in Black Clothes before.
He then glanced at Amalia, "And who is this?"
He hadn’t missed it.
If it weren’t for Amalia organizing his troops, the casualties would have been several times higher or more than it is now.
"She’s Amalia, and she’s my..."
"A freshman at Heavenly Path University,"
Kenny Lin was interrupted by Amalia before he could even finish his sentence.
She was afraid that a certain someone might suddenly blurt out "my wife" words from his mouth.
A curious expression flickered in General Silva’s eyes.
He remembered that freshmen at Heavenly Path University weren’t supposed to be here, but he didn’t pursue it.
Perhaps this person was brought in by Kenny Lin; bringing in a freshman here wasn’t a difficult task.
"The younger generation is formidable. Are you interested in joining the military?" General Silva asked with a smile.
The military always needed someone with commanding talents who could also make the soldiers obedient.
Amalia paused for a moment, it probably because she never had encountered a general who inviting her to join the military at their first meeting.
She knew that in her previous life, she and the military were not two kinds of people who could peacefully coexist.
Calmly, she replied, "Thank you General, but I don’t have that plan for the time being."
"It’s okay, you can consider it. Feel free to come find me if you change your mind," General Silva treated talented individuals with kindness.
Amalia nodded, she would considered it without necessarily to agree with it.
With the enemy successfully repelled, General Silva’s soldiers began clearing the battlefield.
The bodies of the fallen soldiers were cremated, and their ashes were placed in urns to be collected by their loved ones for burial.
The entire process was solemn, with no one uttering any word.
The most challenging task was how to deal with the wounded soldiers.
Some of them were critically injured, and even if they had accompanying military medics, they couldn’t take care all of them.
Thankfully, with Amalia’s assistance, the situation gradually stabilized.
"My hand... can it be reattached?" The soldier with the severed hand looked at Amalia.
Whe he recalling her previous words, he was unable to resist to asking her.
Amalia paused when she staring at the soldier’s despairing yet hopeful expression.
He suddenly reminded Amalia with Javier Hermandez’s situation.
As she treated him, she said, "It’s not impossible, but it might be more complicated."
She had been thinking that she didn’t have enough opportunities to test the method; she couldn’t be certain if it would work a hundred percent.
"Does that mean there’s still a way?" the soldier’s eyes instantly lit up with hope.
He still felt a little bit uneasy, as if afraid it might be too good to be true.
"I’ll do my best, but not right now. If you trust me, keep your severed hand preserved as fresh as possible. Once we’re out of here, I’ll contact you," Amalia said calmly.
The soldier’s injury was slightly less severe than Javier Hermandez’s, so there shouldn’t be much of a problem.
"Okay, here’s my contact number." The soldier’s hands trembled with excitement as he opened his communicator.
He didn’t care whether Amalia really had a solution or not; he believed in her anyway.
Other wounded soldiers also overheard their conversation.
When they heard that Amalia might have a way to reattach their broken limbs, those people who thought they would become a disabled also began to show rays of hope.
"Amalia, my leg is broken. Can it still be treated?" A soldier dragged his broken leg, limping, to Amalia’s side.
He was also someone who didn’t hold out any hope.
If it weren’t for Amalia not letting them, who were injured, lag behind, he would have long since perished with the Astral Demoniaco Sect’s people.
Amalia asked for him to sit down, and a blue light energy from appeared her palm and entered the soldier’s body.
The bones in his lower leg were shattered, with hardly any them were left intact, but because the nerves weren’t damaged too much, it was much easier to deal with than the soldier who had a severed hand.
After the blue light energy entered his body, the soldier clearly felt less pain in his lower leg.
A smile crept onto his face involuntarily, "How is it?"
"It’s not big problem, it can be treated," Amalia confirmed before giving him an answer.
The soldier was overjoyed and gave Amalia his contact information.
One after another, Amalia gave affirmative answers to the injured soldiers.
The others soldier didn’t care much.
